Was disappointed in the food we ate at the bistro the night before and food was fantastic but the buffet was a big let down the food was not hot and not a lot of variety it was not good value for what you paid you will loose customers to the bistro if you don’t lift your game
its great when its quite.but when busy it can feel very hectic non relaxing and sholder to sholder with people.the que to get food can be long
Arrived 6pm, reception staff were helpful, plenty of window tables to take advantage of view. Food was fresh and delicious
Extremely satisfied with everything. Will certainly dine again when next in Hobart.
We enjoy the Buffet and Coffee Shop every visit. At times it is a bit crowded, but the buffet selection is always good. Some of the desserts are not as good as the hot food, but still very passable. We have recommended it to many of our friends. We like it.
Had a fantastic meal. The service we received from the staff was excellent . Would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially for a group including children who are fussy eaters.
The ice cream machine was broken and many hot food dishes were empty. Used plates and cups were not taken away, so the table was very messy. I wouldn't recommend the buffet to anyone or even myself.
Selection of food was very poor the prawns and mussels were good and desert was good to pick from but meats and vegetables were very poor. Was very disappointed with our visit.
I thought the food was average. The meats were chicken and ham. The chicken was terrible. Other choices weren't that great and the desserts weren't as good as they used to be. It would be great if the food could be kept a little hotter
Very nice meal, only thing wrong was some of the food in bainmarie could have been hotter otherwise very nice
Wasn’t overly impressed with the food , pretty average and didn’t get value for money .
The food was well presented and the variety very good. Service was friendly and efficient. Noise levels were what to expect in a busy restaurant and thank goodness there was no background musak.
But, there was nowhere online to find the cost of dining at the Buffet. However, at $40 each we felt that we got our moneys worth.
Been many times always great food and service and great value for money. Thanks again to all the staff
Evening buffet was great , morning breakfast buffet felt like the food was left out , tasted "old'
we have been eating at this area for many years but the hot food selection has over the past months been getting poorer especially over Christmas period were no turkey was offered hot ham and chicken pieces is no substitute
We made a booking for 5:30pm only to arrive and be told they don’t open until 6:00pm. I suggest that the option to book times earlier than they are actually open be removed.
We haven’t been there for awhile but I must say the selection of choices is a lot smaller than it used to be, especially in the dessert area.
The food doesn’t really cater for children either. My daughter had some ham, sushi and ice cream. I think it’s too expensive for children. My daughter is a small eater and definitely did not eat enough to warrant the price.
Excellent, attentive and friendly service. Good selection of food choices.
Great food, great place for catch up with friends. Always love a visit...
Food was very average for the cost and nearly half of our table were sick that night and the following morning. The staff were very friendly there though and very polite.
Really nice setting and atmosphere but food quality is everything. Most of the meat was over cooked and dry though the seafood was excellent.
Hi, my experience was not so good caused by one staff member. He wad an older man in a suit, rushing around, I think he may have been a manager helping out. He was very rude and everytime we crossed paths he seemed to expect me to step aside, when he should have as a staff member and me a customer, that on my world is considered good manners.
It was good, getting to expensive tho, almost $200 for the family, only a one off or special occasion
We enjoyed the whole experience! Upon entering we were made to feel welcome by the front lady! The buffet variety was really good. Food quality was good. Nice morning ambience in dining area. Our plates were cleared away regularly by the staff.
Wide choice of food, nutritious and naughty, good value for money for eating out
Sometimes this buffet has let me down, but most recently, it was the best one I’ve ever been to! The fried cauliflower in satay sauce was absolutely divine, I went back 3 times for it. Would love to see a choc mousse in the desserts, but the options were decent nonetheless.
Great value for money. Lovely vegetarian options! I’ve already booked to go back again next month.
Great food. Great convenience. Our favourite every year for our anniversary
Was very disappointed when we arrived for our 5:30pm booking and was informed that the buffet does not open until 6:00pm. Our 2 kids were extremely hungry by the time we were seated, and it made us late for our following event. We had booked online, and was sent an email confirming our booking of 5:30pm. I think there were others in the same boat, and by the time 6:00pm came the lineup to get in was quite large. In my opinion the amount of people arriving at the same time created mass congestion around the buffet, making getting food on the plate an un-enjoyable experience. Overall the food was quite good, but the 30 minute delay set the scene for a disappointing evening.
Wonderful venue. Only wish it was open for lunch. Best family location for a meal, celebratory many birthdays there.
Please keep the Coffee Shop running and re-open for lunch too.
Had a great meal service was great
Will be back soon
All good but alcohol quite expensive (Beer $9)..................xxxxxxx
Did not quite experience quality that we were expecting at a restaurant in the 🌟 hotel. Service was very basic, there were few occasions when cutlery, napkins were empty for some times, table wasn't attended n cleaned as it was supposed to be. Bit disappointed but food was nice.
* Pricey with no studying for reward members anymore.
* Food was great. Good range of salads but tough for a vegetarian. Even the soup has bacon bits and not even a veg version of the pizza. Loved the desserts!!!
Food was cold and not as good as it used to be and not as much to choice from.
Lovely service, lovely food & a wonderful warm welcoming place for my assistance dog.
My family enjoyed out meals, I had a problem that all but one desert had nuts on it or in it, so a few of us with nut allergies couldn't eat them, so maybe a selection with more nut free as well, staff were great, friendly and helpful, thank you
It’s a bit much to make people pay $20 per child. My kids literally ate a few bits of sushi and a bowl of ice cream with lollies. When I asked about the kids meal, I was told it had been phased out despite there being signs all over the restaurant that there was a kids deal. Pretty disappointing.
Food was average, and overpriced. No staff around to ask a question. The coffee was good though
Monday evening booking, not the selection of food that I remember from a couple of years ago. Have another booking for the 26/10/2019. We will see if it's better on the weekend. But overall on par with other buffets on offer.
The only negative really was the waiters, as soon as our plates were empty, they took them away, even if our mouths were still full. A bit over the top...
Food was poor, really bad and limited. Would never go again
