Wonderfully themed place to eat. The food was delicious and served fast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The setting felt comfortable and had a cosy feel to it. The prices for the dishes were a bit on the steep side. I would say it was a pleasant experience.

Birdsong provided the perfect setting for my wife’s 55th birthday celebrations. A nice quiet dinner, with impeccable service and a beautiful atmosphere. Our party of three had three different mains and three different desserts - all were of excellent quality. We would definitely return to Birdsong when in Hobart. Highly recommended.

We had dinner with my toddler. The staff were so nice and offered my toddler a colouring book and colours. This kept him occupied until the food arrived. They ensured his food came first so he could start eating. The food was delicious. They were able to cater for our toddler’s dairy free allergen and offered us different choices. The staff always checked in on us to see how everything is good. Very respectful and friendly staff. The food is always delicious here. This was my second visit to the restaurant and would definitely go back. Entree we had pizzarie (hope I spelt it correct) Mains: salmon and lamb shoulder Kid menu: spaghetti bolognese Dessert: can’t remember the names. Would definitely give the food 8/10

The food was great. We had the Blue Eye Trevalla and an Asian squid bowl. I asked for a side salad with the squid bowl and our server substituted an Asian dressing used on a specialty salad. It was all awesome!

The squid was perfectly cooked, buttery and amazing. Dumplings where fresh and delicious. I had the pork ribs, these were amazing. Staff brought out a bowl for the bones and a finger bowl, very thoughtful. The potato’s did need a sauce of some type with them. My partner had the eye fillet and asked for medium rare, it came out very over cooked (no pink, no juice), we still ate it but was disappointing. Had some cocktails afterwards which where fantastic. The girl who served us was wonderful and attentive, cleared plates very quickly, wasn’t intrusive or anything. We had the place to ourselves so it really made our date romantic and very high end feeling, coincidence I know, but staff not standing around hovering or anything just made everything that much more special.

Amazing customer service and amazing food. The slow cooked lamb shoulder was mouth watering no need for a knife, so tender. I would definitely recommend this place.
