Well, it was one of the final days before all the restaurants are closing due to Covid-19, so the bar and dining room were mostly empty, and somewhat subdued. Our mighty band of three decided to go out and see what everyone was raving about. We weren't disappointed! I am American, but I went with two Belgians (my fiancé and his friend) who have been in the states for about 20 years, but visit Belgium frequently. We ordered the croquettes, the pate and the mussels to start -- all were outstanding. The waiter told us everything was made-to-order and the quality and freshness were evident in every bite. For our mains, we ordered the Beef Bourginon and the Steak Frites -- and the waiter encouraged us to try the cauliflower so we added that in. All were exceptional. What truly stood out to us were the Bearnaise sauce and the authentic, homemade mayonnaise. Both fantastic. The chef came out to say hello and we complimented him liberally.

We tried the espresso creme brulee for dessert - and were frankly disappointed. First it came out with a soft top -- not crisp and glass-like. Then when it came back out. the custard was slightly runny and not firm. We sent it back.

The only reason why we didn't give this experience 5 stars was that the service was slightly off. I think everyone is on edge with this global pandemic... but the waiter could have been a little more attentive (for example, we had to ask for drinks instead of him noticing our empty glasses!) But overall it was a wonderful experience. We'll be back!

We went for brunch last Sunday with a mixed crowd (24-60 yr olds) and we all had a great time! Our server was very helpful, and we loved the gin bowls!! The Irish cream coffee was outstanding. And the food! We started with the breadbasket which should not be missed. We ate every last buttery crumb of the mixed fresh pastries and preserves. I inhaled my crepe which was stuffed with the best mushrooms I have ever had in addition to the ham, cheese and spinach. Other favorites were the croissant and the burger. Simple things that would be very simple elsewhere but here, Chef Olah makes the mundane into works of culinary art. We cannot wait to go back for dinner. Dine here as soon as you can!

We went here for brunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. All of our breakfasts were fabulous and the omelets were amazing. Everything we ate was also great! We will be back!

Second time here and just as good as the first time! Gin bowls and mocktails are great. We had the chicken and the beef bourguignon, both delicious. The staff are all terrific too.

Great location directly across from movie theater. Loud enough to feel energy, quiet enough so you can actually have a conversation. Food (beef special, lobster mac&cheese, creme brulee) all well-prepared and tasty. Service at all levels was attentive without being smothering. Bar is separate and more-or-less sound proofed from eating area. Picked this place at random because it was new and in SONO, and was not disappointed.

Bruxelles is new and my husband and we loved it! It’s a really nice, trendy spot with excellent food and drinks. Our waitress was really fun without being over the top or fake. Highly recommend!

My problem here started when we were the first people in the whole dining room and she wouldn't let us choose our seat. She told me they were reserved but we had reservations also; so that didn't feel good. Then after we ordered, tables around us got bread but we didn't.. it was our waitress and not the hostess so I hope she didn't say treat them badly.
We ordered some good food. I enjoyed my shrimp and my croquettes and my martini was delicious. My husbands mac and cheese with lobster was also very good.
Our sacher torte was fabulous and the whipped cream was amazingly good. Tasted very european and not like other American creams that are so tasteless.
We also had an excellent cup of coffee that we had to ask to be refilled.
Our waitress was very nice but not as professional as I would have liked but the part about the sitting doesn't feel right.
The manager stopped at the table but I really was not in the mood to tell her about the actions of the hostess or our waitress forgetting to bring the bread. I will give them another chance; we need a good french restaurant in the area.

We had an assortment of starters and shared which were delicious. I wish there were a few healthier choices for entrees. We sat at the bar and had a great time, the bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable with the food and wine offerings. Good vibe on a Saturday night-highly recommend.

Norwalk is lucky Chef Roland decoded to open his restaurant here. We’ve enjoyed dinner here maybe 5 times. Never disappoints. The cassoulet, the rack of lamp, the branzini, its all good!

Went here early on a Saturday night. It was fairly crowded but we could easily hear one another speak.
Our waitress was friendly, and the manager came by (unsolicited) to check with us that everything was going well. We did feel very rushed by the person clearing the table, who nearly took food I was actively eating, but we just stayed until we were ready to leave.
The food was very good; I had two vegetarian dishes and both were really excellent.
I did think it was a little expensive, but I will return nonetheless for the food.

Lunch on a weekend found many tables occupied. Place is,small for dining with a long bar. Food was too salty and not sure if chicken was,thoroughly cooked.

Food was good but a little salty. Service was good overall but a little inconsistent at times. First the server kept asking for our order and then they would go MIA for a longer period of time than felt right. A drink that was ordered never arrived. Just working out the kinks, I guess and I would certainly try it again.

Very good salads and apps. Chicken entree was very good. Steak frites a bit disappointing- frites very ordinary. Belgian waffle dessert - without the Nutella - was very good with cherries but too much whipped cream. (A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have made it much better!). Looking forward to a return visit.

Had a lovely lunch on a rainy day with my girlfriends. The chef came out to say hello and ask how we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant has been open for about 6 weeks he said. My Burger was great and my friend enjoyed her mussels.

Wonderful European dishes with some unique flavor twists. Plenty of food for the price.The cauliflower appetizer is a must try, truly outstanding. Chef Roland has developed a delightful menu and ambiance.

Came here for the first time with my family. Great dining experience. Everyone was super friendly. Our server Chris gave us excellent service and recommendations. The chef came out a few times to check on us and he was incredibly friendly to us. I definitely recommend this place

We were disappointed given the overall reviews for this restaurant. One complaint 3 out of four of us had is that the food is salty. The steak frites was not salty and was not
disappointing. The food was inconsistent in quality.

We were there on a Sunday night so it was not very busy this, not very noisy. Don’t know if talking is an option when the place is filled. The server was busy but was also attentive.

I invited 5 foodie friends for Saturday lunch and we were all thrilled with our meals ! And the service was very lovely , atmosphere too! I plan on entertaining there regularly, as I love to cook and host at my home but sometimes I don’t have the time. We can’t wait to return !

The food was great but the ventilation system must not have been working properly. The dining area was full of smoke which made our eyes burn and we left reeking of smoke and grease. We left quickly to get fresh air. Hopefully that issue gets fixed soon.

We wanted to try this new place in Sono. So happy we did ! The food was delicious . The chef came out and wanted to know how we liked everything. We will definitely be back and try more on the menu. Fantastic and delicious evening .
