Market Lunch is available from Monday to Saturday (£19/21 for 2/3 courses), a la Carte menu available for Dinner ( £45.00 3/courses or £37 2/courses), and a slow Sunday lunch service from 12.30 to 7.00pm (£38.00 3/courses). Afternoon Tea is offered daily (3.30pm to 5.30pm)
Wonderful food and service - the only downside was the noise party downstairs and a rather rowdy late night bar crowd which arrived 1030ish. This aside, awesome and we’ll be back.
This is one of our favourite special goto restaurants. The food is always good and the service impeccable. while the attire is smart casual with jeans being perfectly acceptable, I was just a little disappointed to see gents in shorts.
No complaints. Lovely food, wine, service and dining room. Quite quiet on a bank holiday Monday. Will try dinner next time.
Like the new redesign and style - much more relaxed
Easter Monday, and we were given fantastic seats on the terrace in the sun, overlooking the river, which was fantastic. Service was attentive, especially as we arrived early and it was quieter. Food was amazing - three courses and really good value. My only criticism is that once dessert was done, we were asked to move outside to the downstairs terrace where there was a man painting the floor and no other guests, so felt a little pushed out, after such a fab lunch. We were told we could stay at the table by one waiter, but something else by the second waiter. However, would still come back again.
For my sisters birthday. She has a fluent intolerance and it was her bday the service and food were outstanding. Thank you
Location first, we got to sit on the terrace on a February lunchtime - it was glorious. The staff were very friendly and personable. The food was beautifully presented, but not wow. There was a very very long time between courses - and I like a slow lunch, but it was a little too slow. I don't know if we were forgotten or if it is usually that slow or if they were overwhelmed. The meal was fine but expensive. In Richmond there are some great foodie alternatives so we won't hurry back.
Have been to the Bingham Riverhouse and always had a good time - it was our ‘go-to’ when having friends and family to visit.
My friend was visiting and had been previously and enjoyed it so I suggested we go there again. The food was delicious as usual but unfortunately we had a disappointing experience when it came to the service we received from 2 members of staff.
Firstly, after being given the menu, we were asked every couple of minutes whether we were ready to order. Appreciate it was a Saturday afternoon, but the restaurant did not fill up in the time we were there, and I did not feel that we were taking up an unreasonable amount of time before ordering.
Secondly, I ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail as I am a non-drinker, however when I tried my drink, it had an alcoholic taste and I felt the effects of alcohol.
When I mentioned this to a waitress, a colleague of hers came over and explained at length how there was definitely no alcohol. I explained to him that I could definitely feel the effect of alcohol but he kept insisting there was none and repeated this over and over until my friend and I felt slightly uncomfortable.
In the end I said I disagreed, but wanted to just get back to lunch. To his credit, he did ask if I wanted an alternative drink which I declined, but my original drink wasn’t taken off the bill despite the fact that I had only had a small sip before I spoke to the staff (and it was taken away so I couldn’t have finished it or given it to my friend if I had wanted!).
We didn’t even get a chance to ask for the bill (approx £92 for 2 people) as it was unceremoniously dumped on us as we were finishing dessert. We wanted to order coffee but weren’t even asked or given an opportunity to.
Disappointing as the food and refurb are top notch but the unusually bad service from a couple of staff members let it down this time and means the 12.5% SC was unwarranted!
Pre dinner drinks into the bar are lovely and Food is acceptable but not special and needs feels a bit like corners are being cut to keep cost down. One tiny morsel of aranchini does not qualify as an amuse bouche.
Birthday dinner for my husband x
Not bad but should have been better. £38 for a set 3 course Sunday lunch raises expectations. Admittedly far better value than £36 for 2. Our vegetarian daughter had no choice at starter and main— that now feels out of date. And surely three should be a white meat and red meat choice as well as a fish as main these days...
The risotto was good, but again too many restaurants think a risotto will do for vegetarians. Where is the inventive use of a range of vegetables in a dish not relying on rice?
The traditional beef main was delicious... but nothing here was memorable.
Location is great. We’ll maybe give it another chance next Summer when the outdoor tables overlooking the river might justify the cost...
You will feel very much looked after in lovely surroundings, excellent food, cocktails and wine.
A very enjoyable afternoon was had by all - such a lovely location accompanied by great food and service. The place was buzzing when we went so best not to look at the clock!
Lovely venue and location but surely it’s not too much to ask to be actually fed when you go to a restaurant?
Although the food was of a good standard and well presented, if you are going to serve children’s portions (no exaggeration) without an option for any sides then you can’t act all surprised at your guests’ stony faced response when the waitress merrily blames their hunger on only having two courses instead of three!
Either eat before you go or treat it as a snack - otherwise you may also be disappointed.
Excellent food and cocktails, but even more special was the service. A full team of
people who take pride in their work make you feel welcome and cared for. What a wonderful experience.
Delightful, comfortable small hotel with delicious food.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and had a 3 course menus that was delicious and great value for money. Very kind service and private atmosphere!
Tasting menu was superb. And they even swapped one of the courses for my pregnant wife as it contained rare beef.
The tasting menu with wine flight was fantastic. Great service and catered for my dairy allergy with ease.
The view is lovely. The food, however, was not to my liking. The duck was overlooked and the artichoke salad was merely ok. My wife had the pork which also was just ok.
Fabulous food as good as Chez Bruce/The Glasshouse. Lovely service and great ambience. Perfect for my husband's birthday and our anniversary.
Location and decor is wonderful
not a lot of parking options close to hotel
Lunch on the terrace overlooking the river Thames, but you wouldn't believe you were in London. Delicious food, lovely service - couldn't fault it and our guest plans to return, so she was impressed too.
Lovely food in a beautiful setting and the lunch menu was great value
Attractive dining room, good view, good food, service good apart from one inexperienced member of staff. A place for a special occasion, but quite expensive. Proseccos, three courses, one bottle of wine and service was £300 for four.
Excellent food and service.
We had a Saturday lunch with friends.
The setting is fantastic. Beautifully renovated classic building with lovely surrounding by the Richmond river.
Service was v. good. My disappointment was a small menu (choice of 3 courses ) and very very small portions.
Although the taste was good we all seems a bit let down by the size of the dishes.
Also watch out for weddings venues as we could not use the terrace at all. Which was one of the reason for booking this venue in the 1st place. So that was a disappointment too.
Fine dining at a very reasonable cost if you choose the Market Lunch menu with matching wines. Excellent food, fine wine and helpful service.
Lunch on Easter Monday for the extended family; only the set menu was offered but every attender found something they liked and enjoyed what the kitchen produced. Interestingly, everybody finished all of their food , which is rare for those family members renowned for their bird-like appetites but indicates the portion sizes were sensible and that they enjoyed what they were eating. Can't really ask for more !
Fabulous meal. Issue with the booking. WE arrived early for a drink and when it came to sit down were told the table was not free? 40 mins later the table still wasn’t free. Presumably the table we booked was given away and no one from the bar told the restaurant we had arrived. I told reception we had arrived. Not great.
Went there with the children for my husbands birthday. We had a fabulous time and felt well looked after. Food was incredibly good and not overly expensive.
All very good laid back grown up dining, if u burn a lot of calories, then take advantage of a the free bread, and butter. It's is really nice food, but, the tasting menus needs a larger anchor portion, with a good portion of green beans or something. I'did order the Brie on toast, £8.50 extra on the tasting menu, not good value. Wines and bar faboulus, great for date night, I would go back!
This is a wonderful place and never disappoints. The attention from the service crew is next to none. I can't wait for my next visit.
Really nice dining experience and staff were nice, polite and helpful.
As usual very good. Definitely worth going to if in the area
A superb spot for a relaxed business meeting, close to the airport
Had a delicious and fun lunch. Food was delicious and really good value at £25 for the set menu. Highly recommend.
Great place for a long lunch on Sunday. The restaurant opens at 1230pm only, but we arrived early and made good use of the gin-menu around the fireplace in the bar. The food is outstanding and the hake was especially good. The Bingham has a well stocked wine list as well. Service is very attentive but never assertive. Overall a wonderful meal. The restaurant also has parking opposite their location and this makes for an even easier planning when visiting.
Having had a good meal on a Wednesday previously we looked forward to enjoying a Saturday dinner. The service was dreadfully slow from the initial aperitif and throughout the meal. When we asked about one course we were told "there is no rush sir...the kitchen is busy". The food was adequate but there are better restaurants in the area at this price point.
