We had a lovely time celebrating our daughter's 19th birthday on January Saturday 9th.
It had to be an outdoor dinner because of the pandemic but with a good coat on and their warmers we weren't cold and we really enjoyed the whole experience!
We loved the pan seared foie gras with a Port reduction, it was perfectly made!
Duck Cassoulet was formidable, so was the rainbow trout, and confit de canard!
Very happy! We will go back!
Considering we were seated outside during the winter due to bureaucratic mandate (thanks, global pandemic) the experience was absolutely outstanding. The staff did an excellent job and maintained a high standard, despite the imposed hardships. And everything was delicious, as always!
Not the first visit to Bistro Lepic and it certainly will not be my last!
Food and service are fantastic. One of the few places that makes unquestionably the best, dry Grey Goose martini.
She had the escargot appetizer and the calf liver entre. I had the French onion soup and the cassoulet. We shared a half bottle of Chateauneuf du pape wine...spectacular and espresso to top it all off.
We’ve been here a few time and it never disappoints if you are looking for classic French cuisine, look no further. Also, we need to look for places who offer a gluten free menu because of an allergy and not only is their menu very gluten free friendly, but the staff was very knowledgeable. Can’t wait to go back.
Drink, appetizer, soup, entree and dessert were delicious. Also delicious bread and butter and fine service!
Perfect in every way.
It is always a pleasure to dine here. We were able to eat outside due to the warm evening. The service was excellent as usual and the food was delicious!
They had excellent food, service and ambiance-can't wait to have their beef bourguignon again!
Our anniversary! It was great.
Had a fantastic dinner Tuesday night. Love the almond trout!!
Highly recommended m!
The wine, food and service is always excellent and, despite the Covid situation the restaurant has kept that standard. Thank you to all for a most enjoyable evening.
Tried the outdoor/“streatery” for the first time, and it was very charming. Pretty patio with heat lamps, lights and potted greenery.
Beyond expectations! The food was truly delicious, from starter to dessert (and I’m French!).
I have dined outside at Bistrot Lepic three times recently and each experience has been extremely enjoyable. The food and service are impeccable and their wine list is excellent with great value.
Bistro lepic is one of the most reliable and good French restaurant in DC. not too expensive and great service.
we love Bistrot Lepick; the food is fabulous and the service courteous and efficient. They offer an excellent wine list and we simply never had a disappointing meal there.
The service and food were outstanding! My husband and I asked the waitress for her recommendations and they were on point! We had the squash soup, filet entree, and the meringue dessert.
We sat outside in their seating area and had a great night! This is one of our favorite places to eat! 😀
My wife and I went out to dinner for the first time (without kids) since we arrived back in the US approx 8 months ago. I came across this restaurant while searching online. It reminded me of places we had eaten at while we lived in Europe. We had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and engaging, the food was terrific and the wine selection was excellent. We even had a nice discussion with Cyrille, the managing partner of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we look forward to returning soon!
We ate in their space in the parking lane in front of the restaurant. It was surprisingly pleasant, even with traffic moving by at 6 pm. Food was wonderful as always.
So glad that this Top of the Line, French restaurant is open to allowable capacity!
From the martinis to the espresso and desserts it was sensational. Our party of four was amazed at the authenticity of the French dishes, presentation and service.
Bistro Lepic is a Washington institution. Sitting outside near the street makes it feel like you are in Paris. The definitely is on the level of France's best restaurants. I highly recommend the Duck Confit.
Bistrot Lepic is a neighborhood favorite of ours. Food is always great and service is responsive and attentive. Cyril Brenac, the owner of Lepic and its sister restaurant, La Picquette in Glover Park, is charming and wonderful. I highly recommend both restaurants for a low-key dinner with family or friends, or a special occasion. They will take good care of you.
My favorite place for a quiet dinner with friends. Food is always so delicious and service friendly but efficient. The outdoor patio was a delightful place to dine. Looking forward to having another delightful evening at Bistrot Lepic soon.
The food, drinks and service were excellent as usual. For many years this restaurant has maintained a high standard.
Our thanks to all.
The food and wine was excellent but the service and friendliness of the staff even better! Very enjoyable and entertaining dinner. Thank You
If not for the blue awning, you might pass right by this comfy, quaint hidden gem without ever knowing it exists. Upon entering you are greeted by friendly staff. As you approach your table, aromas from kitchen are you first introduction to their resident master of French comfort food, Chef de Cuisine Jean Baptiste Massala. I have eaten here many times and have yet to discover a weak link in M. Massala’s menu, but my favorite dish by far is the veal cheeks. The servers can assist with the perfect wine paring. Make sure you show up hungry so you have room for appetizers and dessert.
This unpretentious institution of flavor is my favorite restaurant in DC and absolutely one of the best on the east coast. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.
The food (menu and specials) are top notch and represent great bistro food. The service is fabulous as is the wine list.
Bistro Lepic is my go to bistro. They have a huge menu and everything is executed flawlessly. I highly recommend it!
We loved our dinner there: great atmosphere, tasty food, friendly servers..we'll definitely be back.
We had dinner last week and had a wonderful evening. Food as good as it has always been, and we felt super safe. Tables spaced out nicely and all staff was masked. Lovely and quiet.
It's time to return to indoor dining, and Bistrot Lepic has made the appropriate adjustments to table spacing. We were so glad to again enjoy some of our favorite dishes (starting with the best French bread in town!), including the tournadoes of beef for my husband, and a special that night for me -- coq au vin. This is a dish I love but I rarely find this old classic. It did not disappoint. Rich flavor, tender chicken and vegetables in a marvelous wine sauce. Mmmmm...! I urge other fans of French cuisine to return soon and enjoy attentive service, delicious food, and air conditioning!
It was a pleasure to welcome Bistro Lepic back into our lives. Dining there Friday 3 July, was truly a delightful experience after being without great French food since mid-March due to the COVID closures. Drinks were expertly crafted, wine list is perfect with excellent prices on half-bottles, salads, appetizers and entrees were prepared and seasoned to perfection. The service, was as before, top-shelf! I shall return.
It's definitely the best restaurant in Washington DC, and No matter what you order, the food is better than you expected!!
This is a must-visit in Washington DC.
A perfection, a comfort: a pleasure
Just what we were looking for for a birthday dinner. Delicious food and good service. We could actually carry on a conversation through out dinner. We’ll definitely be returning sooner rather than later.
One of my favorite bistros in DC. I had shad roe and it was fabulous. My friend had the cassoulet, an old standby. We sat upstairs at a table in the wine bar. I prefer the downstairs dining room but upstairs was also nice. The noise level is lower downstairs but in both places, you can carry on a conversation without having to shout. The food here is always excellent and the prices are very reasonable. Service is terrific. It's a great neighborhood place.
This was to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Just wonderful!! The food is always perfect here and the service and everyone involved with this place are magnificent!! Very attentive, polite, but also low key. So great!! We have made this our new tradition for her birthday, third year in a row...
We ate early, at 5:30, to get to a concert afterwards. It was quiet and pleasant. The trout was delicious and so was the Sancerre. We shared a pear tart for dessert--yum. Nice, friendly service.
My companion and I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent cuisine and service. Perfect environment for a quiet romantic outing .
Such good food! Always dependable and delicious!
We ate at Bistrot Lepic last Sunday night for the first time in well over a year. The meal was just excellent. The onion tart with bacon was a delight. The veal chop and osso bucco (a special that night) were among the best veal dishes I can recall eating--both were large and beautifully seasoned. The full-bodied French Bordeaux wine was a good match for the veal and a bargain at $65 (at restaurant prices). The apple tart and ice cream were merely very good, but they were a good ending to the meal.
Excellent service and ambiance. We will be coming back to Bistrot Lepic soon.
