Bistro Seven Three
Bistro Seven Three has a little bit of everything. For those looking only for a light soup and salad, the baby arugula salad is always a good selection. For some fresh seafood, Bistro Seven Three delivers as well with dishes like the sesame seared ahi tuna. You really can't go wrong with any selection, as you can count on your food being cooked to order with only the freshest of ingredients.
Bistro Seven Three is a fine dining restaurant that has a great ambiance suitable for almost any type of gathering. It is popular with the lunch crowd, with many a family being gathered for dinner there every evening.
we've been here many times....always outstanding in all aspects
It was a lovely evening. The main dining room was louder, but we sat outside were it was more intimate and quiet. Staff was attentive without being underfoot.
Didn’t know there was no liquor license, portion size (esp salmon) was small for price. Food quality was excellent. We eat out a lot and are happy to pay, felt that the food offering wasn’t up to other restaurants in the area. Won’t be back probably.
Another wonderful meal at Bistro Seven Three! Bonnie greeted us by name and we were seated right away and had a delicious Father’s dinner. Excellent service, delicious food! Our home away from home.
Lovely birthday dinner in lovely atmosphere. Delicious food and attentive staff. BYOB and enjoy!
Great food they should order their bread from Balthazar
I would recommend that someone give it another try as I've heard that it's a terrific place. I believe they were over extended and could not manage the number of reservations they committed to the night we went.
Love the owners! Amazing food and service! Our favorite restaurant in Bernardsville!!!!
All of us had specials which were outstanding. Main course took a little while to come out after finishing appetizer but that was the only minor blemish.
Food took forever to come out. Waiter disappeared after taking our order.
Ate on the patio for the first time and everything was good as always! They continue to nail it on all areas! Best in the area!
Server very nice, but the "be back in 2 minutes to take your order" was over 15 minutes, and we had to get his attention to place orders.
Took way too long to receive apps, and then entrees.
The apps (zucchini special and onion tort) were very good.
The shrimp special entree was very good.
The pappardelle with braised chicken was devoid of any real flavor. It was not really bad, just bland.
We were outside, and by 9:30 it was a little dark for our liking, but that is personal preference.
We were very happy with our meals. Filling but not too heavy and quality food. Cooked well. The service was good. We sat outside and it was a beautiful evening towards the end the mosquitoes started to come out. Overall happy and will be back.
First time there, very nice place. Will go back soon!
On top of our all time favorite restaurants. Food is terrific, consistently and there are a lot of great specials. Service is great. Ambiance is comfortable. Outdoor patio has been a splendid addition! Highly recommend.
Had a lovely evening with girlfriends sitting out on the patio. We all kept commenting how we felt we were dining al fresco in Europe! The food was excellent and the level of service was outstanding! We all had the Salmon Tartare as appetizer which we all raved about! Would highly recommend!!
Staff was the best part. Food was just average... Zucchini chip special was quite greasy. Short rib sauce was tomato forward. I would have preferred a classic red wine reduction. Sides lacked seasoning.
Not sure I would recommend Bistro 73 to a friend anymore.
The food was unimpressive, not sure if it was just one time occurrence, or there is a new chef. I used to like the food very much in the past.
Always a great evening with exceptional meals and go to restaurant.
Good food, noisy restaurant.
Terrific menu and excellent food preparation and presentation.
All good as per usual
The food at Bistro is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere and decor has a simple elegance and the staff are friendly and welcoming. All the above has been consistantly whether it has been lunch or dinner.
This was a spur of the moment reservation and it was a wonderful experience. The food, service and ambience made the meal fantastic I definitely recommend Bistro Seven Three
My husband's birthday went so well because of Bistro 73 and the staff. They were attentive, made great recommendations and every one of our guests loved their meals and apps. BYOB doesn't hurt either. My family has had baptism, Communion, 40th birthday parties here. Always a good experience.
The mushroom bisque is outstanding. I hope they eventually include it in their permanent dinner menu.
Always outstanding food. Service is excellent. Love the staff. Family run, great local eatery.
Warm friendly welcome from owner and manager, and similarly with the staff. Food was excellent - Osso Bucco.
The food was wonderful as was our waiter who provided us with homemade limoncello!
We enjoyed our delicious dinner but were a bit annoyed by the noise level in this favorite home-town restaurant. This is not the place for a romantic dinner - we were literally shouting across the table (even as small as it was) and had to read each others lips for the first half of dinner. As a few tables cleared out we were able to enjoy the second half. Love the food and will definitely come back for lunch or a weeknight dinner and avoid the crowds!
I enjoy going to Bistro 73. It’s consistently excellent - especially the service. The one negative on the night we dined was the noise level. There was a large table of women with very loud voices. Nothing much to be done about that.
We are always pleased with the food and the service.
Great BYOB restaurant even on a Saturday night! Which these days is hard to find. Many specials in addition to a very good regular menu. Service is outstanding including wine which usually BYOB misses the mark on Bistro doesn’t!
Consistently good and reliable, with good-to-great service. The space is "tight" on the weekends, which lends energy but deducts privacy for conversation. Menu is of reasonable breadth, with "specials" insert, and verbal 'fresh and available' additions. Fresh pastas are frequent, and always a delicious bonus. Fresh fish likewise. My wife and I started with shared plate of their mussels, which are always clean, fresh, briny, moderately rich/buttery, with just enough garlic. Really good. We then shared the chopped salad - also always good, though we thought the portion was a little light, even though we shared. We both had the branzino special, which was well-cooked and seasoned, but a little drier than typical given the smaller size of the fillets. It was still quite satisfying, though i would like to see the option of a whole shared fillet or whole fish - which i think the fine chefs/owner could accomodate well. The polenta creme that accompanied was lovely, if a little light. Value was really good, given that we brought our own. It was a lovely evening, with attentive but not obtrusive service, and well above average food quality and good value. We are not regular, given the distance, but we'll be back. Again.
It had been a while since we had been to Bistro Seven Three but this last visit definitely has us wanting to come back again and again. Right from the start everything was great, the servers were attentive and able to answer any questions. They also give you so many complimentary treats along the way, from an amuse bouche after ordering to a cookie and limoncello shot while you wait for the check. We also enjoyed everything we ate, absolutely delicious! We started with the Eggplant and Burrata and the Fried Calamari, both amazing. Then for dinner, I had the Tuna Tartare and my fiance got the Veal Chop Parmagiana. Again, no complaints from us, we cleaned our plates. We shared the Warm Chocolate Cake for dessert, what an amazing way to end the meal. It was a little hard to get our servers attention at the end of the meal to get the check but we were also in a rush to get to a movie so that could have been why we felt like it took a while. All in all it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time and such a great value! We both had appetizers, entrees, cappuccinos and shared a dessert all for right around $100.00. Perfect date night and we will definitely be back
Love this spot! Food and service are always great. Perfect place for everyday dinners or special occasions, you can really make it as fancy or casual as you want! Such a great atmosphere!
Food and service are always consistently excellent. Never disappointed at Bistro 73
The food was outstanding, which is why we went back. For the quality of the food and the menu, it’s among the best. It is not surprising this restaurant is so popular. Definitely a gem when it comes to the meal. While we had everything we needed at all times and everything served was timed well, I still wasn’t crazy about the service. The wait staff commanded too much attention. For example, they got the table to stop talking immediately when they wanted out attention. When they were ready for us to leave, they were very demonstrative about it. I would have like to have had a little softer handling.
If you are looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the place. It is very loud, but we knew that going in and just planned an early dinner to avoid the noise. Overall the place is quite a find.
This is our "go to" restaurant. Always a great meal and wonderful service.
Great food and service! Well worth the trip.
