Bugsy and Meyer’s Steakhouse - Flamingo Las Vegas
Had a beautiful anniversary meal. The noise from the casino was a bit bothersome so next time I’ll request a seat in the back. The prime rib and filet were both cooked to perfection and the asparagus and potato side dish were excellent!
We had reservations for 5p when they opened at 5p. Social distancing & masks were enforced. We felt very comfortable in the restaurant with very few customers at opening. The steaks were superb and the servers were very attentive. Nice soft music playing just added to the ambience. The meal was on the pricey side but well worth it. I would highly recommend.
Great service. Nice dining experience. Unbelievable dessert.
The food was excellent, the drinks very good. The chocolate cake dessert was excellent as well. The price was, well, it is the Las Vegas strip.
Steaks were dry, burned and no taste. Have to ask for some peppercorn to eat it. Absolutely unacceptable quality. Let the waiter friendly know but they don’t care much. Service was ok besides from kind of little arrogant. It’s Flamingos not Wynn or Palazzo, but what u do. Once in a lifetime - means never again. We are locals in Vegas, so one steak per week at least. If u are a tourist don’t waste time & money here.
The food was no where near the prices charged. The presentation was good, but the food lacks taste. The overall experience was strange. If you are seating in the outside portion of the restaurant, you are near the walkway of everyone passing through the casino. We had another reservation booked for February in anticipation of liking the restaurant, but we canceled it.
Over the top excellence in service. I'm very impressed and will highly recommend to others. Great spot for a Romantic dinner for 2 with the feel of being transported back in time.
Our server Violeeta ( I believe that’s how it’s spelled) was absolutely wonderful!!! We had wonderful seating on the curvy couch. The food was absolutely spectacular!!! From the crab cake to the huge rib eye ( cooked to perfection) and vegetables!!As well as the bottle of Cab ( I forget which one) we had!!! I absolutely love this place! We will definitely be back on our next trip as well as future trips!!!! Definitely recommend!!!!
Recent reno (summer'20). Solid food offerings, amazing service. I went back the next night to chat up the bartenders (Bugsy & Meyer's has an amazing spirits and wine list) and they showed me the "secret" speakeasy bar. I will return!
Last night in Vegas and we got to sit in the Speakeasy. Wonderful, beautiful staff.
Great service and wonderful food!! Get the Seafood Tower!!!
Great experience from checking in with the Host staff to the farewell. Service was the most outstanding next to the mashed potatoes. Our infamous Server, Thomas, made us feel like VIP’s, from recommendations to service etiquette. Thanks for a great night! Bugsy would be proud.
Absolutely incredible food, texture and taste. Waiters were above and beyond with knowledge and ability to stay ahead of the game. Delicious.
Great service, amazing amazing food, so good I didn't want to stop.
AMAZING! MUST GO!
We expected more. Food was decent, overpriced, atmosphere was as if it was a coffee shop not an upscale restaurant. To noisy because of the open walkway where undesirables were yelling and being disrespectful.
we were seated in the speakeasy area, and as we are 60+, we liked the music, then ambiance the service and the dinner. Will definitely go back!
Over priced. Poor initial reception to dining experience.
Bugsy & Meyers is always amazing and never disappoints! The service is exceptional and I dream about the steak tartare! I have been so impressed with the quality and innovation of the menu, and the chef makes everything to perfection!
Troubled that when we made reservations they didn’t mention that it was only. Née Years Eve menu for 150 a person. Too late to get reservations someplace else.
Our food and service were very good. However, the restaurant falls short of their desired perception as a classy steak house. They advertise a “business casual” dress code and yet the majority of diners seemed to be dressed in torn jeans and the men in baseball caps. We also had to contend with the table next to us taking calls on speaker phone during dinner, and the table across from them with loud ringtones. We were looking for the “old world” steakhouse experience as the name conveys. We might as well have been at a chain restaurant. Staying true to their dress code would elevate the experience and set them apart.
Yum yum yum. Best seafood this chef ever put in his mouth
Had the shellfish Tower. My god it was huge... big portions. It’s not cheap but not out of this world. Would recommend to anyone ....
Laura was fantastic and the food was amazing!
Food was ok
Way way way too expensive
every single item cost way too much
We were sat out by the entrance doors it was very drafty and people walking by it wasn’t the best romantic Anniversary night.
Food was good, little pricey for being A’carte.
Service was very pleasant just wish the setting was better and I wasn’t freezing.
Just wanted a good steak for our last meal in Vegas.
To start this review I’d like to ensure this review doesn’t confuse anyone.
I made reservations for a set time. We had ran into traffic and I knew I would be late. I called the number provided and explain my situation. They quickly acknowledged and told me to drive safe. After showing up to the establishment I was quickly told that my reservations had been canceled due to me being late. I was marked as a no show through the system. Apparently the reservation center used by this establishment failed to convey the message. I spoke to the front receptionist and she told me there was nothing to do. I asked for the manager and explained your situation. After a few minutes of explaining how the reservation center failed to notify the front desk I shouldn’t be penalized for the lack of information. He acknowledge and promised to make this right. Indeed he did, I was able to get the table for 8 within the hour.
I recommend ordering the tomahawk steak. This steak is a massive 32 oz steak. Yes, 32 ounce dry aged steak make to satisfy 2. Steak has a light sea salt flavor that’s to die for. It was perfect cooked, medium rare and definitely tender enough to cut with a spoon.
I paired this massive meat with Brussels sprout and baked sea salt potato. The sides are more than enough for two so I do recommend sharing. The Brussels sprout was cooked to perfection. It’s coated in a sweet and savory sauce creating a candy like coating. Amazing!!
In closing this reservation system that’s in place should be addressed to ensure this never happens again. Communication between the reservation center and the restaurant should always be paramount. I believe customer service towards the situation could’ve been handled way better to begin with. Thanks to the manager who kept my experience positive, I would recommend this place. There should be a direct number when someone calls looking for direct assistance.
I'm a solo traveler and sat at the bar. Tommy, the bartender, provided excellent service as well as just the right amount of conversation and interaction.
I had the onion soup as a starter and it was excellent. Dinner was the 10 oz filet and a side of asparagus. The filet was perfectly cooked to the requested medium rare and incredibly tender. Definitely an outstanding meal and experience.
We went because it was the new home of Chef Lamar, who won Vegas Prizefight on Food Network. When we got there, the host said he had left, and it sounded like not on good terms.
Overall, the service was excellent but the meal was disappointing. My steak, while cooked and seared well, was very tough to cut. The crab cake was okay, as was the French Onion soup my husband had. That said, this was by far the most expensive meal on our trip, and while we used comps, the meal was also the least good (breakfast included) The atmosphere is confusing, as you enter through a bakery, like it’s an old school speakeasy (cool concept), but the dining area was Flamingo kitcsch times three.
The best steak ever
Steak and potato was okay. However, brussel sprouts and mushrooms were terrible. Waiter took entirely too long, plus he forgot to bring our cocktail and charged us for an additional potato, which we did not order. I won't eat here again.
The food was good, service was a little spotty, we ordered scallops as an addition to our steak, and they didn't come out until 20 minutes after our steak. They removed them from the bill because we weren't hungry anymore. They're very pricey, but everything is in vegas.
Food was great will come again
Cocktails and French opinion soup were good. Burrata salad not very flavorful but beautiful. Main course steak and crab leg was abysmal. Steak underdone and tough, fries were cold and crab leg was so over cooked and rubbery, it was inedible. Flamingo was PACKED, not very covid friendly or safe. Diners were sitting right behind us in both sides without barriers between guests/strangers.
We had an amazing date night here! Great food, cocktails and a cool speakeasy vibe. The wait staff, and a manager that came around to check on us, were all so attentive and made sure we had a great experience.
I highly recommend eating in the Speakeasy because it had more of a steakhouse feel to it vs the main dining room. The staff there were all awesome! And the food? Wow! So delish.
This was a fantastic dinner experience. We sampled a bite from each other plates because everything tasted delicious. The food was great and the service outstanding. Highly recommend.
This 2 star restaurant is trying to compete with a 5 star restaurant. The place is open all the way around, and cold drafty ,and loud, and over all ghetto. The atmosphere was horrible and the food was over priced and mediocre. Will NOT be returning.
The food was average for the price.
All the staff was friendly and helpful all the time, they made me feel great
Best food I have had on the strip
