The food was excellent!!!! Far exceeded our expectations! The service was very friendly and efficient! The atmosphere was cute, quiet, historic!! We will definitely be visiting again! Highly recommend!!
I would definitely go back. Our server and the bartender were great. Our group ordered a bunch of apps before our meals. They were all fantastic- wings, clams casino, and roasted garlic platter. Everyone loved their dinner except for me, which is the only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5. I had the eggplant parm and it was disappointing. Not crispy like I hoped for and the spaghetti was a little dry and under sauced. I’ll be back though. Drinks were fantastic too. Good spot.
Awesome food- friendly service! Efficient dining, plenty of time to eat, drink and get to our show!
New Year’s Eve dinner for 3 people at 7:30PM. Waitress was personable, but a little pushy and then everything slowed down. Had to ask for bread. Slow getting are drinks served. Appetizers: clam casino was bland and stuffed hot peppers with extremely large amount of cheese and peppers were hot. 2 of us HAD LOBSTER RAVIOLI with 3 shrimps on top with red pepper cream sauce. The shrimps were cooked perfectly. Lobster ravioli with very little lobster, but not short on bread crumbs. No seasoning was noticed. The red pepper sauce sweet no spice in the sauce. Chicken Francais: chicken cooked well but no lemon taste. Pasta was not freshly cooked.
This is a restaurant not worth us going back.
New Year’s Eve menu was different and more expensive which we didn’t expect. Food and service were both great! Dining room was cold.
It was a first time for our friends. They truly enjoyed the atmosphere and the portion sizes. There was a little mess up with the beet salad. It came without the beets. Quick fix no worries. Will definitely be back.
Excellent as always! Love the eggplant, my son loved the gnocchi, my husband had the fettuccine Alfredo which they enjoyed. The banana peppers and spinach bread apps were awesome too!
Four of us ate here before a performance at a nearby theater. We had excellent service and the food
was very good. The lobster ravioli got top marks while the roast beef sandwich was tender and the fries
crispy and hot. The steak salad was tasty but the person ordering the chicken picata thought the chicken should have been pounded thinner. Coffee was excellent.
The decor of the restaurant is simple, the noise level can get a bit loud if the place is busy.
I did think it was a little chilly, though. Please, turn up the heat!
Good food, good service and atmosphere in the restaurant was great
I ordered the Beef Tenderloin, Wife got the salmon, Daughter got the lobster ravioli. Server was mostly attentive. Food was slow to be delivered. Waited 35 minutes between soup and entree being served. Ordered my beef medium rare, it was served well done and burned. Also, the entire plate was almost cold. However, my wife and daughters plates were hot. Told them about the beef tenderloin and they still charged me for the dinner. Very disappointed.
The food was great, the service was great, the noise level was terrible. We could hardly carry on a conversation at our table. I don’t know what you can do, but soundproof tiles maybe? Everything else was super
Poor service. Only 4 slices of bread (1 per
Person) without any butter. The seasoning oil was so small that you got one dip per person. The steak was tough. The ravioli was a small portion. Had to raise voice to get attention for more bread and dessert. She only had four tables and it wasn’t that busy. Normally we’ve had
Good experiences in the past but not this last visit.
We have eaten hee many times. Food and service is always top notch. We have our favorite server(Madeline) who gives top notch service no matter how busy.
LesMis theatre night. Seated promptly...had 5:30 reservations. Server was attentive and efficient. Orders included roasted red pepper soup which was very good. Entrees of potato gnocchi, chicken francaise and steak tenderloin. All were very tasty. Had plenty of time to enjoy coffee before strolling over to Shea’s.
Only minor complaint when a vodka martini on the rocks with a twist of lemon is ordered the bartender should not arbitrarily toss in olive juice. Isn’t that a dirty martini? Anyway after sip was taken and salty olive taste immediately detected our great server Kate took it back and returned with the proper mix.
We will be back again on theatre night.
Terrible service 25 minute to get drinks after we ordered them. Food was average. I have had good experiences in the past but this time it was awful. Server didn’t ask how our food was or if we want drink refills and threw the ketchup on the table instead of placing it. Roast beef was dry, bread was not fresh. Far from their A game on this night
Great meal. They need more help.
Great food, Excellent drinks, fantastic waitress! Came here before a show at Shea's with my mom and was pleasantly surprised! The service was quick, but not rushed, the food tasted great and was HUGE portions and we will absolutely be coming back and recommending to friends!
The food was very good, but our server was very slow to take the order (even drinks). It was also very loud and difficult to have a conversation (we were not at the bar).
Was excellent ! Great food , great service ! Will be back
Was a bit chilly in the restaurant. Food was ok, proximity to Sheas is great. All in all I would go back
Great service! Specials were awesome! Perfect for a preshow dinner.
Our waitress was great. We were surprised at the small menu and how expensive one glass of wine iwas. The food was very good.
We have season tickets for Shea's and always go to Cabaret before the show. Always excellent service and food! Portions are huge!
Fantastic server. Quiet snowy weekday evening in Buffalo. Good draft selection, a lot of options. Very good food.
Food and Service were excellent. It was a little loud and temperature was cold, other than that very good experience.
Not sure if this just wasn't their night but even so, we won't be going back. We had to ask what tonight's specials were. We were informed there was a party tonight so I guess that should have been our first sign. We were there at 4:00 well ahead of any other diners so there really is no benefit of the doubt to give. We ordered the garlic platter which was described as a charcuterie. We were asked if we wanted extra crostini as people always ask for it. Waitress did not tell us it cost extra. The special was described as cajun blackened salmon with a lemon cream sauce, sweet mashed potatoes and vegetables. My husband ordered that and I ordered Steak gorgonzola salad. Waitress said soup du jour was roasted red pepper and their side salad ice berg with cukes tomatoes, etc and that a choice of one or the other with my husband's entree. She forgot to ask until we were almost done with the gross garlic platter if he wanted salad or soup and he said soup. She then informed us that the soup was tomato basil bisque instead. So basically tomato soup. The stuffed roasted garlic was over cooked and bland. The artichokes were marinated in a weird combo of spices. The two herb cream cheeses and olive tapenade were tasty. The peppers and random tomatoes and capers not great. Our entrees arrive and right away I can tell it's blue cheese on my salad and not gorgonzola. My husband has butternut smashed squash, not mashed sweet potatoes. Waitress offers to replace salad but at this point we're over this place. She offers us a canoli or dessert to go, which we accept for the error. Until we receive the check to find a $4 crostini charge which means we basically paid for the canoli. All around a pricey poor experience that we will not repeat.
Well when we got there for dinner she sat us down right away. We ordered dinner & actually took our time. I felt we where being rushed. She kept coming up to us and asking how was our meals. I had ordered the French onion soup & a beet salad with chicken. The french onion soup was really good. When they brought my salad my friend asked are there any beets inside the salad? I kept looking & looking well let me tell you there wasn't any. I couldn't believe it.
When we where ready to pay I said something to the girl and she said let me see what I can do. I did have some of the salad left over to take home. Well she said we put some in for you.
We were there on an off night (Tuesday), so there were few tables. Service was well paced; not rushed and not dragging. Food was good and well portioned (I had the tenderloin. My wife had the daily salmon special). Definitely add it to your rotation of special Buffalo restaurants.
We’ve been to Cabaret many times for dinner before attending a show at Sheas. The food and service is very good and they always have us out in plenty of time for the show. There are also many good selections to choose from. Our only complaint is the noise level there. It’s very hard to have a conversation there. That said though, , it’s still one of our “go-to” choices before Shea’s given the location, good food, reasonable prices, and prompt service.
Limited menu for dinner. Casual sandwiches and appetizers take up 50% of menu. Pre-theatre entree menu needs to be expanded.
Perfect pre show spot... service, specialty cocktails and food absolutely top notch!
Had a little difficulty hearing the other two at my table at times.
Took my mom here before the show for her birthday and had an amazing experience. Have been before and will be back!
the food was very good as usual however I made my reservation quite a while ago and still ended up with a table very close to the door and near the main walkway. Also, our waitress was just okay. She seemed more occupied with a larger table she was serving. I guess she was more interested in a larger tip from a larger table. Not really happy with that. Will still go back however, unless of course it happens again.
Very, very noisy restaurant. Food is just fair. Will probably not go back for dinner,
The waitress was fantastic (Amanda). She listened to our requests and delivered as promised. Very low noise level - not sure if I answered the earlier part correctly- however the restaurant was not too crowded.
We took family there that has someone in Roswell. We all had a really great meal and our server was so sweet. We will definitely return. Thank you.
The bar tender was great. So welcoming and enjoyable. Two of us had steak. It was not good. If you go there, choose something else from the menu. Other than that, it was a nice place.
We absolutely loved our first visit to Cabaret! We went with another couple who we always go to dinner with and we all agreed that it was a great choice. Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious!! I have already recommended Cabaret to others.
Waitress was delightful food was wonderful .We go often.
