Lovely to see them make such a effort to accommodate groups legally outside, sheltered and warm. Few restaurants take outdoor booking like this. Great Sunday set lunch, look forward to going again when allowed.
Well looked after, great food, good ambiance and reasonable price
Bleeding heart bistro was the perfect place for a friends get together. Amazing French menu, great wine list and the service was impeccable
Great, warm outside area which is most needed during the winter months and covid! Lovely food and good service.
As good as ever at the Bleeding Heart, who have done a great job adapting and providing outdoor dining. Well worth a visit and a few minutes from Farringdon station.
Another excellent evening at the BH with colleagues who were also very impressed. Wonderful food and wine with excellent service, as always. Very much look forward to returning in 2021.
It is a great idea to have an outside area as it means you can meet friends but because it is so cold the food experience is obviously not as good as usual
We had a most enjoyable lunch under covid restricted circumstances. The restaurant did really well, and the food was first class as always.
Most enjoyable lunch. Sat outside in the courtyard. We were under cover and overhead heaters were on.
In these difficult times, it was lovely to be able to sit outside in such a central location. The food was very good.
Just a great place that gets everything right time after time
Great evening - well done and thank you for keeping going.
Eating outdoors in December isnt ideal but Bleeding Heart's marquee is a good place to go. But keep your coat and hat on!
One of the few restaurants in Central London that will take bookings out of doors but heated and covered. A huge plus point right now. Excellent quality and value set lunch, mine was crab and salmon, roast venison then cheese. Lovely to be there.
Having previously enjoyed several meals at this restaurant we decided to book for their new Sunday offering. Because of Covid some people were eating under a marquee outside, with heaters - it was bitterly cold. As a result, though we were inside, the restaurant was slightly chilly. My companion really enjoyed her meal of smoked salmon and avocado followed by salmon fishcake. My starter - a rabbit and ham terrine - was delicious but I had ordered the Sunday roast - beef with all the trimmings, which was probably a mistake in what is basically a French restaurant. The beef and Yorkshire puddings and veg were fine but the roast potatoes were a disappointment. They tasted as if they had been fried, not roasted, tepid, soggy. I'll go back again, though, and choose one of their core menu items which I know to be excellent and enjoy the ambiance and the service.
Enjoyed a most relaxing Sunday roast with both the Chicken and Beef cooked perfectly. Desserts of cheese cake and sticky toffee pudding were equally tasty.
The starters looked as good but breakfast had already been taken so happy with just 2 courses.
The wine list is comprehensive and there are some good quality affordable bottles available, rounded off with an excellent glass of 20 year old port.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and the restaurant was comfortably fully occupied.
Service was efficient, friendly and non intrusive so all in all a lovely experience.
Had a lovely meal in the outside seats - we ate while it was 3°C and the heating is ample, we didn’t need coats. Great food, drink selection isn’t as broad as other bistros but well worth a visit.
Excellent set menu and service. Will be back to try the a la carte!
Not amazing ambiance but it was lockdown eve so not many people around. Service was excellent and very attentive. Starter and pudding were delicious. Main was good but suckling pig wasn't as tender as I hoped.
The last hurragh before lockdown so it was great to go out anywhere. This was a real treat though. My spatchcocked poussin wa a bit big, but the quality was excellent. Great value, nice wine.
The Bistro was wonderful as usual. We visited for the Sunday Roast. My husband had the chicken, I had the beef and both were superb. We’ve been many times, and will continue to go back. It’s a special place.
It felt like I was dining at one of my favourite Paris bistros.
First time here. Great service and food. Three course special is good value. Terrine, lamb and cheese with glass of bubbly - £29.50. Wifey had trio of salmon and then an omelet. My only very small negative was that my roasted veggies needed more cooking and more lamb jus needed on plate. These are tiny things that can be improved. Definitely go back.
A quick solo lunch here delivered two light courses of food in a lovely dining room which looks out over a cobbled courtyard (I would have sat outside if it was warmer)
Charming place and a lovely experience despite Covid restrictions and great food too.
Good lunch well served
Atmosphere good given Covid restrictions
A lovely evening. Food was excellent. Great value for money.
First ever visit to the Bistro and will definitely be returning. Loved our table outside on the cobbles with cover and heaters. Amazing food choice, incredible food and very good value for money in my opinion!
We sat inside by the window, the outside was full and properly distanced, it is a safe place to go. My rabbit and ham terrine was delicious and looked good, I ate it all with a slice of their yummy griddled bread. Then I couldn’t finish my hake with breadcrumb topping though it was gorgeous as were the French mushrooms, green beans and sauté potatoes. We then picked at lemon meringue tart perfectly cooked and the cheeses. All this for £29 each. Oh and a free glass of champagne too.
Great ambience, good service, eat indoors or outside with heaters as we did!
Set menu very good value. With the canopy and heaters outside eating outside was perfectly ok even though ambient temp was only 12 degrees
Very good as usual
We enjoyed our meal at the Bleeding Heart. It was a good three course set menu with a glass of champagne included. The service was excellent.
We had the October special menu; three courses and glass of champagne. Food was exceptional. For £29.99,this was tremendous value. Well done to the team at Bleeding Heart keeping such quality going during these difficult times.
Very good food and service at an excellent price.
Relaxed pleasant atmosphere, very good food and service
Felt almost like life used to be. Lovely traditional bistro. We'll be back.
This was a good experience and delivered on its promise
Excellent food in a quiet location, easy to get to (3 minutes walk from Farringdon station). Would definitely recommend.
