We had a group of 6 and really enjoyed the evening. The service was very good and the food and wine was lovely. The only thing was that it was noisy and we had to talk louder to hear each other which would have made it even noisier.

I have been to Bodega several times and have always enjoyed the food, service, and great wait staff. This time we sat in the first section of the restaurant and it was somewhat noisier than the other room especially with the door to the restaurant left open. Generally the food was tasty and interesting however on this occasion I found some of the dishes tasted bland. The avocado on one of the dishes was tasteless. It added nothing to the dish and only served to make the meal less textured. There was also a sauce on a chicken dish that didn't add much flavour or spice. Not sure if the avocado had been cut with something to make it smooth so it lost more of its flavour this way. So overall mixed feedback on the dishes.

Spanish wine we chose was excellent.

We'll probably give this one a rest for the moment.

Dont ever write review but dìd not understand menu.order corn fritters.i thought fritter was made with batter not crisp base.calamari dish very small undercooked. Pork salad ok but not great

This eatery helped revitalise Surry Hills as a foodie's destination with outstanding reason. The dishes all have a distinct favour and the standouts are the skirt steak, corn fritters and especially the fish fingers. Whilst many restaurants open and shut like the flash in a pan, this place stays open for good reason.

The food was fun, innovative, banging with Flavour. Want to come and try more. We were impressed with the flavors and the freshness with each dish. Loved the fusion effects to each Latin element. We left with a need to come back for more.

The dumplings and wagyu beef were outstanding. Slightly less enthusiastic about the fish fingers which were tasty but a little too salty. The banana split dessert was as good as the reviews state!

Lovely place and outstanding service, with a wonderfully colourful waitress serving us. Food was a little disappointing - out of balance and one dish was over cooked. Considering it’s not cheap I was underwhelmed.

They called to confirm that we would be prompt for our 6pm seating, so we arrived a little early assuming that it would be busy for this seating and turn around tables. Door was locked, and while staff milled inside they did not unlock for us to come in early even for a drink so we waited patiently outside. When door was unlocked at 6pm the place stayed relatively empty for the first hour, save for a large hen's party which may have caused the kitchen to be a little slower on our front. It was full by the time we left at 8pm with many walk in's, and at the end we had a different staff member whom was much more gracious, but it was unfortunately that they had set an expectation about us being prompt yet weren't able to match this.

Not really as the food was really average for the price we’ve paid -$65/pp for a set menu it wasn’t a good value and not enough food - we were expecting a better quality and more food for the price we’ve paid

The pork cutlet was something to write home about!

Great to have the option of vermouth although a bizarrely small serve if you’re used to Spanish serving sizes. Mind you it was to die for.

Octopus salad was fun and crunchy to eat and octopus cooked to perfection.

To fully enjoy the menu you really have to abandon all sense of fiscal responsibility but it sure is fun to drink & eat fresh quality produce in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff are the perfect balance of friendly, helpful and professional.

Fantastic and varied menu, everything we had was a winner in a relaxed but hip ambience. A short walk from Central Station made it easy access, and the drinks were delish too. Highly recommend the pumpkin dumplings, wagyu skirt, and the pollo macha!

Lovely dinner as always at Bodega on Saturday. We've been coming here for more than ten years and the food is consistently inventive and delicious. The fish fingers (cuttlefish on charred toast with mojama) are my fave. A lovely wine list, try the albarino. And the zucchini and manchego gozleme keep us coming back. Friendly, laidback service. Thanks Bodega!

Food is amazing with unique and creative blend of cuisines.....tapas style but presented like a degustation. Our favourite was the pumkin dumplings with burnt sage butter, cream and toasted pumpkin seeds...followed by fish finger ceviche on charred bread with cuttlefish and mojama...delish!!

Bodega Tapas meals are fresh. The Service is wonderful and friendly. The ambience is nice.
The chocolate desert was the best value.

But the tapa meals are small, split for two at best and over priced. And the sundae caramel sauce was burnt.

For three women who are small eaters we had a glass of sangria each and several dishes which cost $75 per person and we left hungry.
