First time at Brandl. I can see it becoming one of my “go to” places. Food was delicious and well presented. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of the menu. The fact that it is a BYOB was an added bonus

The staff was overwhelmed. Had to wait 30 minutes even with a reservation. The waiter was rude and not attentive at all.

I was trying to get up from my table at one point to use the bathroom. I wasn't in anyone's way. Our waiter walked by and said "get out of my way".

The entre was good but we ordered a meat and cheese plate that was $22 for 2 pieces of tastless cheese and meat on a white dinner plate. Not right.

I was very underwhelmed by the expirience at best and offended by the staff at the worst.

We're still talking about the wonderful first-time experience we had at Sunday's Easter Brunch. From the bibb/beet salad and the shrimp cocktail, through the rack of lamb and fillet mignon to the chocolate cheesecake everything was fresh, delicious and served in generous amounts. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was interesting, seating was comfortable and background music was perfect. Will definitely put this on our list of favorites.

Made 6:30 reservation for party of 7 (2 children) on Saturday April 3rd based on Easter Menu promotion. Was advised upon arrival that promotion $50 for 3 courses was up to 6pm. That was not advertised or printed on the menu flyer or emails. I didn’t question it further or leave. Bill exceeded $350 without tips and I feel fooled. We ordered 2 children’s meals, 2 appetizers, 5 entrees and 3 desserts and 3 coffees.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dinners! Short ribs, filet, crab cake, lamb chops.
Everything cooked to perfection! We were repeat customers. Ambience, service, efficiency excellent. Can't wait to return.

Great place! Food and service is always excellent. Only problem is that the gentleman at the front, perhaps the manager, had his mask around his chin. I had to ask him to put his mask up when he came to our table. He was very nice but should know better.

Food was decent but you just have to know what to order. Some dishes are much better than others. My app was full of flavor and I wanted more and I was excited for my entree ....
but when it arrived was not perfect. Noodles were made with a pasty duck sauce which wasn’t so pleasant but I was starving so ate some of it, the meat was tender and delicious.
My guests calamari was not fresh. Maybe freezer fresh. For what they charge the calamari could be fresh from the port with no extra cartilage on it.
200.00 dinner for two people and one drink.
I don’t mind paying for a quality dish but come on guys.
No one said goodbye or thank you for stopping by which is unusual especially when you look directly at the manager and he just pretends he doesn’t see you, that’s just not friendly but hey
They don’t even wanna tell you their crab appetizer is 89.00 , maybe they think you’ll just order it assuming is 20-30 bucks and get a big wow when the bill comes.
The place looks shabby on the exterior and they act as if it’s a high end establishment.with nyc prices$$$

Maybe because I was just a Gordon Ramsey’s place the night before I was disappointed with brandl.
Sorry, step up your game brandl. I recommend pazzo or undici they aren’t too far from there.
I wanted to add the waiter was well trained and did his job but soon as the bill was paid, gone.

9 out of 10 times I leave Brandl's, full with NO leftovers. This latest visit was exactly the same... From the wedge salad with slabs of bacon to the delicious braised ribs to the apple struedel, not a morsel was left on my plate. The addition of the guitarist was a plus...Always looking forward to my next visit...

The Food here is fantastic. Always. Lately, and I don’t know if it is a Covid thing ( like unable to get servers?) but our server gave us very little attention. We had appetizers, expensive ( and delicious) steaks , but had to get up and get our own wine glasses as an example. Twice. Would have expected our server to come by our table many more times. They were busy and now I am wondering if he was the only one with a bunch of bus people and food runners. The manager kept pulling him aside when he obviously had multiple things to do and our server did not look happy about it. Very cool place and great food but I don’t need to go back. There are many restaurants where I feel well cared for, like they are glad I am there. Not here. Not last time either. No third chance. Sorry. Like I said... awesome food.

Another perfect meal was experienced by my hubby and me. We ordered off of both the Early Bird and regular menus. We both had fabulous appetizers, main courses, and delicious desserts. Vincent , our waiter, always has food suggestions for us. Our glasses were never empty, and we have always left with full stomachs. Looking forward to a return in the near future...

Food was absolutely delicious as always! The meatballs were superb!!! I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD OR EVEN OK MEAL AT BRANDL'S! EVERY MEAL EVERY DISH IS MORE DELICIOUS THAN THE ONE BEFORE! And the wait staff are knowledgeable and adorable!

We love this local gem of a restaurant. The food is creative and inventive. My husband had the grilled venison double cut chop that was fork tender as was my filet mignon. Tasty sides rounded out entrees. I had the Sicilian cauliflower and he the Brussels sprouts. We ended dinner with a truly decadent chocolate soufflé...delicious!

This restaurant is fantastic i have never had anything less then perfect . The service is good but we asked for a few things and got told the waitress did not know if they had them and did not check or come back to us . the only other negative is it is not cheap and a BYOB, I however do not mind paying ore for great food!

Our dining experience this week was combination of selecting nightly specials and tried and true favorites. For appetizers we had the wedge salad and the meatball special. The meatballs were tender and juicy served in a dual sauce of alfredo and marinara, excellent. The wedge salad with bleu cheese and bacon is always a great choice. Main courses were Chicken Milanese and a gnocchi special. The gnocchi were served dressed with marinara sauce and we heavenly, very light tasting. The chicken was pounded thin and topped with arugula and pecorino cheese which added some pizzazz to this crispy cutlet. Overall, a wonderful meal.

The manager needs to be replaced. After reading many reviews about the same issue no one can understand why he's still there. If it weren't for our server Vincent and the nice music we would have been very disappointed overall. The food is mediocre and for the price it is certainly not a value. The deserts on our prefix were the worst desserts I've ever tasted in my life. The apple strudel wasn't cooked with a canned apple filling and the Strawberry Shortcake was a tasteless wafer with fake whipped cream. The wedge salad does not even have real blue cheese and tastes like it's a bottled dressing and totally unimpressive. The manager stood behind the bar and was on his phone the entire time we were there. I am not sure how they are still in business. We certainly will not go back and let everyone we know in the area about our disappointing experience there
