Boardwalk Cafe @ North Lakes Hotel
The most disappointing thing was that we had prebooked some time ago and when we arrived the set up of our tables was poorly executed and squished. I had also mentioned that there would be 2 prams and there was no room for them at the table either.
Food was nice and the location is beautiful
Open relaxed and fabulous view out on the deck. Coffee is amazing
Nice food and reasonably priced. The eggs Benedict was delicious.
We enjoyed our lunch and found the food good, tho not great. The atmosphere and position is wonderful. Staff are very helpful.
The food was excellent, ambiance very good a near by table was very noisy for a while but then reasonable, overall a good experience
took daughter for birthday meal in restaurant, very dissappointed, had to go OUTSIDE and wait in long line to order, then asked for 6 glasses for drinks.3were very dirty ,2 with lipstick on rim.I ordered seniors meal of fish and chips.could have had much better at any fish and chip shop.(thin bit of battered fish and few overcooked chips).overall very upset with no service and dirty glasses and below par meals.
As usual we enjoyed our lunch
Was busy though and service was pretty fast
We had butter chicken which to us was somewhat different than previous as sauce was thicker and curry level was quite hot
Next time we will have chicken Maryland
Also plan on having breakfast soon
Unfortunately there was a convention on site so getting seated was a challenge. All went well from there. Prompt service and delivery of food.
Fantastic service, great atmosphere and the food was delicious as always! Love hosting my monthly networking get togethers here - it is a perfect venue, and we love it for family dinners and get togethers as well. Highly recommend.
Rib eye fillet was horrible. Tasted boiled
I regularly bring work colleagues to this venue - always a nice place to have a meeting and coffee, snack or meal.
We got there at 5pm once we ordered and sat down one of the staff came around clearing all the tables (menus & flowers) which then made it look boring. Food was ok our starter came out with our main which was disappointing we were hoping to have it with our wine. Don’t bother sitting outside for dinner as it got darker no lights came on we were eating in the dark. Not even a candle. This was around 6pm. Overall atmosphere was pretty bad considering the view of the lake. The dining inside only had one table of 2 also. It was a Wednesday night so not sure if that makes a difference. Won’t be going back.
It was quite obvious that the food was not freshly made. The Gnocchi dish sadly was created utilizing canned/commercial goods, this was overtly due to the distinct smell that is synonymous with canned roma tomatoes. Overall the dish was unfortunately bland.
The pumpkin salad was also tasteless with the persian feta dominating the dish. There was nil Moroccan spice taste as the menu suggested and overall lacked flavour. The hummus too was also from a commercial provider and not freshly made.
As someone who comes from a Kitchen/chef background this was a disappointing experience considering we did not even know this place existed. Based on this I would not recommend this establishment for a dining experience.
For your consideration,
Food and atmosphere was lovely and I loved the cleanse ness of the area. I also love the sunny in the room and of course the lake is a plus.
What a beautiful spot on the lake. Was not super busy so we had our own little section and kept to ourselves.
Really enjoyed the range of food.
Was a great family day for us.
Nice location, food pretty average.
No butter on my toast.
A little pricey and basic .Very quiet ,it may have been the wet weather that kept people away
Beautiful place to eat, overlooking the lake ducks & swans passing by. Food lovely service great 👍
Lovely food, quiet night with the family, will be going back.
Meals were average but location on the lake is beautiful
Staff slow to clear plates even though not busy.
Restaurant staff really could step up.
Food was good. It was hot sitting outside. Only downside was, only the counter on the deck was open and there was lots of people lined up through the table, (where we were eating) and a very long wait to order. Really needed the inside counter open.
Cafe food at restaurant prices. We were there half an hour before the kitchen closed and some food was unavailable. It was a nice setting and the staff were very nice but the food was a bit overpriced.
