Went on a Thursday night in January and had a good meal. Cocktails are tasty and the beer list (draft and bottles) are mostly MD beers. I had the roasted beet and baby spinach salad which was big and very tasty. Also had the special which was a venison and short rib bolognese on pappardelle. It wa prepared well with (maybe) too much sauce for the noodles(?). The cinnamon bun bread was also delicious and filling. Caden was our server and he did a decent job.
A minor challenge there was a decent crowd of customers this night and there weren't enough staff to cover the rush. And there were a number of times where other staff could've assisted with table service if that was how the restaurant is setup to run. The manager (owner?) appeared to be periodically assisting with food delivery and shouldve made his way around to the rest of the table to see how things were going. The bottom line is we didn't mind having a two-hour meal.
The food was truly wonderful. We went during restaurant week and had their prix fixe menu with the addition of a cocktail and an appetizer. The derby day cocktail was light and refreshing. The smoked salmon deviled eggs were smooth with wonderful smoky flavor. The shrimp and crab ball pasta was beautifully presented and very flavorful. The apple tiramisu was light and very sweet. The crab dip was dense and crabby with really good bread.
Great food. Met a friend for dinner during restaurant week. Food was amazing from the special menu. Will definitely be back soon.
We tried both menu selections from the Restaurant Week menu. They were delicious! We had 4 pm reservations and had the whole restaurant to ourselves, so no worries about being exposed to Covid. Missy was our waitress and was very personable and took care of all of our requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and definitely plan on coming back again.
We decided to have dinner at Bushel and Peck because we saw their enticing Restaurant Week menu! We were not disappointed. For the first course we all enjoyed the cream of crab soup. It was very tasty! For the second course, my husband ordered the crab/shrimp cakes and I ordered the filets. All were delicious!! The service was attentive. We will, of course, be back!
Had one of the Restaurant Week options for dinner and it was exceptional.
We went for Restaurant Week dinner. We were promptly seated and well attended to. The quality of the meal was excellent and the portions perfect such that we had a bit left over to bring home.
Great food, great service. We love coming to Bushel and a Peck.
Food was amazing, we wanted to try everything because it all looked really good. Our server was prompt and food came quick and hot. We are definitely going back soon!
We celebrated my husbands birthday there and everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. The service was stellar. We will be back!
Really enjoy anything by the Wecker brothers and this collaboration with a lifelong friend of theirs is just brilliant. Wonderful theme, great food, and always great service. I can't get there enough.
First visit was a good experience. Will be back again.
We had a fantastic night out. The food was amazing and the service was great. We really enjoyed our interactions with the bartender at the bar before dinner. The campfire old-fashioned was fantastic. We ordered the risotto and the crabcake for our dinners and they were also fantastic… Thanks for a great night!
EXCELLENT SERIVCE AND THE FOOD IS FANATASTIC , ALWAYS FRIENDLY
Great Christmas Eve Dinner! Service and food were wonderful.
Great atmosphere, food, and service. We especially enjoyed the unique cocktails. We’ll definitely be back!
The food was delicious! They were definitely understaffed though, as we didn’t get our first cocktails until after we finished the appetizers. Is a great spot for large group dining
Outstanding meal! The shrimp and grits app was heaven. Everyone in the party enjoyed their dinners, especially the pasta special and the braised short rib dish. There was something for everyone on the menu, including a picky vegetarian and a pre-teen. The cinnamon roll bread pudding was spectacular!
Enjoyed celebrating my birthday w friends at Bushel and a Peck. Chose the restaurant based on availability and reviews. This was our first visit and everything was great! Our table was ready when we arrived for our reservation so we didn’t have to wait at all. Tables are set with a good distance between so it was comfortable eating indoors. The outdoor space looks nice - will look forward to enjoying that when the weather warms up again! Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The drinks and food were all delicious - everyone enjoyed their meals! Especially liked the Wings w Korean BBQ and the “Spaghetti and Meatballs ” which were really crab/shrimp balls - so fresh and delicious. The cinnamon roll bread pudding was exceptional! Will definitely recommend to friends and visit again soon.
We frequently dine here, food is always delicious, service consistently friendly and efficient. A true neighborhood gem.
Service started a little slow do a miscommunication where we were seated in a mostly empty area. Manager made up for it with a cream brûlée dessert. Good and drinks were amazing! And once our server started waiting on us she was attentive and super friendly. Definitely will return!
Nice meeting in a beautiful setting. Service was friendly and efficient.
Our overall experience was uneven. We had a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday night and were seated shortly after our 7:25 arrival. Our server was friendly and helpful, but was responsible for many tables so she didn’t come back to see if we needed drink refills, etc. We waited approximately 20 minutes for our appetizers and at least 30 minutes after that for our entrees. The food was hot when it arrived. The French onion soup was excellent. The cheese was soft and melted—no hard congealed lumps sitting atop the broth. We both ordered shrimp po’ boys. The shrimp was very good, perfectly cooked. However, the roll was so small the shrimp, lettuce, tomato and pickles covered the roll completely. You could not fold it up in order to eat it without the entire sandwich falling apart. We ended up eating it with a fork and knife. The fries were a huge disappointment—limp, soggy and greasy. I’m on the fence about recommending this restaurant. I understand they are probably understaffed and will probably give them another chance. However, I wouldn’t order the fries or po’ boy the next time.
The service was very slow last night, I know that everyone is short-staffed but it was not very busy. There were 4 of us with simple orders and it just should not have taken as long as it did. Also, the menu is static. If you want people in the area to return frequently you need more variety. I hope to see things improve because it's a great location and the food is good.
Food was good. Drinks were small with a lot of ice ☹️. Server Steve was good at the beginning but took 20 minutes to order dessert and 15 more to get it- kind of a damper to the end of the meal, very personable though.
Beautiful restaurant and some really delicious entrees at fair prices. The crabcake is really outstanding. I took away one star for food and service because there is some small room for improvement there. For example, the butternut squash pieces that came with the crabcake were scant and undercooked. And the service, while very good, was a little slow in terms of getting and replenishing drinks. However, we understand that many restaurants are short-handed during Covid, and Bushel and a Peck did a very good job under those trying circumstances. We will definitely be back and we will recommend the restaurant to our friends!
Beautiful place with outstanding service! I’ll be back! A+
Very nice atmosphere, and food was very good (with healthy portions!) Also, a strong selection of craft beers.
The food was great! Missy was our server, she was excellent and attentive. The location is beautiful and very well kept. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back. There are several items/drinks we need to try/taste!
Food was decent I was surprised that for a few apps and 2 meals it was $180 with no drinking
Service was very very slow and they forgot to pack my dessert
First time here. Rustic style very nice, service very good considering how busy they were. All enjoyed our meals. Chicken & waffles great the waffle is stuffing made into a waffle YUM! Definitely recommend you won't regret!
The shrimp and grits appetizer was fabulous! Layers of flavor! Never tasted better. I enjoyed my salmon salad. My husband practically licked the plate with the short ribs and mashed potatoes.
Wonderful food and wonderful service. I so appreciated that Paul, the manager stop by to ask how everything was.
Seated immediately. Beef short rib was excellent. Would go back.
It was our first time going. Everything was great, we will definitely go back.
It gets expensive fast. Our bill with tip was $100
Excellent Cobb salad and poutine fries. Great service
Steve was our waiter and was extremely knowledgeable, kind and personable. He made it an amazing dining experience!
Excellent salads. The Faroe Island salmon salad is incredible! Three of us loved the short rib dinner.
This has become a regular dining spot for us.
I always love the atmosphere at Bushel and a Peck. There is a nice drink selection and the sandwich rolls are light and airy - not to mention the fries!!
