This restaurant is permanently closed. Booth One is a classic Chicago restaurant being reintroduced in the heart of the Gold Coast neighborhood from Lettuce Entertain You. Drawing inspiration from the legendary restaurant at the former Ambassador East Hotel, Booth One is a contemporary American concept with a vibrant, social dining scene. The beverage program boasts classic, straightforward cocktails and a wine menu focusing on French and American bottles that complement the modern cuisine.

Excellent service, as always. Food was fantastic. Friendly, but not over-bearing. Wish there was a live jazz trio like in the Pump Room days. Need sheers to surround sunken dining area to make more private from bar. Very nice.

Had to visit Booth One before they closed for good. It’s a shame that they are closing. Just hope that Lettuce Entertain You will open the restaurant at another location. Loved the food and music they played. Service was always exceptional. So very disappointed that they are no longer open!

As we were being seated, wenran into a family we knew and talked to them. The server was very polite when we sat down. She was attentive and answered our questions. The baked Alaska was wonderful. Everyone was watching when they prepared it at the table, and were envious

Food was stunning. Excellent caesar salad, tuna tartare and lobster hors d'oevres. Impressive service and wine sommelier. After a pricey wine purchase, they offered us desserts on the house. Beautiful mille feuilles was a great end to a lovely meal.

Mediocre at best. Service started great but fell off. Neither one of us loved our food and my steak came out undercooked. Sooner with tip was 150 so anything Les than amazing doesn't warrant a second trip

All of the food since its first day has been excellent. The staff is wonderful and remember us since we
live in the neighborhood. The drinks are crafted properly and they carry my favorite tea, Rare Tea Cellars.
The desserts are so wonderful. You can't go wrong picking any one of them.
Andrew was our server and was excellent!!!
Unfortunately, Booth One will be closing at the end of June, 2019. We will miss it, as it is one of the few
restaurants in our area and it is a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, bringing its reputation and great food.

I’m so sad this is closing!! We had a very wonderful special anniversary meal. Very romantic ambiance. Andrew our server was great. The prime rib (special) was the best I have ever had. Chicken was wonderful. Great frites and shrimp cocktail. Excellent cheesecake.

Wonderful service & delicious vegetarian options. Went for dinner & had a great experience all around. Sad to hear they are closing in about a month. Get in while you can! We had truffled cauliflower soup, tortellini & wild mushroom risotto. The best risotto I've ever had. Killer pesto tortellini. Will try to go back before closure!

I love the room. Wish they left the lights the way they were in the past. Now too high. Too uniform.

Service was just OK tonight. Lacked the polish of the past. Water wasn’t refilled. Silverware not replaced.

The food is good. Both did the three course menu. Not spectacular like off the menus items. The amuse was the best dish, followed by the Parker House Rolls.

Competition is steep in Chicago.

we liked coming here but our recent experience was not the same. took 15 minutes for waiter to take drink/appetizer order; then one drink was brought after ten minutes and the other three five minutes later. then, had to flag waiter down to give dinner order. in the meantime, the music got louder and the place was clearing out; difficult to carry on table conversation fir all. heard the table of six next to us ask for music to be lowered. booth one usually has a great music playlist. not this evening; felt like we were in a hubbard street bar with techno-type and loud disco/type music playing not suited for a relaxing dinner.

we liked this restaurant for their waitstaff, ambiance and food. food was great but the other two not.
am giving this review not to complain/criticize, but because we were disappointed it wasn’t consistent with our previous visits.

We were a table of four. This would be a perfect place to dine if the food had more nuanced tastes and more originality. The quality of the food was excellent, but the tastes were really mediocre. Some of us had the soft shell crab. It was a beautiful serving of crab but relatively tasteless. The same was true for the desserts ordered.

On the other hand, service was top notch, ambiance was great, and the noise level very subdued - one of the most comfortable places I've dined at in years.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the restaurant because the food just doesn't warrant it.

There are two distinct areas for eating. The main, central room that seemed more elegant, and the side sitting area that is more like a diner. We were sat on the side. The food is overpriced. So it goes.

As usual the meal and service were excellent. They do need a food stylist in the kitchen though. My dining companion ordered the chicken dish and while quite good, the entire plate was brown eg chicken, fries etc. I ordered the beef Wellington...two pieces of beef with a dollop of mashed potatoes in the middle. Good food is very important but so is the presentation and this restaurant needs to step the presentation aspect up.
