My party of four were seated in an excellent spot that was close to others but still far away for privacy.
There was a wide variety of foods available - perfect for the picky eater in my party.
A bit disappointed that we were not told when we were checking in at 8pm that food stopped at 9pm.
First time visit. Desserts were a hit. Some vegetables were a bit hard for my liking.
Great service, great food, excellent value. A great place to dine prior to a show - or anytime really!
I have dined at this restaurant many times due to value for money, beautiful food and fantastic customer service. The restaurant was very busy but the food as always was delicious with a well stocked buffet and a wide selection of options.
Not much for allergic people. Veggies quite hard, not much variety, only lamb and beef.
Almost all options were gluten free.
The over all experience was great
The food was great & was a great experience. The staff was quite rude & made us feel a bit dumb. Love to feel welcomed and comfortable in a restaurant and sadly didn’t feel this.
Buffet is great my friends and I love to go there a lot. The last time I went wasn’t particularly great. The guy at the front counter was nice but told us he didn’t have any tables and that one wouldn’t be available for at least 2 hours. I then went online and booked a table for straight away to which he said that I shouldn’t of been able to do that as they were full and that I wouldn’t be able to keep my now booked table. We then had to wait for over an hour for him to find us a table even though we now had a booking. He was nice enough but we weren’t compensated for having to wait for so long after booking a table through the appropriate channels and unlike my other usually very enjoyable experiences at the buffet.
I was at wrestpoint buffet lunch with my wife and we had a nice time together. The food was great & the view perfect. The ambience was serene while the staff were all friendly, respectful & responsive. We'll definitely go to wrestpoint buffet again.
As a long time supporter of the Buffet, the food presentation and variety remains outstanding value.
From the ease of making a reservation on line to the greeting from the staff on arrival, a pleasant experience.
I continually recomend to family and friends to experience the Buffet & Coffee Shop for casual dining or special occasions.
Meat was over cooked poor choice of food for the cost deserts looked less an than good
Not bad very accommodating maybe some more food options or variety would be nice as it’s usually always the same things on offer when I visit
overall was good value for money as usual although the roast meats were a bit disappointing and some pieces were chewy and other pieces were a bit washed out,but overall no other complaints.
Excellent value for money. Great selection of a variety of tasty foods. The staff were friendly and happy to assist. Would definitely return to this restaurant.
We always dine at the Coffee Shop for buffet but the quality has went down hill. Except for the Roast Pork and the other menu options for mains is just terrible, the Sweet and Sour Pork is nothing but an insult to Asian cuisine. Dessert is always good as usual but I highly recommend to up the standard of the main dishes.
We always enjoy the buffet at the Coffee Shop. It is good value for money, and a nice evening out. The food is always good, tasty, well-presented and plentiful, & the staff are welcoming, helpful & efficient.
We got there for the second sitting Friday night which starts at 8
There was hardly any food left. The roast meat was dry.
Great food selection and quality. The service was friendly and I really enjoyed my lunch. I will be returning again.
Ideal place to dine before a show. Good choice of mains and desserts. Friendly welcoming staff.
I like to attend this restaurant for celebratory occasions. On the 7/3, was an anniversary lunch with my wife. Normally, the food is of a good to high standard and we have a good time. However this time the food was poorly presented and to be quite honest looked like warmed up from the day before. The squid bites ? where temped and the ONLY fish dish present, the peppered beef looked average and tasted the same, the roasted veg did not fair much better and the salad bar looked very unappetising. I hope the next time I visit the menu is up to your usual standard along with the quality. Why I go to the Buffet& Coffee Shop as it is above a "pub" meal but less formal than a full restaurant'
The fruit & veg I noted were all really good to eat.Meat is always tender , though I don't eat red meat my husband enjoyed his. On the 2 occasions I had the crumbed fish , I wasn't impressed with that. Don't think that was prepared in house. Frozen. I would never buy or eat. When the turkey was on the carvery , it also tasted dry & possibly of frozen origin. The casserole dishes are always nice & I love the different salads. The salad bar would be the main reason we eat at the Buffet. To top it all off u have local ciders. Well done for that.
Was a bit disappointing with the whole experience the food was nice and plenty to choose from, when we asked the person carving the meat if there was any crackle he was very abrupt and rude didn't appreciate being spoken to in that manner thought it was quite a reasonable question. The staff that checked us in and took us to our table were nice although we were left to wonder about our drinks Didn't realize we had to go up to get them ourselves which wasn't a problem but we didn't know that is what we had to do.
Excellent as always:-) The food is always delicious. We had a good table near the window. The staff are exceptional. If I have to search for an issue it would be that I had to pay adult price for two teenage girls aged 13 and 14, who are not big eaters. Overall very enjoyable
We paid $34.50 for an adult ticket for their buffet. The food was terrible. Especially the salad section. The roast meats were quite nice but the roast vegetables had been warming in a tray for too long. Couldn't eat them. The only good thing about the buffet was the desert bar which you could tell the were ordered from a catering business. I would rather have dined in at the Riverview Snacks Café'. If you like really average food, dine here, otherwise dine somewhere else.
There didnt seem to be as many meat choices as previously and the salads were not to my tsste. However, we really came for the desert bar and it did not disapoint. Perfect mini sized cakes and deserts, plus ice cream and chocolate fountain, delicious
If you want an easy meal prior to a show at Wrest Point then this is a reasonable option.
Seating was prompt staff were very accommodating and the food was plentiful and great quality
We had a table overlooking the water and thought it was lovely. The food was really nice. The staff cleaned up the table really efficiently. A wonderful experience overall.
We used to be regulars but the last few months the food has been poor and seems there is getting less food put out we have noticed that the food choices have dropped the best thing is the ceaser salad a few people we know have said the same thing your going to loose customers bring back the old foods like the battered fish spring rolls definitely keep the ceaser some creamy pastas the jelly how about even hot chips nuggets for kids otherwise I used to really enjoy coming
As it was Valentine’s Day, it would have been a bit nicer to have the tables a more apart, as myself and my partner pretty much had dinner with the couples next to us.
The food was great though. Would recommend.
A quiet and cosy place to have meal and catch up with friends. No pressure from staff.
We received no service after we were shown to our table. We didn’t get asked if we wanted a drink etc There was a bus tour group dining at the same time and they were rude, pushing in all the time and extremely noisy and disturbing. I have dined here many times but this time was not enjoyable at all.
The amount of choices v the price paid didn't really offer value. Wouldn't go back in a hurry. The food that was presented was well cooked though.
Yes, I would recommend to a friend but we were disappointed with the bacon & sausages, they were not cooked enough for us. Understand that not everyone likes this food well done but maybe some of the bacon can be done crispy for those that like it (sure most people do).
I came down from Sydney and rhought we would checkout the casino. It is the worst buffet i have ever had.
The desserts were good but quality if food and variety very poor
Just loooove going in for buffet brekky and my vegetarian daughter also loves the selection that she can eat.
Booked table in a pleasing position ready when group arrived. Good variety of breakfast food. Table clearing was variable, as was noise level. Overall a happy enjoyable occasion.
Great value for money tasty buffet. Yummy deserts with ice cream lollies and chocolate fountain
Too many flies in the restaurant. Not much seafood choices.
would go backbit only for a quick bite. Good choice of food but would like a curry option as well.
