Bistro Guillaume - Sydney
There are better options for a French Bistro in the CBD. Especially for what you are charged here. And our table service was laughable: slow and riddled with errors.
Beautiful food and excellent service what more can you ask for but obviously it costs a premium........
We had a great night out! Lovely staff and beautiful food!
My all time favourite restaurant. Everything is always on point. My husband and I love the food, the service and i especially love the music playing in the background...so romantic.
Such a beautiful, sophisticated setting with food and service to match. Never disappoints!
Excellent service and food. Enjoyable and highly recommend this restaurant.
We had steak frites and although the quality of steak was OK (although not served very hot), the chips were overcooked and the bearnaise sauce was more of a mayonnaise consistency. At nearly $50 for each dish, this felt like not enough care was taken. The service was excellent, although the backing music seemed inappropriate for the ambiance. I have previously eaten here and the food was exceptional, but based on this experience, it is difficult to recommend the restaurant.
This is the fourth time I have dined, and have loved it every time. Chef was in the house which was amazing to see as well. The food was beautiful, we left very satisfied and I can’t wait to go again
First time at Bistro Guillaume and we all loved it. Great food, great drinks — every dish that walked by us that we hadn’t ordered we had FOMO about. Will definitely return!
Simply the best dining experience. I was transported to la belle France and the best that has to offer.
Amazing service, decadent food and an enjoyable atmosphere for our team Christmas lunch. It was a very special experience!
Delicious French food with decent-sized helpings!
Delicious food, poor service.
I really liked this restaurant, but the service was not very good. The waiter was not friendly and quite inattentive. It was like he was imitating what he thinks a French waiter would be like, but in reality French waiters are quite friendly. Also, he kept saying "Finito" to ask us if we were finished. I'm not sure if he realizes that's Italian and not French...
I recommend this restaurant for the food, but don't expect much for service.
Group booking for end of year team Christmas event.
The food/atmosphere was great, however the guests waiting 50 mins to order their food. Understanding it's a busy time of year, 50 mins seems extremely long to order, especially if the lunch period is only 2 hours.
Steak tartare is just perfect. As always with Guillaume, flavours are just absolutely perfect.
Steak tartare, chicken liver pate, confit of duck were good. My pork loin chop was a bit dry and IMO overdone. On two occasions our waiter brought the wrong dish to our table.
Excellent lunch venue with delicious food and great selection of wine. Perfect place for a meal with family, friends or business colleagues. We felt extremely well looked after and the service was relaxed and unobtrusive.
Was here during the week to celebrate my brother’s graduation. Second time for lunch and was not disappointed. Food is excellent!
Fabulous place couldn’t fault a single thing would Defo return in the future
6 friends enjoyed dinner at Bistro Guillaume on a Saturday evening. This was a special outing to wind up the year and we expected to pay more than at the usual local "cheap and cheerful" restaurants.
The service was excellent, efficient without being obtrusive. Entrees were generous although quite expensive. All 6 of us enjoyed our main meals...steak, ocean trout, barramundi, chicken and duck, all served with interesting accompaniments, and we added broccolini and cauliflower sides.
The passionfruit souffle dessert is highly recommended !
As a fan of Guillaume Brahimi I was so looking forward to dining at Bistro Guillaume. I was not disappointed. The waitstaff were brilliant, my meal was absolutely scrumptious & my beer was perfectly chilled. Well done to you all.
Awesome food and service. Would have preferred softer background music, ideally french
everything was okay, the service staff could be more attentive.
The food was amazing. However, when I booked a table I made a note that we have anniversary. Haven’t received anything (as I know, usually you write down “happy anniversary” on a dessert plate). Also, the service was just ok. No one smiled or asked how was our experience. When we were leaving no one cared as well (didn’t say goodbye or anything else)
The service and food made for an amazing lunch. I will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!
Food and table service were very good but tables are small and they are placed too close together. I made a booking but the guy at the reception could not find it straight away, he had no greeting, no smile or apology which gives a very bad first impression. Not finding a booking straight away would be acceptable if he addressed me by name with a smile and a quick apology.
Absolute fabulous food & service. All staff attentive, professional & friendly. We will dine there again.
We had an 8p booking and entered a busy dining room. We were left to sit a long while before someone came by and we could ask for a wine menu. Service was a bit slow throughout the evening.
The soufflé was by far the best part of the meal. The pork was thick and slightly undercooked plus was served without a serrated knife making cutting difficult.
Overall the experience did not meet our expectations. I’m sorry to say that it will take a big change to bring us back.
Service let down the overall experience, which was otherwise excellent.
Whether in Sydney or in Perth, Bistro Guillaume is always outstanding!
It was a quiet night, not so busy. Highly recommended for a casual & relax dinner night, with some good food.
Always consistently excellent. The service is professional and exemplary, and the food is always worthy of the highest accolades it repeatedly earns. And extremely well priced compared to other similar venues.
Lovely food, wine and service. It's a shame that happy hour customers hung around and were very disruptive, almost spoiling our evening.
The waitstaff were attentive & efficient. The food was delicious. Just like dining at a bistro in France. We will definitely be booking again whenever we are in Sydney.
Could not eat the main course. Totally over salted.
The meal was on my birthday which was the day we arrived in Sydney for a week holiday. I had the entree of chicken liver parfait. That night I came down with Campylabacta Jjuni. This I feel could have only been caused by this food.
Completely ruined my holiday.
A delightful venue for 'Let's Do Lunch'. We enjoyed our birthday celebration in a room that evoke a real French bistro feeling.
Thank you. Will be back.
Food and service were amazing. I would definitely come back. Thank you for making my birthday lunch so memorable
