Bistro Sociale
Went on a saturday night, easy to get a booking and seemed to be a quite night. Unfortunately the food took an hour to come out however it was delicious when it came.
Unfortunately the food was nothing to write home about. Substantial amount of food given the price per head. Cheesy love songs, cliche valentines hits on repeat. Booking process was difficult given trouble with phone lines. Wouldn’t rush back.
Limited menu but food was good. Service ok but had to wait a long time for desserts & coffee bought before desserts...not good.
What a great place this turned out to be … OMG the house cooked bread with the hay smoked butter… delicious. My pork cutlet & my husbands rib eye were cooked perfectly. Thank you Chef. Our waitress engaged with us, which was lovely as we were not just another customer and our host/manager of the restaurant was very welcoming, very knowledgeable about the produce that was cooked in the kitchen & certainly had great bar skills and made an awesome Negroni.
Would definitely go back, especially for the bread & butter.
Great food at a great price the wine list showcases local Highlands vineyards. The staff are lovely with a sense of humour and the restaurant space is stylish bistro style. Highly recommend for a casual dinner without stuffiness.
