Bistro 25 East
We have been visiting Bistro 25 East over the past over the past few years, and have never been disappointed. The food and staff are exceptional, and the patrons at the bar are friendly and good for a laugh.
Good food and service. Menu has changed now that there is a new chef.
Great meal as usual. This was our second visit and although the had replaced a couple of the entrees on the menu, all was great. Wanted the lamb shank but they offered a veal dish. Ended up with a very good stuffed pork chop. Great service.
Always happy to relax at bistro25 east
Not bad but better options in the area.
Great atmosphere and awesome food- each dish from apps-soups-salad and entree was excellent. Well crafted drinks as well. This is our new “go to” place.
We went to dinner for Valentines Day as a group of four. The host was very friendly and updated us on the status of our table. We grabbed drinks as we waited , bartender was attentive and drinks were great. We were seated and this is where is went wrong. We waited for 20 minutes without any service ! Several times we made eye contact with two servers and they seemed very confused as to who had our table. No drink orders or anything. I understand a few minutes but 20?! Not acceptable. Eventually a server came over .. She didn’t discuss the specials and was very short with us. She didn’t come during dinner for drinks refills or clear off empties etc. My husband asked for another beer and she forgot it until the end of the meal. They brought out chocolate covered strawberries but never even asked if we wanted dessert which we did. We will never come back here which is a complete shame because the food was phenomenal. Unacceptable.
Very nice Valentine’s Day dinner . Music was a nice touch
Excellent! I highly recommend Bistro 25 East!!! Everything was perfect!
Very bad dining experience. Not what we are used to from this restaurant or the original in Sayville. We were served an undercooked (basically 1/2raw) pork chop, spinach salad (supposedly with bacon....bacon bits), chicken on the salad was lukewarm, and lukewarm crab cake, no bottled water available, beer offerings (in this day and age) pretty much non-existent with none on tap and they only had 1 of 2 bottles that were on the menu. Why would u run out of bottled beer, it’s bottled???!! Really, really bad. Now I know why we were the only ones in the restaurant at 7pm. Avoid. There are too many good alternatives in the area for this place to survive.
I was very impressed with the service. The manager saw me struggling with the menus and lent me his cell phone flashlight as well as letting me know of an app I could use. Then the night got even better. I eat out with clients very often but the service here was a step above. It was so coordinated how the servers, the bus folks and the waiters worked together. Absolutely seamless! In addition, the food was fantastic. I hope that anyone reading this gives Bistro 25 a try. Amazing and I will be back!!! Thank you Marty and your team. Very impressed!
This is a hidden gem. The food was fresh and well prepared, very delicious. The service was on point. Overall an excellent experience.
Great meal. Love this place.
This was the fourth time there and have always had a great experience but this time the food wasn’t as good. Waitress was great. Thai Calamari is always our favorite to get but was too tough. Roasted chicken was cold and a bit rubbery. Salmon and shrimp scampi was not very tasty. Gelato was fantastic though. Hopefully it was an off night for the chef.
Drinks were weak, food was just ok. Hubby had the lamb shank and barely ate it I had the steak over mashed potatoes with fried onion straws and vegetables. The steak was tough and tasteless everything on the plate wasn’t that bad
Nice place, the food was very good.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service
Delicious, fresh food, great selection from small plates to dinners. Attentive professional service. Love this place!
Great atmosphere-food and service. Awesome place will be back with friends
Great local restaurant Good food and ambiance. Service terrific. They change their menu by the season. Give it a shot if you haven’t already. You won’t be sorry.
We've been to this restaurant before and it was excellent, however, it was New Years Eve, the place was mobbed, they were out of most dishes and the food we did have was terrible. I will give them a pass because of the holiday so I expect our next visit will return to the previous good experience we remember.
Was our first time here and it was New Years Eve. Taking into consideration that it was New Years Eve I still have to say that myself and my party were extremely disappointed. In addition to having to wait to be seated which seemed forever even having a reservation the place seemed as if they were not prepared for the night. In my opinion they did not have enough staff for the volume. By the time we finally got our food after having been told that 2 of the entrees on the menu that we preferred were no longer available I was no longer even interested in eating. I as some of my other party had to settle for another entree that personally i was not in the mood for. I do have to say that our waiter was trying his best but it was just too much. They needed more staff especially because it was New Years Eve. Due to the long wait our first round of drinks was on the house but even that just did not make up for the issues with the menu. I would consider trying the restaurant again but definitely not on any holiday.
Awesome meal and service. Can’t wait to go back
Ate here for Christmas Eve dinner. Food and service was excellent.
Christmas Eve with family. Owner Matt was great!
Food is always good at Bistro 25 East, but both my boyfriend's and my portion was very small. Still a good place.
Food had no flavor. I had the beet salad, I thought I'd like it but it tasted nothing like the one I had at Stella Trattoria in Blue Point which was awesome. The pork chop was okay, it came with brussel sprouts which was amazing, I could have eaten more. I would have loved to have tried the calamari but it was listed under small plates and was afraid I wouldn't get the avg portion when ordering an appetizer and for $12, wasn't worth the risk. The menu did not offer appetizers. Our waitress was nice however never came back to ask how everything was or if we needed a refill of water or more bread. I had a local flavor coupon which I spent $15 to get $30 worth of food but sadly even if I had another coupon I doubt I'd go back.
Pleasant surprise, good service and food. Only draw back is limited wine selection. Will go back !
Cute neighborhood spot with a lively bar and nice dining area. French onion soup was very good along with the wings. Will he back!
Bartender is friendly and welcoming. Service was great.
Great menu !!!! Food was fantastic!!! Service on point !!!
Great food and service. Fun night at Bistro 25 East!
First time there was very impressed with food and service. My wife and I were looking for a new place to try and we were very happy with our new find .....I would highly recommend this establishment.
Good menu, good food, good service.
This isn't the first time we've eaten here. In fact, it's our new go-to place for dinner. The place is classy, drinks are excellent, and the food is delicious.
Our waitress was the best!!!
Took a friend out to dinner during restaurant week. We both got the steak frites and cheesecake which was so tasty and filling. I also got the chicken wantons which look so small when they come out but they were delicious!
