Bistro Guillaume - Crown Perth Ratings and Reviews
We were seated under an air-conditioning vent and were freezing all night. We asked to be moved but got told the restaurant was booked out. There were plenty of tables (6-8) that we could see, that had no-one at them for the entire time we were there - disappointing.. When are restaurant staff going to get with the program and give preference to those customers who are actually IN their restaurant, rather than treat them like second citizens for those who are yet to arrive (and often don't ever)
Tried the entree and main $50 special, were one of the first tables to arrive for dinner as we were seeing a show afterwards. Both dishes took along time to come out. The entree was onion soup, tasted very rich. The mains were pink snapper and mushroom risotto. I was shocked to see two small pieces of snapper sitting on the plate with a few capers sprinkled over the top. No sauce, seasoning to have with it. Was cold, overcooked and very dry. The risotto was just average also.
I enjoyed an evening with my friends before hitting the casino. It was lovely. Food fabulous. They make the best Ratatouille ever. Views over the pool were lovely. We were visited regularly by the waiters at just the right level without being bombarded or rushed. Two of us had birthdays that month and when we ordered dessert, they remembered which of us had birthdays. I will visit them often. Only problem is that they have two evening sitting times and I'd rather start in between.
Apart from limited dining times available, (you cannot eat at 7:00 PM as they have 2 sittings, first sitting finished at 7:30.) Everything else was perfect. 6 family members dined and we all enjoyed every morsel. All entrees and mains were amazing, we each shared our dishes with each other so we could taste all. The snails were delicious, smoked salmon so fresh, pate and cheese soufflé amazing. The crab linguine, Chateau Briand, Toothfish, Rigatoni with lamb. All equal best dish.
We had the Ultimate Lunch here which was two courses for $50 or three for $70 with a glass of sparkling. The service was terrific, the food was delicious, the presentation of the food was beautiful and great value. We all had the smoked salmon entree which was fantastic. Then we all had different mains but everyone very much enjoyed what they had. Two guests had dessert which they both loved and the presentation was spectacular.
We decided to go to lunch at the last moment, whilst enjoying a staycation at the Crown Towers. We were able to get a booking easily, and we loved the experience.
I was concerned that my partner would be left hungry as is often the case in fine dining, but we were very satisfied with both the quality and the quantity of our meal.
We had a lovely night overlooking the pool area. The food was nice although a little more description of the meals would've been better. My entree cold soup, (although delicious), read as Gazpacho with marron.
The cocktails were expertly made and the service was very nice. The ambient lighting and furniture was in keeping with the French bistro feel.
We went as wanted to do something special for our 30th wedding anniversary (we don't normally do upmarket places) As I once read a review that it was the best roast chicken ever. And it was better than the review the chicken was fantastic best I have ever tasted the Paris mash was also very good.Finished it off with a very good coffee with Petit fours also good. Will certainly not wait until our next 30 year anniversary will be back soon, Fabulous
This was my 2nd evening meal at Bistro Guillaume . My friend and I went for The Ultimate Dinner last night and we were both very happy with the menu , the food , our wine and the service . We ordered different entrees but both chose the same main .
We received 1st class treatment .
We dine every year for our anniversary, as we had our reception there.. menu is lovely but would be nice to see some new dishe. Service was disappointing, had to ask for cutlery for our mains I ordered steak and no steak knife offered. Had to ask for another glass of wine to have with our main meal. When your paying top prices you expect good service, we had at least 4 different people serving our table very disorganised.
The food was beautiful, could not fault it. The only down side was the coffee. To be able to finish your night with a lovely coffee would have been fabulous, I ordered a long black and a cappuccino, I couldn't drink the long black very bitter I left it full. The cappuccino was just drinkable.
