The first thing is when you walk in how beautiful the restaurant is. Second is how warm and welcoming the staff are, even on a very busy Mother's Day. We were able to get custom made cocktails and the food is very good with new dishes to explore. A real Iowa treasure.

Mothers day is always very busy at Cafe Dodici, but they still do an outstanding job. It has been my favorite restaurant since it opened years ago.

What an amazing experience we had at Dodici’s! We met with friends there to celebrate my 60th birthday🎂We started with excellent bottles of wine and delicious bruschetta. Yum! It was followed with the Dodici salad which didn’t disappoint! Alexio was a wonderful waiter and was very attentive! Many of us had the chicken roulade, a signature dish that was terrific with gnocchi and asparagus. I topped off the evening with creme brûlée that melted in my mouth! They also brought out a special plate with Happy Birthday written in Italian along with a chocolate in a gift box. They know how to make a girl feel special💕The owner, Lorraine, also came by to speak to us about the history of the restaurant, her time spent in Italy, as well as checking on the quality and service we were receiving during our evening. What a wonderful gem to have in Washington, Iowa! We will definitely be back!! We were supposed to go into Chicago to celebrate my birthday, but my birthday spent at Dodici’s was just as delightful!

Consistently amazing food and service. Atmosphere is like no other restaurant within 100 miles, and you can always count on a quiet relaxing meal. If you don’t live in the town of Washington, get in your car and make the trip. You will be planning your next visit before you leave the restaurant. I already made reservations for their Sunday brunch for Easter and Mother’s Day because it will fill up quickly. If you have a reason to spend the night and need a place to stay, be sure to check out their rooms upstairs. It’s like staying at a bed-and-breakfast.

My FAVORITE restaurant ever! The food is amazing, the service is top notch, and the ambiance is outstanding. To top it all off, it is also very reasonably priced! I highly recommend going on Thursday for their half off wine night and between 5 and 6pm daily, they have an early bird menu that essentially offers a soup/salad and a dessert on the house! What a deal! However, it is worth the drive any day of the week. What makes this place extra special is how friendly and welcoming everyone is. All guests are made to feel accepted and catered to. A real gem.
