Can not fault anything from the food to the service... food was outstanding and generous portions and the waiter we had was wonderful, friendly and attentive.
Entrees were great - Tomato soup with crab
Mains - a bit disappointed with flavour of fish - very strong and overshadowed accompaniment.
Same with pork belly but lacking flavour and the accompaniment, especially the corn, this time overshadowed pork
Food was well presented and enjoyed by all however; service on the evening was a little disappointing.
It was delightful in every way - presentation and quality of food thank you.............
We had a very pleasant evening, celebrating early mother’s day. This was the second time we had dinner there and we will definitely go back again. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing.
Very pleasant setting for special occasions.
After a previous great experience we went back for a special occasion. This time the food was very disappointing. The onion soup, usually my fav, was just a clump of onion in a broth. The real concern was the Wagyu for 2 - plate costing $165. Beef was nice, potatoes dry& tasteless, the salad terrible, limp& extremely salty. The waitress didn’t handle salad complaint well, she bordered on rude, never followed up or offered another salad. It tasted like the food had been prepped hours earlier ☹️
The perfect dining experience
A most pleasant experience from start to finish. We were greeted and made welcome with a warm friendly smile and this level of warmth continued throughout our Lunch by all who waited on us. The meals were well presented, tasty and came in a timely manner which were preceded by a request to confirm we were happy for the next course. A particularly lovelly and unexpected touch was the "Happy Anniversary" message, in Chocolate on our Desert Plate. Certainly I would recommend the Bistro Guillaume.
meat too hart to eat
This is an excellent restaurant with superb food and very good service. We would thoroughly recommend this venue for special occasions. Only criticism of food would be not enough jus with the duck breast. Our table location was also excellent at the windows with a good view of the outdoor Pool area.
The food was really good here. My husband and I visited to celebrate for our wedding anniversary. We had the duck and braised pork shoulder. The wait staff seemed confused with which tables they were serving. I think the manager was supposed to be ours. We had to ask to order more drinks, ask to order our food and then waited half an hour to order dessert. In the end, we got impatient and left. It wasn’t even a busy night so it was really disappointing.
Nice ambience with an excellent menu typical of French cuisine. Our first visit and we will be back!
Generally our meals where ok, however my wifes dish of Veal Shank left more to be desired. Dry and tasted odd, sauce was not nice at all.
This was a revisit and unfortunately did not live up to the previous occasion.
Wait time from arrival to being served with "bread" was nearly 20 mins.
Entree chosen was "sold out". A Main meal(steak) had to be returned - however replacement was good but this should not have happened in a first class restaurant.
I was expecting to be impressed but was disappointed. The main meals were not at the high level we were expecting. The Kingfish had to be sent back as it was raw and the Duck was far too salty.
It was very average (sorry not special at all). When the restaurant first opened it was fantastic and became a firm favourite. However, this visit was disappointing and underwhelming. Service was hap hazard and swung between very good and very poor. (Plenty of staff and only two thirds full). Taste wise I couldn't fault the food but it was luke warm, which was a let down.
Loved our dinner at Guillaume! My mr steak came out m, and when I told the waiter, he handled it beautifully, even offering to redo my husband’s meal (which was perfect) so they’d be served at the same time. The second steak was still closer to m but to be fair to the chef they were on the thinner side so hard to get perfectly medium rare. And absolutely delicious, as were the sides and sauces. My husbands lamb rigatoni had far more lamb than expected and was delicious! Overall, VERY impressed!
Was very disappointed, the website stated $55 2 Course show meals until 29th June. Our waiter told us that these were not available. Waiter wasn't very helpful, the food was lovely but service was terrible
Nicely cooked food with just the right amount on the plate. The sauce for the sirloin would be better served in a small gravy boat as there was not enough on the steak to last the dish through.
Bistro Guillaume is a favourite with my wife and I and our friends. The food is always spot on and well priced. We have been may times and will continue to do so.
Loved the food and always enjoyable
Comfortable, pleasant, relaxed.
Fantastic meal for my wife's birthday. Food was delicious and service was first class. Will visit again for the next significant celebration.
Overall I had a lovely time, but the initial service by the person at the front door was terrible. We arrived 30 minutes early, and were abruptly told so. He then proceeded to tell me he needed to check if there was a table available. There were 9 empty tables I could see from the front door. We were graciously allowed in, and served by three genuinely lovely people but the initial meeting really put me off the entire evening.
We had a dinner for our wedding anniversary on 26th April. We have order a bottle of WA red wine and a slow cooked lamb shoulder with potatoes and salad for 2 people. Lamb was absolutely amazing and could easily feed 3 people. Just to break a taboo that French portions are very small - they are not and its an excellent value for money. Food was great and service was excellent. We had a pleasure to meet Anil , a very nice guy who made this evening even more special. He was very helpful.10 out 10
Very nice meal, service impeccable, good wine.
We very much enjoyed our lunch here. The food is very French Brasserie apart from the slightly strange addition of pasta dishes which I've rarely seen in a French Brasserie (maybe there for the kids?). The service was outstanding and the delivery well paced to allow for a lovely relaxed time. The overall atmosphere was also very enjoyable and relaxing
I always enjoy my visit to Bistro Guillaume; the food is always thoroughly enjoyable; Normally request to have a table overlooking the pool area which is nearly always provided. A big plus for me also is that it is not too noisy and staff always friendly and efficient.
Brilliant food, drinks, service and ambience
A great range of dishes to keep anyone happy. Fast, polite and cheerful wait staff. BEAUTIFULLY prepared and tasting foods. I am a seafood maniac, and the barramundi was the best I have ever had- it is very hard to prepare moist, flaky fish flesh on the inside of the piece, but have a crust on the outside that was crisp and seasoned to perfection! Nice atmosphere and prices were very acceptable for a high quality venue. I'm just miffed that I missed seeing the entrée escargot dish - next time!
The content in this review site does not allow for any negative choices. Not a true review site!!!
The food was tasty and service excellent.
The wine list had no sweet whites or late picked verdello.
On the menu one of the dishes was "Veal shank with brussel sprouts" (among other things). In this case it would not be unreasonable to expect some brussel sprouts. All my wife got were 4 outer leaves (the ones we normally discard)arranged decoratively on the plate
We had the $55 Ultimate Lunch menu. Was good value and it was a good way for my teenagers to try something different without them wasting food.
Good service, lovely setting, food ok. It didn't match the cost. Onion soup disappointing, food ok but wouldn't rave. We were there for a special occasion and the service good but the food just not that great.
The service was excellent very friendly and welcoming and very relaxed. The food was delicious and we highly recommend it.
Service was ok. I asked for a glass of prosecco and was told this was a French restaurant and I felt slightly silly then for asking for an Italian wine. The alternative sparkling wine I was offered was an Australian wine!!
Other than that service was a bit delayed once parties arrived for afternoon tea. Definitely felt a little ignored.
Too much garnish on the venison carpaccio starter.
Very accommodating and pleasant to our son. The kids meal was great quality and value.
My husband and I went for our anniversary it was the most amazing meal we have had, the pork was melt in your mouth and hubby had the steak which was to die for. We were lucky enough to be spoilt by Rob with an anniversary desert plate Portion size were perfect and walked out feeling full and happy. Just a suggestion we were sat next to another couple and behind us was a group of 10 they were quite loud so would be nice that groups of diners be put in the same area and smaller groups in an area.
Booking was easy. Staff very welcoming and relaxed whilst being attentive at all times. Our meal was delicious - we had the duck and steak as mains and both were well prepared and succulent. Oysters and chicken parift for entree - both very nice.
3 of us shared a meal last night, for a celebration. French food is my favourite cuisine and this didn’t disappoint. Traditional with a twist is what you get, and it’s done very well. Only negative was the price which was about double you would pay in a bistro in France. Recommended if money isn’t an issue.
The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Excellent service always ready to pour water or take away plates etc. We had the Duck and the Pork as mains both were cooked to perfection.
The dessert was the wonderful creme brulee and the strawberry souffle. Will be going again to just have the souffle again. The watermelon cocktail just perfect too. We had a lovely view of the pool.
will visit this restuarant again
