The Boulevard - is one of our favorite places to have dinner ! The mussels are hands down the best un DALLAS !
Drinks are always on point , food is always good, service is always great ! If you are looking for a good dinner, try this places.
Great place for brunch if you are looking for a authentic slightly more mature brunch...you can tell thats this is Chef inspired cuisine...great quality selections and bursting with different flavors. Portions are European sized portions not Texas...lol...sooooo goood though!
Everything was terrific except the Crawfish Fritters, Which we have ordered at least 8 times in the past.
Last nights were nothing like the light fluffy hushpuppy type we have grown to love, instead it was a weird dough ball with a gooey center and the exterior was more like bread crust and not a nice crispy exterior, Hope they solve this issue.
Food and service were outstanding, as usual. Only negative was a sewer odor coming from the restroom area, we asked to be moved as far as possible which they accommodated without fuss.
We had the pleasure of having Amy serve us. She was, as usual, a delight. She's also very familiar with the wine list and had a terrific Pinot as a recommendation. I had an off menu veggie dish and would have licked the bowl if that was acceptable behavior... which it is not! We recommended the steak frites to our friend who had not dined their before and she said it was fantastic! This is our favorite restaurant in Dallas.
Excellent Food. Noisy. Mediocre Service. I will definitely dine here again when I am in the mood for this type of atmosphere. Perhaps the waitess was tired. Service was sufficient, but not oersonalbke.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere
A great restaurant with a continuous identity crisis: serving world class food in a relaxed, not stuffy ambience but with Whattaburger like service (aka people dressed in sweats just taking and delivering your order without adding or subtracting anything to / from the experience). It could be a lot more but then again, considering how small the place is, it would then probably be too crowded and difficult to get a table at. As it is, it works for me ... but only ocasionally.
Very creative brunch dishes that tasted as good as they were described on the menu. Since we couldn't try each of the brunch cocktails in one sitting, we'll have to come back soon!
My wife and I decided to spend our last night in Dallas dining at Boulevardier. We had an 8pm reservation and showed up right on time. We were told by the hostess(who was very kind and polite) that our table was about 10-15 minutes behind schedule and she recommended that we grab a drink at the bar. No problem at all. We grabbed our drinks and our table was ready within a few minutes.
Unfortunately, that’s where our quality service stopped. We waited a few minutes and our server came over and hurriedly asked us if we wanted any starters. I quickly ordered the tartare and he was gone. I was a little confused as the table next to us was getting a full feature on the specials for the evening and talking about some of the menu items. We noticed the specials board and took it upon ourselves to see what they had. My wife had a couple questions about a few of the menu items and the description she was given by our server was dismal at best. We ordered our entrees and didn’t see out server again until we were halfway through our meal.
The food was good, but nothing to tell your friends about. The lamb was cooked well but the couscous accompaniment was lacking in flavor. I wasn’t able to get any of the saffron flavor due to the excess of feta and the tomatoes that looked like they had been cut by a three year old. One bite was diced, one bite was a quarter of a tomato. We finished our meal and waited for about 10 minutes to get our check. The server simply dropped the check off and walked away with no “thank you for coming” or acknowledgement at all. The cocktails and wine were delicious, the food was good, but in the end the service makes the meal. We unfortunately left disappointed.
The food was wonderful and the wine pairings amazing. It was a lovely New Year’s Eve celebration.
Love this place. I have eaten there at least 4 times, and everything has been excellent all the way around every time. The cocktails are what originally brought this restaurant to my attention; it was an added bonus that the food was so good.
The grilled oysters were delicious and the specials from the board were almost as good. The wine selection was also great. The french onion soup was too heavy and rich with too much bread and onion in it--in my experience the best French onion soup consists primarily of broth and cheese with only bits of onion and bread. Otherwise Boulevardier was fantastic and we will be going back.
Beignets had no flavor. Duck dishes greasy. Food service/wait staff slow.
Always love eating at Boulevardier! The food is delicious, the staff is great, and the ambiance is relaxing.
Christmas Eve with our son and his girlfriend. It was perfect in every way!
Always one of our family’s favorite Dallas restaurants! Reminds us of a New York neighborhood restaurant, cozy ambiance, friendly service, delicious food, and an awesome wine selection.
Food and service was top notch as always. However the table next to us somehow thought it was OK to have a 15 minute loud FaceTime conversation during our meal. Love this restaurant. Really wish people would respect mealtime and other people.
My first time here, and I’m sorry I did not come sooner! The food was fantastic Kristen did an absolutely great job taking care of us and the ambience is very “French café“. Loved it we will be back much more often. We’ve also patronized the other restaurant called Rapscallion that the owners have & it’s great also
From the hostess, to the bar staff, and our waiter, I would rate everyone who works there as among the best in Dallas - so friendly and welcoming. The food was really good too. They have a nice selection of fresh oysters. The scallops and the lamb chops were delicious. The service was just right. We really enjoyed the experience.
Our server was fantastic. Our food was amazing and the evening was complete. Love this restaurant.
Wonderful bartender. Great service. Amazing oysters.
Fairly steep prices. Waiter could have been more attentive. Happy overall. Mussels are amazing!!
Date night. Always a great spot.
One of our favorite places for weekend brunch. Always wonderful food and good service.
Great place to celebrate a special night out!
Dining at Boulevardier is a special pleasure. Narrowing down ones choices on the menu is not easy. We all started with a bowl of world class French Onion Soup. Definitely worthy of having driven 150+ miles for the soup alone. We each had a different entrée. Each entrée was so delicious that no one wanted to share. It simply means that we will have to return to try something different...next time!
Our wait person was Scarlett. Her oversight of our table and needs was impeccable as was her knowledge of each wine on the menu. Ask for Scarlett and do start with the French Onion Soup. It, alone, will ensure a return visit!
Great to see that Boulevardier has maintained its consistency all these years. We had a large group and the food and the service was flawless.
What a wonderful restaurant experience! Food was top notch. The service was incredible and our server was very knowledgeable and personable. The wine list was great. The only small complaint I had was that it was rather loud, but it was a very busy Saturday night, so it is expected.
Incredible food, awesome staff, and we found out that they have service industry night on Sundays where all food except raw oysters and foie gras are have price.......We will most definitely be back very soon.
Brunch was lovely, “legs and eggs” sublime: confit duck leg with corn fritters and sunny side eggs, huckleberry preserves. Service was awesome. Wine list excellent. Other entrees were outstanding as well: the burger, potato hash, and chicken paillard. Thanks, new favorite in Oak Cliff!
Legs and eggs was delicious for brunch
❤️’d our experience tonight and Kristen was awesome!
My dining experience was a Sunday evening, so not sure if my experience is typical. I was expecting a high end dining experience based on reviews, menu and prices. This is a very casual, relaxed setting which I was overdressed for wearing a jacket. We started at the bar while waiting for our party to arrive. After waiting at a bar table for 10 min I had to ask the hostess to find a server for us. The bar service was slow and not very hospitable the remainder of the time we were there. Once we moved to our table we found our waitress to be extremely attentive, knowledgeable of the food and wine menus and very apologetic for delays in the bar and the kitchen. If it wasn't for her delightful personality and attentiveness my review would be much worse. Our appetizers were very good, but for the price I was not really blown away by the marrow or foi grass. There was a delay with our entre so the server provided a complimentary salad. When our entrees did finally arrive they were very well prepared and cooked to our liking but I found it to be similar to the appetizers, good but nothing worthy of a repeat trip given other options in Dallas.
I was really exciting to try this restaurant as I'd heard good things. Maybe my expectations were set too high but I believe there are better restaurants in the area if you're going to spend the money. I would not recommend the place nor will I return.
This was one of the best dining experiences we have had in awhile. On par with its neighbor, Lucia.
It’s a great environment and the staff was so attentive. Valet parking next door is the way to go. Will go back!
Delicious food, great atmosphere. Definitely recommend.
Very cozy inside, especially considering how cold and wet out. My mom was on a walker and they were very helpful. We ordered a variety of apps, meals and cocktails. Of course, wine with dinner! All arrived timely and delicious. Great find in the neighborhood.
Get the mushroom toast and the mimosa with a shot of elderflower. And finish with the cheese plate. Best cheese plate AND brunch I've ever had.
