What a suprisingly pleasant experience at the Brown Brothers Milawa Vineyard. Foods were great, Staff were just so friendly and wonderful. The restaurant is clean and quiet. Price of foods are maybe a little high but worth it. With brilliant Brown Brothers wines, it can not go wrong!!

From the moment we sat down it was an enjoyable and relaxing experience. The freindly, knowledgeable staff, the generous course portions of amazing food with matching wine...heaven. A very memorable afternoon and I’m looking forward to going again soon.

After not eating at Brown bros for more than ten years we decided to come back again. We were not disappointed. The food was beautiful, the matched wines delightful and the service was friendly and faultless. I highly recommend here and will certainly not wait another 10 years before coming back.

Friendly staff welcomed us as soon as we arrived and everything had been wonderful from start to finish. Food was exceptional with quality produce. Presentation was just like a fine dining restaurant, without the overrated price tag. We truly had an amazing time, as always at the winery.

A very nice lunch matched with wines. Wait staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Epicurily a worthy rival to top Melbourne restaurants. Definitely a must do when visiting the Milawa region.

The food was delicious and complemented beautifully by the selected wines. It was very busy and unfortunately very loud but it was during the Xmas/New Year break so to be expected. Always a lovely lunch and gorgeous surroundings.

We ordered the 3 course menu 1 with matching wines 1 without. Restaurant fully booked. Food was excellent and arrived well timed to enjoy the wine matched with food. Service a bit cold/unhappy perhaps because it was so busy. Recommend the food and location beautiful.

Great well prepared/presented food and wine matching. Evaporative aircooling did not cope with mid summer heat so best avoided at height of summer, unless you want to sweat through your meal. Nearby nice cellar door for pre or post lunch tasting (but cheaper to buy at Dan Murphy’s).

We had lunch at Brown Brothers on Christmas Eve and enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve ever had. We had three courses with matched wines and had trouble choosing each course as there were so many tempting options. Our table by the window meant we could watch the fairy wrens in the garden, which was lovely. The service was friendly and efficient throughout and we will definitely go back.

It was a lovely spot to dine on a beautiful day. Good choices available on the menu. For my main meal I chose double smoked pork cutlet. The cutlet was tender and really delicious. It was served with creamy parsnip (I think) and a rich sweet apple puree. I wasn't keen on the creamy parsnip as it was too rich when combined with the sweet apple puree. My dining partner chose the venison and that was very well cooked, pink and tender. It was also served with a rich sauce. We ordered a side of potato chips. It was more thickly cut potato wedges. Unfortunately they were not as crunchy as we had expected but we need the potato to balance out our rich mains. The serving of the mains were generous. Service was pleasant and friendly.

Pleasant but only adequate food direction and execution. One wait person was super into owning her job,her colleague on the day
seemed bummed.Anyone can be having a bad day but don’t project it onto diners.
It’s all about the wine,I get it,but the wine deserves a food direction with a much more
dynamic and punchy attitude. It’s passive and tries to please everyone. That’s a recipe for a bland and mediocre food experience.

A vast variety of meals to choose from and the option of having wines with the meal or not if you are the designated driver was good, a lovely to spend the afternoon. Didn't realise until a little later that there was a playground for children to play in.

Food wasn't as innovative as previous meals there were - the menu was very heavy for spring, and with hindsight I should have ordered two entrees as none of the mains appealed. What I did order was over-promised and under-delivered - lamb two ways (bit under done) with peppers (too acidic) and white anchovies (just lying on the lamb?!?).
Unusually for me, the dessert was the standout. Although I would still say there was too much happening on the strawberry and cream plate.
