Byblos Melbourne
The Phoenicians who founded ancient Byblos used innovations in naval technique and navigation to become the first masters of the sea. They used their sea-faring skills to create valuable international trade routes and founded a rich and flourishing empire. The port of Byblos became their cultural and economic capital, and as the city grew it became a melting pot rich in new ideas and advances.
We booked a table on line but when we showed up, they weren’t open. Very unhappy,,
I went for Sunday lunch in Melbourne when the weather was gloomy outside. It was so nice and almost cosy inside! Eammon helped us out right away and he was so friendly! After explaining our options, we elected to try the banquet. Boy - you get a lot of bang for your buck at Byblos! Beautiful food, generous portions and it kept coming. We spent a couple of hours eating, drinking and chatting and felt no pressure to hurry up. We will definitely return to Byblos.
Food was great, so was the service. We often go there, everything was great. Calamari fantastic, chicken wings were delightful, specially if you love Chilli.
Service very slow cosidering Sunday afternoon & not very busy. Nearly every table around us was left with dishes & food & not cleared. Not a good look.
Wont be back.
It’s ok. Nothing amazing and service isn’t great despite the restaurant being quiet when we went but good for a bite to eat if you’re fancying dips and a few snacks.
Everything was great except that the service was slow and the waiter was very rude and not professional
Sujuk was amazing, will be back for more
