Bobby Van's Steakhouse and Grill located across from the New York Stock Exchange uses the original 1898 structure to create lush and evocative dining rooms filled with dark wood, cream-colored walls and beautiful chandeliers. Pass through the glass entrance of the steakhouse into the grand dining room with 20' ceilings to face a gorgeous 20-foot bar and a floor-to-ceiling wall of wine and liquor. My husband and I were in the city for the weekend. We have been here many times. My husband had the crab cakes and I had the filet mignon... both amazing. Crab cakes are mostly crab held together with very little stuffing. Steak seasoned and grilled perfectly medium rare. Nice wine selection and great service.
We ordered a side of green beans. Way too much for two people. Maybe side should come in two sizes to save on waste and save the restaurant money.
Our order could surely have fed 5 people.

Service was poor. Never refilled water , waited a while for food to come never checked if wanted a drink from bar, once food came they didn’t come to check in meal. We ordered the bone in ribeye medium which was $65. It came out well done.. I have had better ribeyes at outback for a fraction in the cost. I was expecting Bobby Vans to be like a Ruth Chris or Morton’s.. I would not recommend this place. Tou would be better off going to an outback. Very disappointing!!!

This was a lovely place for a delicious and unrushed meal. We had a wonderful experience. The area is somewhat deserted on a Saturday night but the restaurant was busy while keeping within COVID protocols. The cocktails were perfect, the steak and sides were just right, and they divided the huge salad for us without even being asked. I would go back in a heartbeat.

I went here for my friends bday.... I hated our meal. To spend over $300 for 2 people I expected so much more. Really broke my heart considering dining is restricted and it was my first outing in a long time with him.

We went for Valentine’s dinner but didnt avail of their Valentine’s menu as they didnt have steak in the special menu. My husband and I had the bine in ribe eye which was delicious! Mushroom and brussel sprouts are tasty and huge serving for 2 people.

Service somewhat slow but it Valentine’s day so maybe they are very busy.

Ambience is dark and cozy, it is in an antique JP Morgan vault which is cool.

This is my second time eating at Bobby Van's. My first experience was outstanding with great food and great service from the bartender Shaquille. This time around, the food was still good, but the service was lacking and a little rude. It was on Valentine's Day and if they had a time limit imposed on length of stay, then that probably should have been mentioned up front. Instead when our appetizer came and our server was immediately trying to get our meal order; we asked for a few minutes and he said (kind of loudly standing in the middle of the floor) that we only had one hour?!?!? Which made absolutely no sense that a "romantic" 3 course meal should be scarfed down in ONE hour...Now I will say he did back off and we ultimately stayed for 2 hours. Not sure if Management mentioned something or if they weren't getting the rush they anticipated, but it was still off putting and set a terrible tone for the entire evening. On top of that, I didn't hear of anyone else being told of a time limit, so it made me wonder if we were being rushed because the server was anticipating not getting a decent tip (sidenote: I'm an excellent tipper and even with the not so great service, still tipped $50 on a $250 bill). While the food remains excellent, it doesn't make up for rude service and unless I can sit in the bar area and have Shaquille as a server, I will probably not go back again.

The food was just okay. The service was not good. We ordered an additional side that never came out. By the time we saw the waiter, our meal was more than half way done and we asked him to cancel it. He still brought it out, cold. We didn't get charged for it but it was irritating. Then he charged us double by accident. Which is an easy fix but just another example about a lack of attention. I have been to multiple other Bobby Van's locations and had a wonderful experience, so i expected the same from broad street. Unfortunately, this has put a bad taste in my mouth going forward. Which is extremely disappointing for me. It felt like because it was the day before valentines day, and they had a special valentines day menu, that the quality just lacked. Really upsetting.

The are not open for outdoor dining. I wish you would have accurate information about which Restaurants are open for outdoor dining. It was freezing that day and we were not able to find anywhere else to go. It was a very annoying experience. The restaurant had no explanation for why they are still taking reservations.

The food is always delicious but the service is drastically different than it was a year ago. Pre-COVID the wait staff was very attentive and quick, but now that seating is limited and there are less people dining in; one would hope the service may be the same but it is not. Had to repeatedly ask to get drink refills and food wrapped to go while our waiter would walk by without refilling empty glasses.

We celebrated my boyfriends birthday and had a wonderful time! The food was excellent - juicy steak and big portions for the sides, appetizers were delicious as well, drinks were great, ambiance was lovely. Everyone was friendly and took great care of us! We really appreciated the fun evening and highly recommend.
