Chef Arie, inspired by his Cypriot heritage, formal training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and his years working under Two Star Michelin Chef Philippe Da Silva in Provence, presents cuisine reflective of this coastal style. Longtime customers can still indulge in his classic dishes such as escargot, striped bass with champagne truffle sauce and his own dry aged steaks. Of course Chef Arie’s menu will include many mouthwatering vegan and vegetarian dishes driven by altering his favorite recipes for his vegetarian wife.
The caring owners and staff were extremely welcoming to us . It was our first visit and the food was outstanding and well presented .
This bistro has a great vibe and we will certainly be back and highly recommend it to friends and readers .
Always spectacular!!! We had the cacio e pepe, duck breast (main) and veal. All delicious. Pink grapefruit cocktail with rosemary vodka was also unique and very yummy as well! Ambiance is nice without being pretentious or stuffy. We plan to go back soon.
Amazing halibut special with caviar champagne sauce, I would return every week just for that dish!
So glad they are back from their winter break. Great food as always and Jake provided excellent service. Thank you for another great dinner.
A super special dinner Valentines Day. Arguably, the most delicious, satisfying meal in months. Incredible escargot, halibut with champagne truffle sauce, and a scrumptious chocolate dessert.
As always a great dinner out. Love this place. Even after being closed for winter break, first night open, holiday, super busy.....food and service was on point. A definitely gem and one of our special go to places
Very nice ambience
Always excellent, from craft cocktails through dessert. Warm and gracious service in a great space, we love it here!
Always a delightful and welcoming atmosphere.
Personal attention given by the staff and proprietor.
My guest was a first timer.Loved it and looks forward to returning.
As I always do.
Delightful evening with personal attention from the chef/owner. The food, as usual, was superb. Pasta with fresh truffle shaved at the table, halibut with caviar in a champagne sauce were both delicious with deep umami. Good wine selection at reasonable prices. Informal and enjoyable.
We have been to Bistro Ete many times and the restaurant never disappoints. My husband started with a special bourbon drink mixed with fresh clementine juice which was original and outstanding. The cauliflower & onion soups were amazing( we even bought the restaurant's soup cookbook). We had halibut with a truffle cream sauce and an entree of Peconic Bay scallops and an order of fried artichoke hearts. It was a divine, delicious dinner from start to finish. Chef Arie and his wife Liz are warm, hospitable owners.
Always a great dinner here. Liz and Arie do a wonderful job and it shows in the food and the standard of service.
As always, our favorite restaurant. It was our wedding anniversary and the dinner was wonderful, topped off by a bottle of champagne on the house!
A talented & down to earth Chef. I ordered their “mocktail” which is prepared with a lemongrass plant in the restaurant. It was so delicious & wild!!! This menu is purist. The sprouts were beyond delicious with a Cyprus cheese and house made tahini and Saba (ask how Chef makes this!) For my entree I couldn’t help but order my fave vegan paella. My husband had truffle martini to start (yes an actual cocktail!) He ordered white truffle on pappardelle then a decadent veal osso bucco with white truffles shaved everywhere. Bravo Chef!
What a great bistro!! Terrific food, great cocktails, fabulous aosphere
Food and menu choices were really good and reflected the season's best....the staff was welcoming & competent all in a very attractive space. Will certainly return in the Spring...
Service great !
Presentation great !
Restaurant weeks menu selection outstanding!
Steak frites average!
Will definitely go back!
The food was delicious and the service was great. I especially loved the beautiful ice cubes they served with the water. They were filled with herbs and fruits. It was a really nice touch.
My fiancé & I love Bistro Ere. We brought my parents here for their first time which was also LI Restaurant Week. Everything from food to service was perfect as usual.
Always amazing food and service.
The food was awful. The foi gras was expensive and the portion ridiculously small. The escargot had some unrecognizable flavor added to the butter. The fondue was salty! So very very disappointing.
Wonderful, inventive food and cocktails.
The best chef in the Hamptons.
Great owner hosts
One dish better than the next
Can’t wait to return
One of the East End’s finest restaurants! Totally unpretentious, absolutely delicious, warm and welcoming. Chef Arie Pavlou is classically trained and creative but not fussy. Service is attentive and friendly under the watchful eye of Chef’s wife Liz. Worth the drive to Water Mill!
Always a treat
Bugs and George loved their biscuits! Thank you,
Wonderful restaurant, awesome menu, excellent service, highly recommend.
The hostess is welcoming and cheerful, and also quite knowledgeable about wines. Our waiter was skillful and eager to please. The food is exceptional. What could be bad? Even the parking is plentiful.
This quaint French med bistro delivers on all fronts. Husband and wife team are hospitable and lovely. Would highly recommended the foie octo braised chicken and many more
I thought the food was well done with a nod to modern interpretation. We had the short rib in cream sauce that was rich and flavorful. I would go back again
Amazingly creative food in a great atmosphere. Highly recommended for interesting foodies.
We were served overcooked duck confit and too much pepper in the cacio Pepe. It almost seemed to be done purposely. A $200.00 bill for poor at best food.
Enjoyed everything about the restaurant. I had called to inquire about GF dessert options as it was our daughters bday and she can’t have gluten. Hostess & staff were extremely accommodating. Food was delicious and everyone cleaned their plate. Loved that they had Stoli Elite for martinis. Special soft shell crabs were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend
Once again a wonderful dinner. They were very accommodating 2 extra people in our party(even though they cancelled last minute-so sorry). Food was delicious and great service. Thank you!
Tough to imagine a better place to spend a Saturday night on the South Fork. Started with a warm welcome from hostess Liz and a spicy margarita at the bar. Grilled octopus was perfect - crispy and tender, and soft shell crabs were best I had all summer. Finished with the homemade mint iced cream. Wow. Just wow.
Food was delicious as usual! Thank you Liz and Chef Arie!
Consistently excellent food and service in a relaxing environment
This is quite the special spot in the Hamptons.
Continues to deliver an outstanding creative dining experience.
Chef Arie and Liz are experienced seasoned restauranteurs,
Always exit feeling contentment.
