I've been to Bluefin a number of times and the experience has been excellent every
time. Service is very good. The food is exceptional... especially for this area. There are few really good restaurants in and around The Villages. So this restaurant is a welcome addition.
Enjoyed dinner there early December, good meal and nice atmosphere, however, they no longer take reservations of any kind and the wait is VERY LONG....Not sure any restaurant is worth standing around (if the bar is full) for hours....
Limited menu was a disappointment. Not enough fish dishes. Scallops good but other 2 fish dishes were not. I even had stomach ache overnight from the sauce and/or fish.
Service was very poor. Waiter impatient and did not return once entree was served to ask if second round of drinks were of interest- the answer would have been yes. And he never checked water glass refills. I had to catch his eye with empty glass waving in the air. I think our table was distant from all his others.
I had good swordfish dinner and great service the only other time I dined there so will give it 1 more try in future.
Enjoyed our New Years Eve dinner! They seated us right on time. Meal brought to us with hardly any wait. Food delicious. House wine was great too! I will be sure to have dinner there again very soon.
Ate here for New Years. Like their regular menu much better. Service was excellent. Kraig our server went out of his way to make everything enjoyable. Love Bluefin but stick to the regular menu
We’ve been here multiple times and enjoy each visit. Love the menu, ambience and value. We really like the Bluefin! Will be returning soon!
It is an upscale restaurant with prices a little high for what they offer. Won’t probably go back. Bonefish is much better
This is our favorite restaurant in The Villages. I hope more restaurants of its type come to The Villages. Food and ambiance is fabulous. This time seating was slower than normal, even though we had reservations; yet, we didn't mind because after all it was Christmas Eve.
This was our third time and the other two times have been good. This time ended a fiasco. We were a party of 8 with early reservations on Christmas Eve. We were seated on time at 4:15 and the restaurant only had about 5-7 table occupied. Our bar order appeared to take a long time but we ultimately received it. Several ordered appetizers and that was when we noticed several were missing silverware. We placed our entree orders and that took forever. When they were delivered, my plate was very hot however my Brussels sprouts were cold but I said nothing. Another in our party said that all of his food was cold and the waitress took it back...unfortunately it was not redelivered until absolutely everyone else was finished eating...very awkward situation for all. Finally he asked for a takeout box. The manager ultimately came over and comp’d the meal but for an upscale restaurant a take out box is not what he had in mind for Christmas Eve celebration. To make matters worse, when the bills arrived two couples were totally mixed up with charges. We knew each other and in the essence of time we thought we would just settle the differences n cash between us but the waitress insisted in doing it all over again. Now the time has grown to 7:00, everyone is flustered and you guessed it, even the redone tickets were still wrong. Mealtime ended up being almost 3 hours of total frustration.
Restaurant definitely is having a problem with both the wait staff, the kitchen and the bar. Not anywhere interested in returning until we hear things have improved! It’s a shame as it started off nicely.
I took my daughter and son in law to Blue Fin on Sunday evening. We arrived quite early but were quickly accommodated. The food was outstanding and our waitress was delightful. This was the third time I have dined at your restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed each meal. I will definitely recommend your restaurant to my friends.
We have been here several times. We have really enjoyed the food and bar personnel. Very unhappy that now they won’t take reservationfor 4 people! We like drinks and dinner with people so we can talk and enjoy intimately.
We were a group of 12 (reservation for 11 but it was easily taken care of) and everyone was very happy with their meal. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening. We WILL be back!!
Overall the food, service, and ambience were quite good. I only have one criticism. When I made the reservation I was asked if this was a special event. I marked that it was to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. I expected some sort of recognition of this event when we arrived for our reservation. However, nothing was said. That was a little disappointing and kept me from giving five stars.
The food was very good. It was nice to have fresh fish.
Everything was great . Only had to wait a couple of minutes. Service was great . Staff was efficient and friendly
Food was awesome.
Second time there had the same great experience.
Just love ❤️ the menu - good choices for everyone. One of the best places for seafood options. The waitstaff could not be more attentive . We will be going back often, very, very pleasant.
6 of us had different dinners. Whole lobster was yummy. Others loved assorted fish dishes. Had a great dinner for sure! Will be back!!!
Our first time there was a wonderful experience. So many things on the menu that I want to try. I can’t wait to go back.
Service was fantastic. We were well taken care of by Grace.
Great seafood and desserts. Petite were good but not great.
Enjoyed Bluefin and will go back. Only negatives are:
Very loud and I understand you are not taking reservations through Open Table which is NOT convenient.
Four meals at our table all enjoyed the Ahi Tuna, Pork Chop, Shrimp Dish and Coconut Haddock.
Love this restaurant. There were four of us celebrating my husband's birthday. Each one of us ordered something different, and we all loved what we had. All agreed that we would come back!
Food was good, as usual, but will not be going back. They no longer take reservations. While the food was good, it is not good enough for a 1 hour or longer wait. Bonefish is good seafood too and they take reservations.
We had dinner for 5 family members and each dinner was wonderful. Service is outstanding and prompt.
All of our dinners were hot when they arrived.
Our reservation was early, 4:45, but it worked out well. By the time we left there was a very long wait. Everything was wonderful for our first time at the restaurant. We will return.
One of the best new restaurants in the area. Food is first rate. Great value and selection. Everyone's meal was delicious.
LOVE THE RESTAURANT. WOULD ONLY SUGGEST LOWER LIGHTING IN THE EVENING.
We went there for my birthday. They looked after us very well, and I git a free dessert which was all very nice.
Friends in town. We ate outside and it was the Christmas tree lighting ceremony that evening. Everything about the restaurant was fine other than where we sat was near the vendor tents that had generators. They added to the noise level a little bit but their exhaust wasn’t very pleasant. That was a bit of a turn off. Avoid the weekly vendor night if you want an outside table.
Best Restaurant in Brownwood's Paddock Square of The Villages and the owner Fred's best of his eating establishments. Terrific, relaxing, color palete decor! Excellent wait staff and super management acknowledement and attention of customers throughout the visit. Manager, Michael, is outstanding. Food quality is really good, but a bit skimpy on the vegetable sides on the entree plate. Good balance with room inside or out on the patio. Pricing is fair, wine prices a bit high, menu variety is excellent, especially the fresh fish availabity. Try the Herb-crested Trout! Server staff could slow down a bit - sometimes too much fast paced traffic congestion at times around the tables. This place is the best restaurant in all of The Villages - let's hope it stays that way-
We found the main courses to be tasty although the selections of seafood limited. No shrimp dishes unless you ordered surf and turf, no lobster tails. Surprised they had several scallop dishes which were very good. PEI mussels were disappointing. Bread was VERY disappointing. Cold and doughy. Side dishes were very good and interesting. Desserts were unimaginative. Nice décor but much to bright for a relaxing ambience. Noise level WAY to high and that was on a Monday night and not even full to capacity. Wait staff was attentive. Won't be rushing back. To us it was nothing special.
Food was very good. Service was also very good. Requested seating outside but due to a rainstorm the restaurant was able to seat us inside without any delay.
Food and service was excellent. The only thing that kept the experience from being outstanding was the lighting in the restaurant. It was so bright that it was very distracting. We asked the server if the lights could be dimmed but nothing changed. I would hesitate to return unless the lighting is changed.
I have had excellent food here before. This dinner was a disaster. My husbands birthday. Good waitress, not her fault. As she served the cold French fries she announced they had just run out of brussels sprouts. She served my husbands 1 1/2 pound whole lobster which had not been loosened from its shell in any way. When he removed the tail, black guts ran out on the tail so there was no white edible tail whatsoever. He said he would eat the claws, not wanting me to eat alone. The claws were undercooked big time. Not edible either. Now the waitress brought nearly raw Brussels sprouts. He didn’t eat them. My scallops were undercooked ( not entirely translucent) but I ate them. There was no sincere concern from management ... apology words that made us feel like complainers. I’m not sure they ever said “I’m sorry”. They erased the $35 lobster charge and that was all. I think this was totally inadequate compensation and apologies. I would like the family owners to this this critique. Incidentally the salad was great. No bread served.
Service OK. Asked multiple times for bread. Whenarrived, not enough for one piece for all 6 of us. One diners food was cold on arrival. The rest was lukewarm. Very noisy restaurant.
We made a reservation for 4:30 (my birthday dinner) Sunday afternoon - "must reserve online!" so I did. Got there at 4:25 and an adult woman was at the front desk w 3 teen girls. The woman acted flustered and before greeting us answered the phone and got very upset with whomever and bolted away from the desk - the girls seemed confused as to their next move. "What was the name of your reservation?" one asked. We answered and she said she would have to wait for someone to return w the iPad. 2 minutes passed and another young girl brought it and we were then shown a table by the bar next to a rack stacked w dirty dishes so we asked for another choice - the place was not at all crowded. Showed us another table when I noticed a half-circle booth off to the side and we were seated there.
Then we waited and waited while many workers passed back and forth and no one even stopped to ask if we'd been helped. After 10 minutes passed we left and told the teens at the front why.
2 people in my golf group have had similar experiences w your poor service and one even had to send food back.
We ended up w great service and food across the street at Ricciardi's.
Maybe you should at least hire one of the teens to manage your business..
Waiter was very good but a little rushed. Too cold inside.
The food was excellent but the bottles of wine were a bit pricey. I thought the inside lighting could be dimmed a bit. Overall we were happy with our visit and will definitely return.
Noisy and crowded but otherwise nice atmosphere. However, we were very disappointed in the king crab leg “special”. It was very pricy and there were only two smallish crab legs. Even worse rhe shells weren’t split or cracked and because they were so soft we couldnt even crack the after requesting claw crackers. Needless to say, we went home hungry and disappointed.
