Excellent food and service. We went on the 4th July so the place was packed out, however we were still really well looked after. We were then able to spill out to watch the fireworks. Great place for families.
I had been sent a birthday coupon unsolicited by the restaurant, so I was able to enjoy a family-style dining experience for 4 using the small orders of a salad, two entrees, and a shared dessert. That fed us all amply without having to worry about a leftover box. The dining room immediately left of the host station at the front offers a limited view of the lake, which made for a nice ambiance and being open to the outside tampered the noise level. Parking can be a challenge.
We are happy to hear how much you enjoyed your meal with us! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.
Tasj our server was wonderful. She was attentive and very polite. Busy but attended to all her tables. Food was good. Wish they would give more sauce with spaghetti & meatballs.
The food was meh. It wasn’t hot when served and the taste had a lot to be desired
Excellent food and service—it really is s fun place to eat!
Very strange menu. You have to order in multiples of 3 or 5. This is probably okay as they provide takeout boxes but what is not okay is their also “strange,” for lack of a better word, service. While we were still eating, we were asked if we wanted a takeout box, dessert, AND the check. It felt like a fast food restaurant. Again, they asked us this while we were still eating and clearly had plenty of food on our plates. And no, this was probably only ten minutes after they brought us our food and no, the restaurant was not awfully busy—several tables around us were empty. Oh and did I mention they brought us the wrong food? Won’t recommend and won’t be back.
Easter dinner with family
We had a nice experience. Food was delicious. Great ambiance. Very attentive waitperson. No issues with using pre-paid gift cards as well. Great place for a friends get together, but food is served family-style, so there is a lot. We had a group of 4 and split our offerings between a serving for 3 or 5, and still had leftovers.
The service was great, the food was good, the restaurant its self is a little run down and dusty but overall it was a good experience.
Always a good spot for groups or a family outing. The family style meal is super. They where really busy and the servers did a good job of trying to keep up. Lots of food- be ready to take some home.
Made reservations for 8:30 for a group of 13. We get there and we are told we have to wait 30-40 mins. Imagine trying to find a place on the fly
Great place to get together with friends and catch up. Family size servings are plentiful and tasty.
Standard fare Italian in huge amounts
Great service from the moment we entered till we left. What a great team!
The quality, especially in food and free bread, is drastically declining for the worse. Maggianos is a better value plus quality. I am overly disappointed.
Went there on New Year's Eve for dinner with a party of 8. After checking in, they sat us pretty quickly (within 10 min). Service was terriffic and more then enough food with leftovers.
This was a very comfortable and fun restaurant. We sure got our money’s worth, as well. The food was tasty, plentifully, and filling!
Thank you for the wonderful time and food!
A great new years eve experience for food and location
Food was so-so and cold, Birthday celebration that they forgot to acknowledge, newer location lost its ambiance. We’ve been going here for our daughter’s birthday for 15 years, won’t be back.
A great ambiance and efficient and friendly service. Food was good but nothing special for the price we paid. We enjoyed but probably will not return.
Excellent Christmas Eve dinner as usual! (Missed having the Garlic Mashed Potato’s on the menu)
I called to try to add 4 extra people to my reservation and they told me they couldn’t because they were sold out. We had to Un-invite people and then there were 4 empty 4 person tables next to to us the entire time we were there. That was frustrating!
We are extremely sorry to hear that we let you down – especially on such a special day. We appreciate that you have taken the time to write to us and will share this experience with our management team.
Food, Service, Atmosphere is why we return to this place!!! Kid friendly and family oriented environment and dining. Food is down right delicious! This evening had some service hiccups but are not consistent with our previous visits and will return and recommend based on that.
Requested they write my parents names on birthday board, but that was forgotten. Our waiter was amazing! He made the entire birthday experience with his energy and funny jokes really a fun experience, he completely blended well with our group. Food & drinks were brought out at the right time, I was a bit surprised at the amount of pieces (not a lot) for the large mozzarella bread starter for the price, the large pasta bowls are HUGE. They say small bowls feed 2-3 but we say 4-5 ppl at least. We had way too much left over. The Fettuccini Alfredo was really good. The meatballs are H U G E. Parking is scares so plan to drop off at the door and loop around the block a few times or pay to park. It is a 2 story building with an elevator for those with difficulty walking up stairs, the walls are filled with cool pictures. There were a lot of Homecoming kids and celebrations. All in All, I recommend for large celebration and gatherings.
Food was great, huge portions, fun family atmosphere, didn’t have to shush my teenage boys. Service was incredibly slow. I appreciate a leisurely meal and not being rushed but this service was not good. One refill on soda and couldn’t ask for anything we needed because the server didn’t return often. Managed to ask for something we needed and never got it.
How can an Italian restaurant run out of olive oil? When we asked for bread and olive oil, we were told that the restaurant was "out of olive oil". Thinking there must have been a misunderstanding, we asked another server if it was true that the restaurant was out of olive oil, and she confirmed it. So we had our bread with balsamic vinegar only. Since they continued to serve the full menu (including our dinner), presumably Buca di Beppo only reheats previously-cooked food. Maybe that's why this Buca no longer walks customers through the kitchen?
We were so excited to go back to Buca. The food has always been great and the staff, so fun! This time we waited for 20 minutes for a table that we had reserved and the restaurant was basically empty. (5:45 on a weekday) The hostess could have cared less that we were there and though the waiter was very nice he struggled with 2 tables. Maybe he was new? No worries. The most concerning part was the food. Not good and way over priced. I am not sure if any prices were raised (doubt it) but the point is that you don’t notice the price when the food is good. When the food is bad you cringe at $29 noodles. Our total for 5 people was over $240 with no drinks and no dessert. WTH? We chose not to take anything home. Even though we have enjoyed Buca in the past this night was a deal breaker. If we are going to drive into Seattle for dinner it needs to be worth it. Lastly this was a birthday celebration that the waiter forgot to acknowledge. Bummer.
Fabulous, as usual! A bit pricey so not a spot we go to regularly but fun with groups!
Great food and reasonable price... for Seattle area anyway....
Extremely overpriced for what you get! Food was good but seriously...$45 for a giant bowl of spaghetti.
We ordered kids pizza and they didn't arrive for over 1.5 hours after we paid our bill and were walking out.
so embarrassed that I invited friends here. hostess greeted us with big frown and big attitude. place was half empty and they couldn't accommodate our group of 7 until our reservation time at 7:30 pm (about 20 minutes). Service super slow, at the bar and employees yelling at one another, glasses and dishes broken and blaming others. Had to leave dining table to go get another drink as server didn't come back for so long. Altogether pathetic experience, will never return and never have another group event there.
Overpriced for what you get. The family style portions, where the bread and salad really inflate the bill, are actually less food than a typical serving at say an Olive Garden, which is a better value and similar quality. The staff is extra helpful, attentive, and courteous.
We’ve eaten at several restaurants in California and most recently Washington. It’s okay and not truly authentic. If you want volume with moderate taste, then this is the restaurant for you. For a large group, this restaurant could be your favorite.
What's the hurry? From the moment we were seated we felt rushed. Ordered the Caprese salad was good but had to ask for olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The lasagna was ok, but would have tasted better if it was made with Italian sausage instead of tasteless ground beef. Mozzarella bread was good, but several pieces were burned on the bottom. Chocolate cake was dry but the frosting was decadent. And $6 for a small cup of coffee? Hey! This isn't Starbuck's!
We had not been since the remodel and had enjoyed our experiences in the past... took 10-15 mins once seated to be greeted and bring water. Food was medicore and over priced for what it was. Ordered a drink which ended up costing $15 and tasted like kool-aid (couldn’t taste any alcohol). Tables were beyond close together, could hear everything easily from tables at both sides and couldn’t get up and out without hitting another table. Overall will not be returning.
The service was okay, it could have been better, we were celebrating an early Father’s Day. But overall it was an good experience. The bathroom traffic could have been monitored better too crowded to get to the bathroom.
I was disappointed to learn that buca is not friendly for people with allergies. I can not have dairy and I informed the waiter. He assured me my meal did not. Mid way through dinner I became ill. We had to leave our dinner party abruptly, it was a carb load party before the Seattle half marathon. I immediately called the manager to see if anything had dairy. She was nice and confirmed that it had not. I asked her if the dish/pasta had whey or casein (milk proteins) she said it probably did. I tried to explain that they were part of a dairy allergy, I don’t think she fully understood because she repeated our dish was dairy free. I really hope that they start to offer a allergy free menu.
