Food was amazing, the fried cauliflower was out of this world! Also the cocktails were first rate, would highly recommend to anyone... Thank you!!
Boa buns were great! So yummy.
As vegetarians we thought the options were a bit light but good food.
The meat Eaters we went with said there’s was amazing.
Food, service and drinks were beautiful! Sat by the fire which was nice and snug! Thanks for the amazing night x
Loved the food and cocktails. Service great. Only complaint is that it was way too dark. Gave us small dim lamps on table that did not help. Had to get phone torches out to read menus. May be trendy but not practical!
The meal was delicious and the service was fantastic.
Food was amazing and great valve for money. Service was outstanding
Amazing we will be back. Lovely food, fantastic staff very nice atmosphere great wood fire.
Amazing food , delicious, reasonably priced and good portion sizes
Best food and service!! However snapper isn’t worth the $$. That was the only negative
Food was amazing, price was more than fair, actually very cheap as far as ski resort prices go.
Absolutely loved our dinner! Food was delicious, service fabulous, waitress so friendly and accommodating, vibing atmosphere and breathtaking views.
Was so disappointed with the quality of the food that I would never return. Three of us ordered the Massaman Pak Curry (one with duck) and it just tasted like coconut milk with a bit of colouring spice - no complexity of flavours. I could do better at home and this is not what I go out for. When Barry Iddles ran the restaurant at Elk for years it was a wonderful experience - interesting, flavoursome food and Barry's presence and care for his diners all made yearly revisits a must. We will not be going back while it is Bob Sugar at Elk. There are some other delicious places to eat on the mountain. Sadly, this is no longer one of them. Bring back Barry, I say!
Dinner was delicious, staff were very friendly and the open fire was beautiful.
All the food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.
The service was warm, friendly, prompt and professional. The two of us ordered four share plates but couldn’t eat it all. Unless you have huge appetites three should suffice. We had chicken wit rice, crispy prawns, boa with pork belly and roasted vegetables. I would highly recommend that you pay a visit.
Good food, good view and ambiance. I love everything about it!
The food was amazing! But at $65 a head. We didn’t feel it was good value for money with the dishes we were served. Had we chosen our own 4 dishes. We would have spent less. The first dish being the sesame crackers were nice. But didn’t really fit with the price per head.
We had dinner here with our 3 kids and it was amazing. The food was great, the staff were lovely and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend.
The food was delicious. The bacon and egg toastie was massive! And paring that with a vegetable breakfast shared between 2 was a feast to enjoy.
Great food for a lunch menu. All of us enjoyed the variety of meals offered.
Great for family meal - lovely food and good options for kids. Will definitely return.
6 for lunch
Food omg so delicious small choice but that was not an issue when everything was so hard to choose from
Everyone loved the food the staff sooo friendly and efficient
Beautiful way to spend a break from the snow fields!!!
Highly recommend can’t wait to go back
A fantastic meal and great place to eat at Falls Creek a nice cosy fire and easy to get to
Thanks for a great night Bob
Good food, fair pricing, definitely recommend visiting Bob Sugar.
Great venue, good food selection. Family of four enjoyed a selection of share plates and the kids loved the baus
Everyone in our group loved the food. Great kids menu that gives them better options than the usual fish and chips. My daughter loves the chicken Bao burger, grown ups loved the sticky pork and duck masaman curry.
Don’t get the feed me options. It’s a scam for you to pay more for less. If you add up the value of what was served on the alacarte menu vs the same food served in the feed me menu, it’s more the $40 extra. You might as well just choose what you want to eat from the menu and pay much less for that. And they try too hard on Asian fusion. Throwing some Asian spices into food doesn’t make it Asian fusion, you need to understand the flavours, depth, and complexity of what Asian spices are. And how these spices complement with local ingredients and flavours. The massaman curry was just coconut milk with some asian herbs thrown in there, that was probably the worse in the menu. Don’t order that. The glazed pork was tough, and really was just overly salty. The menu looks really good and quite extensive, which was what attracted me to the restaurant. However, if the feed me menu was the chef representation of what’s best in the menu, i wouldn’t think too much of the rest of the items. It will most probably satisfy the vast majority who may just think it’s unique “Asian” fusion concept, but on the whole it’s a no-no if you’re looking for good quality Asian fusion food. Many better restaurants around at Falls creek.
Food was absolutely beautiful, I am a celiac and they catered perfectly for Gluten Free . We had the “Feed Me” and it was so yummy and lots of food .. highly recommend !!
This was such a departure from other years dining at Elk that it was shocking- the service was abysmal, no care and actually rude from our main waitress. The wine list is all over the shop. Doesn't cater for families. So loud this night it wasn't funny. actually a horrible experience and we won't ever go back - and we were regulars each year. So disappointed.
Although we were concerned the set menu which is compulsory for 6 or more people we worked out it was a good night out.
We ate a few things which we probably would not have ordered and came out very full.
Each dish given was very tasty and served as pairs. Moving across veg to proteins. They even catered for dietary requirements.
Staff was also pleasant and attentive.
Once the place filled up it did get quite noisy. So if you like hustle and bustle then it is well worth it.
Food was fantastic. Lovely ambiance and good service . Open fire was beautiful but a little but smokey. Will definitely return .
Highly recommend, delightful waitress,
Loved the variety on the menu and lovely choice of dishes especially for our veggie n gluten free family
Amazing food, fast and friendly service and great cocktails!
The “ feed me menu” was absolutely ridiculous, we were given $30 dollars a head worth of food, yet charged for $65 without even knowing the food which we would receive. The waitress even noticed that there wasn’t enough food to be shared around the group evenly. Make sure if you go in a group over 6 that your aware of this.
Great share plates with loads of flavour. Highly recommended
Great portion size of meals along with being nicely presented and good value. Great flavours and tastes and even pleased my 7 year old, especially with the big ice cream serving! Thank you
Absolutely delicious food. We had the chefs tasting menu for $65pp. Every dish was amazing and the serves were very generous. Amazing value for $65.
Beautiful restaurant with great ambience. Highly recommend.
Pork belly, prawns, BAO chicken buns, yum! Topped off with a nice Shiraz
