Thought it was an Italian eatery. It has changed to an all-day breakfast menu plus a couple of lunch specials. Not what I was expecting. Good coffee though.
A lovely lunch enjoyed by my friends and I. No fuss menu with an interesting variety of dishes plus the sandwiches on display. Something for everyone, all our meals were delicious and presented beautifully. Friendly staff and great service.
Really delicious breakfast. We will be back!
Great breakfast, catered to my dietary requirements and even allowed a friend to alter a burger.... this place is awesome and the food and drinks are super delicious!
Great Luncheon place to share with either just two or more.
It was just lovely. It’s rare to get such beautifully executed classic dishes.
Good in all respects , food, wine & wait staff but too noisy with people talking far too loudly
Very reliable place. Food is uncomplicated and always good
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Cafe Latte. The carpaccio was the best I've ever had!
Fabulous meal. Delicious pasta. Wish we had a place like this in Sydney.
Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food. A cute little restaurant in the middle of Hawksburn.
Lovely cosy restaurant with professional attentive staff. Good wine selection and not over the top on wine by the glass. Fish was fresh and very flavoursome but a tad on the expensive side give the small piece of fish that was served.
Cafe Latte is a place I love to go: it feels good, you can have a great conversation, convient location and great food.
However, three things have changed over the years. 1. Hours, they appear to no longer open for breakfast 2. Chai, they no longer offer Chai Latte in their drinks selection 3. Service, and this is the important element, some of the waiting staff are dismissive, surly and they just don’t make you feel welcome. (and this wasn’t the newer staff).
Our dining experience was great this week ... except right at the end when the service element played an abrupt negative role turning a great night into one with an unnecessary crappy end.
So ... I’d say give it a go but be wary of the Service attitude and if you get rushed out some of that ... don’t go back because it means our experience has become common practice.
We ordered Gnocci which was so salty that it was unenjoyable. We also ordered veal scallopine which was very good. Service was good and we were given a free drink each because of the poor quality of the gnocci, but it di not compensate for the failure with the food
This was really disappointing. Cafe Latte was once great but the service was lacklustre and the food overpriced.
The staff usually so helpful and pleasant clearly had a problem. The service was painfully slow the meals took over an hour to be served and the restaurant was half empty. The food was delicious except for one dish the veal, it arrived 10 minutes after the rest of the meals, clearly forgotten and unfortunately over cooked to the consistency of rubber.
I’m sorry to say a less then impressive experience.
I enjoyed taking my daughter for this wonderful Italian experience. Comparibly the 'France Soir/Bistro Thierry' experience for Italian cuisine
Cafe Latte ois an excellent Hawksburn restaurant serving classical Italian food. The antipasto plate is great value, the Veal is beautiful with a great sauce & the pasta dishes are varied & excellent
Service is great & the wine list covers excellent Italian wines
We dined at caffe latte for a birthday they were extremely accommodating and made a special request risotto for the birthday girl.
Great authentic Italian food and wines. Wonderful staff. Don’t let the name put you off. This a great restaurant not a cafe.
Delicious food and nice relaxed Monday locals pasta night with BYO option :)
Brilliant - just how I remembered!! Ambience, gorgeous staff, and amazing food!
Just a pleasure to go to. The service and the food were simply stunning. We are happy to recommend and go back again
Food and waiting staff excellent. Very busy with a great atmosphere.
lovely restaurant very Italian nice ambience and great food
All meals were good but one main course did not come until everyone else had finished theirs ? Why
Great lunch with friends. Will definitely go again.
I’ve been a regular for about 15 years and have always enjoyed Luca and his team’s hospitality. Dined here last week with a business colleague and Id have to say best meal I’ve enjoyed here - Red Emperor - fish of the day was absolutely delicious. Service as fabulous as well. Thanks guys!
Delicious long lunch with great service...we will be back!
A lovely meal in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting. Fabulous service and delicious food.
We were met warmly at the door and the warmth continued throughout the night. Great service from Aristotle, great food and a terrific night. Will return soon.
Good food and good service.
Italian wine list but waitress was knowledgeable and helpful in her suggestions.
I found the restaurant to be very noisy. Table next with 3 men who were very unrespectful for other diners. They were talking very loud.
The service was slow and food did not have taste and was not hot.
I asked questions of waiter and he could not understand English and kept speaking Italian words and I didn't know what he was talking about.
I have been coming to this restaurant for years and I was very disappointed overall.
A lack of soy milk is not only odd but disappointing for a restaurant of this standard.
Delicious food and lovely ambience ..... wine list very pricey. Overall a great night.
Food was Ok to pretty good. No issues with the attentive waiters. No-one seemed to know about the wines, ie the tasting notes or even having tried them which was surprising and disappointing. Management needs to invest more in education of their staff.
Really rude service and overpriced. So disappointing I used to really love it there.
Excellent Pasta, good value Italian wines, great friendly service, relaxed Bistro/cafe atmosphere
Overall it was a good experience and together with our 2 guests ex England we enjoyed the night.
Service was great with good drinks options. Entrées & Mains outstanding but for all 4 of us (who ordered 4 different selections) Desserts were (to put it politely) underwhelming and disappointing. Which spoilt the otherwise high quality evening!
For a 'not cheap' fine dining experience that is how the final assessment for Food was 3/5 ad Overall 4/5 (instead of 5/5).
We had a very enjoyable night with delicious food and great service. We sat for a long time and did not feel we were being rushed out or ignored. Highly recommend.
