Good food and service. A little cramped, but not bad for NYC. Overall a very good breakfast. Eggs Benedict were excellent. The chicken and waffles were above average - the jalapeño infused maple syrup was just ok without much of a kick from the peppers.

This was our first time here since 2017. We were having a pre-theater meal. The space is small and tables close together. We were originally going to sit at a table for 2 very close to another couple, but the wait staff were nice enough to move us to another table with a bit more room. The menu has some interesting items and we had several different appetizers and split one of their interesting burgers. All the food was good and I would particularly recommend trying some of the unique deviled eggs. Service was good and meal was very enjoyable. We will return in future. I would like to try their brunch/breakfast menu which looked outstanding.

The food and service were exceptional. Freshly made and of food portion size. The only downside was the small size of the dining area. Tables are tightly packed and on the smaller side.

Tiny space, took forever to get our food (table next to us had virtually the same order and it arrived 20 minutes before we got our raw burgers). Nope.

Fantastic preshow dinner here! We chose to sample a variety of small plates and crostini as well as finely crafted cocktails. This would be a great addition to any night out. Great date night spot!

Great place! Only complaint was the table, very small place with tight seating so it was hard to hear my friends. Overall, food was excellent and the bill was cheap especially for a city restaurant.

Very nice little restaurant on W. 50th - great pre-theatre venue but ... very, very small. Get there early (before 5:00) to nab a decent table - otherwise, could be put in a very, very small corner! Food is good. Service goo, too.

The large farmhouse table in the middle of the restaurant is overwhelming, causing half of the restaurant seating to be very tight. If seated on one side of this low top table (as we were), your back is literally touching the bottom of the person seated at the high top behind you, which is not a very appetizing way to start a meal. Although other tables with a bit more space were available when we arrived (and stayed available during our entire meal), we were crowded on top of other diners. Also, one particular member of the bus staff was a bit over zealous ... constantly walking by and lingering while waiting for an empty plate to pick up. That and the seating made us uncomfortable, which is unfortunate because the food was good and the waiter was great, but these positives were overshadowed by the poor seating strategy and the lack of a comfortable experience. Would not recommend.

This should not be on Open Table because reservations are meaningless here. They do not have enough tables to seat and consider bar seats house seats. The place is dinky in size. Even though I had a reservation for a standard table, they said there was nothing but bar seats. There are even very few bar seats. This is really a bar with food, not a restaurant. I left and went to Thalia across the street. I would never return here nor recommend it for anyone pre-theater who wants to just enjoy a quiet meal.

Tasty - chips and guacamole were superb. Nice beer. Few things from menu weren't available but that's seasonal menus so I'm OK with that. Service could have been a little slicker but hey we weren't in a hurry.

We had pre-theatre dinner at New Blue Dog. One of us had one of the burger plates, and the other had a cod dinner. We also shared some deviled eggs. The eggs were really good, although the one with hummus and red beets was a little boring. The cod dish, served with dinner vegetables and lots of farro, was particularly tasty. The burger was not anything special, but it was perfectly fine. The restaurant is small and tight. We were seated in a corner table that was uncomfortable for two. The energy level is very high.

A fantastic place, cannot believe we only just discovered it. Delicious, creative food at reasonable prices in a lively, casual environment. The variety of deviled eggs (with truffle cauliflower purée, or breaded and fried with kimchi) are reason enough to come. The burgers like the French Connection are amazing, the salads delicious. And the cocktails are truly mixology heaven. And the staff are charming.

place is very small, so it'd be noisy if it fills up
mostly burgers, lots of interesting options
and apps, fresh chips with the guac
but service was awful, except for filling the water glasses, we were invisible, so many other places in the area, no need to go back
too bad, food was good

Great food, wonderful service - fun, but noisy. Love this place, the service is wonderful to go along with excellent food. We were early for our reservation, the hostess was funny and helpful in asking us to return at the time of our reservation and given her terrific attitude, we were delighted.
The beer selection is great and the burgers outstanding.

The only real knock on this place is that it’s extremely cramped. Very conscious about getting you out quickly since it’s big among theatre crowd, so service is attentive. I just had a burger, but it was good. I’ll go back

My salmon burger was delicious. One of the best I've had. But if I'm in the way of your servers, don't put us in that booth seat. And really don't tell me to move in more. It's disrespectful and not my problem. You go to a restaurant the first time for the food. The second time for the experience. My experience wasn't anything special. It put a dent in my luncheon meeting.

The food was great, but be prepared - this is a small restaurant and most seating is communal. So you're either sitting at a big table in the middle, or like me you're sitting at a high top narrow table along one of the walls. If you're used to small New Yorker restaurants you should be fine, but we saw a few tourist families come in and then walk out when they found out they would not have their own table.
