   Too much going on with each dish - simplify things a bit - less is more. Always too noisy, maybe very tall partitions between tables. Service is fantastic. Taste is fantastic.

   Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly faces and promptly ushered to a quiet table. We enjoyed the 5-Course Degustation menu with perfectly timed space between meals and detailed service. I particularly enjoyed the scallops and Elderflower martini. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a beautifully presented and delicious experience.

   Food was amazing as always but the server seemed distracted and we had to ask for our drinks 3 times, water wasn’t topped up like normal. We definitely would have ordered more drinks if the waiter had been more on to it.

    We had a lovely visit for lunch which I actually preferred to previous dinner visits as it was a bit quieter (the restaurant can get noisy on busy nights). The food was exceptional as usual, and service quick. The sodas were lovely and this breastfeeding mum appreciated having a more adult looking non alcoholic beverage choice. We also had a lovely waiter who was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Highly recommend!

    My husband’s dish was dreadful! He had the duck for his main it was a piece of duck breast as big as his thumb. I feel he received the detestation meal rather than an ordinary main. In any case we were charged the full main price of $44. We don’t plan on making another booking. Just dreadful!

    It all started with the friendly greeting. This restaurant is a must do for everyone. The staff were amazing friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the food and drinks menu's. The staff recommendation was spot on! The quail was delicious as was the pork cheek. The best of all was the Bomb -Alaska. Absolutely 💯 the best ever! Can not recommend this restaurant highly enough. The jewel in the crown for fine dining in Townsville. I will definitely be returning when I visit from Brisbane. Thank you to all at the restaurant for a delightful evening celebrating my best friends birthday.

    My partner and I don’t get out much, but we have been to Bridgewater 3 times now. I love the food, the wine list is great. Beautiful view of the city and not too crammed so conversation can be enjoyed . We will definitely be back as much as we can.

    This might sound overly critical, but I expect you want feedback where I think you can improve, so I hope there's no offence taken. So here goes. Lamb shoulder was very good, but should have been hotter and needs to be served with adequate cutlery to cut and serve the meat and jus. Didn't think the lettuce is an appropriate vegetable to have with it. Lettuce soaked in gravy, doesn't work well for me. I would have preferred to have snow peas or beans. I was surprised that when I asked for bread there was none! The bottle of wine was kept away from the table, which is fine if the staff are attentive, but I had to ask for the glasses to be filled on a couple of occasions. Overall, we did enjoy the night and will come back and are happy to give the restaurant a good rap to friends. Cheers/graham

    Fabulous drinks list. Cocktail was lovely as was wine by the glass. A starter was shared - the dumplings were very tasty and great value. Our mains steak and duck were also cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. A really lovely night out for our second visit to Bridgewater.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our meal for our anniversary dinner. Several friends had made the recommendation and we’re so glad they did! The waiters recommendation for the bombe Alaska was a perfect end to the meal. We will definitely be back 😊

    As usual the service was great with friendly staff and good table service. The only thing that would make it better is for a couple more of non seafood staters and perhaps mains as we are both allergic to shell fish. But we understand the menu must reflect the majority and we will still go back regularly. ( Duck Wontons were to die for) We dine out 3 nights a week and go were the menu suits us but Bridgewater is still in my top 3 places to visit. Kind regards, Mike

    We had the 5 course degustation meal snd it was lovely. The kingfish starter was the standout, closely followed by the milk pudding for desert. Service was impeccable and the restaurant is very nice.

    Could not recommend this establishment high enough not only for the outstanding food and service but the location and ambiance. We had the 5 course degustation and pairing wines. As a table of six we would all come back and do it again!

    We love Bridgewater it’s our favourite restaurant. The service is awesome & the food always demonstrates such care & attention to detail. The flavours are just amazing & show true talent! The only thing that compliments the food is the service which is also always awesome & just how we remember it!

    Meals were well planned and flavours exceptional. Service was very attentive. Beautiful breeze coming though large open windows with a view of the river. Tables well placed for a romantic dinner. Would definitely come back.

    We have been multiple times to BRIDGEWATER and honestly I cannot fault anything. We are always greeted with a smile and the best food. No complaints from us. We travel an hour for this experience and it never disappoints. See again soon thank you. Regards Wendy
