First time to Black Hide and what a great restaurant. An excellent wine selection and delicious entree’s were the highlights. The service and staff were also excellent and would highly recommend. Look forward to going their again.
Disappointing service! Female called Sir on 3 occasions, entree missed. Have been plenty of times and this was very out of character for this venue.
Best scallops We’ve ever had. Seafood was amazing. Also had kingfish and bugs.
Food was very disappointing and was discussed with waiter.
Expensive but excellent food and great service. Would highly recommend.
Wine by the glass extremely poor selection and quality. Not in keeping with its parent restaurant or what this restaurant aspires to.
Staff were responsive to a Gluten free request even though it was on the menu as GF. The meal was beautifully presented and very tasty.
As a frequent patron to the dining at the Casino we were excited for the opening of this restaurant. On arrival staff were friendly and every guest was greeted. Great atmosphere with a dark stylish tone. Unfortunately from here our waitress asked if we wanted a drink and then that was about it for the rest of the night. Other tables got the menu explained and specials read out. Another waitress heard us trying to work the steak options out and came to help us. Ordered Calamari to start was very tough, crumbed pieces for $21+ it was sad that the ones you get from the market are so much better and $9 a cone. The fennel salad it came with though was delicious, I would have loved that by itself. For mains the fat roasted potatoes were old and on the cold side, however BEST STEAK EVER. Beautifully cooked and seasoned, would highly recommend eating here just for their steaks.
The service was excellent and the food way beyond our expectation. Black Hide never disappoint me whenever I visit the restaurant.
Overall a fantastic experience. Food was amazing and service was outstanding. We highly recommend the meatballs to start with.
Had a party of 11 and each and every one had a fabulous time enjoying beautifully cooked and presented meals. Service was top class and overall got a very big tick from all.
We celebrated my 70th birthday while staying at Treasury Hotel. Wonderful meal - absolutely glorious steak. The atmosphere on the night was brilliant. We wil have no hestitation returning with friends in the new year.
Simply everything was outstanding. Service was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic and decor was fitted with quality furnishings and looked very nice.
Food was also spot on, steak was perfect and was one of the best I've had anywhere. Could not be more pleased that I went here. I also went again the following day and booked again on my last day in Brisbane.
Not the cheapest but worth the price for the service and food
Perfectly cooked steaks, medium rare wagyu 5+ ribeye and eye fillet (which even kids got for their kids' meal - v impressed!). Service was attentive; slight dessert hiccough was smoothly rectified. Great for special dinners. Will definitely return.
Food was beautiful and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Food quality very good. Bar service a bit slow.
Service was exceptional. Although we didn't have dessert I did see anything special on the menu compared to the main meals. Staff were friendly and very attentive. We returned after attending a function recently because we thought the food and service was exceptional and were not disappointed with what we had. Good for a special occasion. Thanks
Despite receiving a confirmation email after booking online, when we arrived at the restaurant they had no record of the booking and had to make room for us. The waiter who was looking after us disappeared after we had ordered the wine and had our first glass. After that we had to ask whoever was passing for more wine which, although $100 for the bottle, was fairly ordinary. Side dishes were also ordinary. Steaks, however, were excellent. We waited for our dessert orders to be taken but eventually gave up and left. The poor service might have been excusable if they had been rushed off their feet but it was a Wednesday night and fairly quiet. All up we paid close to $300 for two excellent steaks, ordinary wine and sides and poor service. Not good value in my book.
Have been to both Blackhides now. This time was for my 30th. Amazing food, quick service and well looked after. Will be back again
Very enjoyable meal with high quality products. Have been many times with others and look forward to returning soon. A couple of suggestions to improve the experience. The lighting could be a little brighter as I found it challenging to read the menu. Also the addition of a chicken meal and more seafood would give the diner more menu options. My wife only drinks moscato wine and there was none on the drinks list.
The staff were exceptional! Food perfectly prepared! Atmosphere was amazing! 10 out of 10
Atmosphere was poor, restaurant was extremely cold . Food was poor, Oysters had sand in them , the gnocchi was average . Both steaks cooked well , but worth $60 ( no) sides where average for $9 , veg over cooked and under seasoned .
Very disappointed, we got the oysters taken of the bill as you would expect , however they didn’t seem interested in receiving feedback .
Good food and service. Not as upmarket as expected for the price range
Whilst in the casino Black Hide is not a typical casino restaurant. Sitting on the corner of the main building there are some nice views across the river to Southbank. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Even though there was a full seating our meals came out in good time, and were delicious. Entries were a Burrata cheese and fig, light and not filling, and some scallops as the other. We hade the 9 wagu and the 5 wagu, with some nice vegetables sides that were not the normal steamed yuck often served up. The steaks were great, melt your mouth, and rich creamy flavour.
Overall lovely for a special occasion. Not for steak luddites given the prices. Vegans should avoid, this is not a place for you.
By far the best restaurant experience of my life. Amazing views, delicious food and the staff were incredibly accomodating.
Entree Scallops were amazing and main course Angus Eye Fillet was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the desserts weren’t up to the same standard. Service was very good. Very noisy restaurant and hard to hear the waiter.
Absolutely love this restaurant. This is our second time
Very enjoyable evening
Service was amazing but unfortunately the quality of the food didn't match the quality of the service. When you go to a specialist steak house and order an expensive steak you want to get something a bit better than a pan fried steak I could of cooked at home myself.
Excellent quality of food. Easy access. Superior service.
Food very nice and delicious but steaks ridiculously expensive.
Beautiful food, but new menu not as good for non steak eaters
Arguably the best steak I've ever eaten. Sides were excellent. Pleasant unobtrusive surrounds and service. I loved the idea of having the casino parking tab validated. We'll e back soon.
Great atmosphere. We were told the table we were sitting was popular as it overlooks Southbank and has nice sunset colors too. Good food, especially the chocolate, passionfruit, macadamia desert. The waitress was attentive and service was prompt too.
Phenomenal steak as always, cooked to perfection. Flavors on point
We had our anniversary dinner at Black Hide Treasury Brisbane and enjoyed the atmosphere and cosy table we were given the wait staff were attentive and happy and we enjoyed our steak meal which was cooked to our liking
After our meal was finished the waitress and head woman told us they made a dessert as a surprise for our anniversary this was very nice touch and came with a sparkler on top
Thank you for your attention to detail and the lovely dinner
1st time here and would definitely recommend. We were celebrating our anniversary and they surprised us with a after dinner sorbet that read happy anniversary, twas a lovely surprise to end the night on. I had the beef ribs and they were delicious and tender, would have it again. Thank you for a lovely night.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food was overpriced, bland and underseasoned. There were only 3 Pinot Gris on the wine list ... one of which was affordable. The other 2 were Italian with a huge price attached. We were visiting Brisbane and decided to dine at this restaurant based on the 'glowing' reviews. We were so disappointed. This establishment treats only the wealthy with respect!
Outstanding service, attention to detail and truly outstanding dinner. This restaurant deserves the chef hat!
No section waiters meant we had 5 waiters approach us to take our drink order in 7 mins. And apparently you don't have Aperol according one of the waiters. "Strictly wants on the menu only" i was told.
Oysters was presented on top of a bed of ice, however half of the ice was melted which meant that the oysters had sunk and all were filled with water. Seems like the oysters were shucked and prepped before dinner service and were kept in the fridge.
Calamari was excellent - on point.
Sirloin 5+ was under cooked.
Partner's Eye Fillet will perfectly cooked.
At this price point i'm very disappointed with the overall experience.
