Cost us $45 a head and only got hot ham as they where waiting 20 for the lamb
Always good value. Food is delicious and there's plenty on offer.
Range of food was very poor and price for what you got was outrageous. Disgusting!!!
My husband and I came to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing, a great variety and tasted yummy, especially the desserts. The staff were friendly and attentive.
You could tell it was the final night operating as the quality and variety wasn't there. The wait staff weren't as good as usual and seemed mopey. Very disappointed that this classic instution is closing, it has been a staple fir my family and many others over the years, from breakfast right through to dinner. Such a shame.
We are so disappointed that this was to be the last time it will be open,
We always come down here for special occasions with our extended family and friends and always have a fantastic time and when they all leave my wife, daughter and I have a flutter on the pokies.
We have tried the Waterfront restaurant but it’s not the same as the Coffee Shop and have always been disappointed there.
We have talked about options and have come to the conclusion that we might eat out in the Casinos local area and then come there after for a flutter or even go to your revolving restaurant if it’s open when we decide on our next dinner outing.
Thanks for all the years of great service and lovely food choices.

It was awesome, could if had more variety, though was very nice
The best part of our meal was that the Chef made a special dessert for my granddaughter as she has allergies. Thought the food was pretty average, not like the photos, missed the green beans no hot greens at all!
Food was great, staff attentive and helpful. Great to see hygiene and covid accounted for.
Loved enjoying a buffet again, next time in Tasmania will definitely come back.
Relaxing area to sit and dine. Will be returning to dine again. All hot and cold dishes were cooked well and presented well. Service was great very friendly staff. Everything was excellent.
Was amazing and the survers were fantastic and friendly.
The reason for us dining on the 26th Dec was my daughters 21st birthday, she is also gluten free. She was treated by the chefs with the upmost care and consideration and was offered many gluten free options which we were extremely impressed about. We would like to express a huge thank you to the chefs working that night.
Overpriced.
i wasn't advised the juice isn't included in the fixed price.
Meat dishes are normally in a good variety... All the favourites weren’t there ... The classic roast of Lamb, beef, chicken is always a hit.. fresh seafood and seafood dishes for the win. The intrusion of COVID was not for a relaxing time .. Eating/holding food in hands (bread)covered in hand sanitizer is disgusting ... My family love the buffet...Not so much this time.
There wasn’t much selection for $45 and the quality wasn’t great at all with the food. There needs to be more selection of hot food, all there was were pasta, 2 meats, fish and pork belly slices, then you had the cold section with salads etc.. pretty underwhelming to be honest. But service was good.
Definatelly not worth for $45 per person. Hot food was very dry and manu was diffetent from the menu advertised.
All in all pretty good, it’s great value for money, but difficult to get a table before 8:00pm on a Weekend night unless you book well in advance.
Average. Would rush to go again. Especially for the cost.
I was very disappointed with the limited food options available. Majority of the food included veggies & seafood options, with only two salads being available. I don’t believe there were many options for kids. I thought the price was also ridiculous, for the limited options. Will not be going back.
Could have been told prices had gone up before we sat down to eat, but other than that it was good
Was disappointed in the food we ate at the bistro the night before and food was fantastic but the buffet was a big let down the food was not hot and not a lot of variety it was not good value for what you paid you will loose customers to the bistro if you don’t lift your game
its great when its quite.but when busy it can feel very hectic non relaxing and sholder to sholder with people.the que to get food can be long
Arrived 6pm, reception staff were helpful, plenty of window tables to take advantage of view. Food was fresh and delicious
Extremely satisfied with everything. Will certainly dine again when next in Hobart.
We enjoy the Buffet and Coffee Shop every visit. At times it is a bit crowded, but the buffet selection is always good. Some of the desserts are not as good as the hot food, but still very passable. We have recommended it to many of our friends. We like it.
Had a fantastic meal. The service we received from the staff was excellent . Would recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially for a group including children who are fussy eaters.
The ice cream machine was broken and many hot food dishes were empty. Used plates and cups were not taken away, so the table was very messy. I wouldn't recommend the buffet to anyone or even myself.
Selection of food was very poor the prawns and mussels were good and desert was good to pick from but meats and vegetables were very poor. Was very disappointed with our visit.
I thought the food was average. The meats were chicken and ham. The chicken was terrible. Other choices weren't that great and the desserts weren't as good as they used to be. It would be great if the food could be kept a little hotter
Very nice meal, only thing wrong was some of the food in bainmarie could have been hotter otherwise very nice
Wasn’t overly impressed with the food , pretty average and didn’t get value for money .
The food was well presented and the variety very good. Service was friendly and efficient. Noise levels were what to expect in a busy restaurant and thank goodness there was no background musak.
But, there was nowhere online to find the cost of dining at the Buffet. However, at $40 each we felt that we got our moneys worth.
Been many times always great food and service and great value for money. Thanks again to all the staff
Evening buffet was great , morning breakfast buffet felt like the food was left out , tasted "old'
we have been eating at this area for many years but the hot food selection has over the past months been getting poorer especially over Christmas period were no turkey was offered hot ham and chicken pieces is no substitute
We made a booking for 5:30pm only to arrive and be told they don’t open until 6:00pm. I suggest that the option to book times earlier than they are actually open be removed.
We haven’t been there for awhile but I must say the selection of choices is a lot smaller than it used to be, especially in the dessert area.
The food doesn’t really cater for children either. My daughter had some ham, sushi and ice cream. I think it’s too expensive for children. My daughter is a small eater and definitely did not eat enough to warrant the price.
Excellent, attentive and friendly service. Good selection of food choices.
Great food, great place for catch up with friends. Always love a visit...
Food was very average for the cost and nearly half of our table were sick that night and the following morning. The staff were very friendly there though and very polite.
