Dined here for Sunday lunch. Four of us decided to order from the brunch menu. The food was outstanding, absolutely delicious. Had some desert to finish which also was very nice. The beer was reasonably priced and the coffee spot on. The only negative was it was a bit noisy when we first walked in but after a few tables left it did quieten down a bit. It is casual so dressing up is not required. Overall we all enjoyed the dining experience and we would recommend.
A lovely little restaurant with a creative menu. Great friendly service. They had run out of a few of their sides when we were there and so I marked them down for that but the food we did have was very nice. You are a bit packed in so if you find the conversation at the next table more interesting it is easy to join in theirs!
Wow what a great little place! Elizabeth/Queen St Croydon has so much to offer and Billy’s Table is right up at the top IMO... Had the lunch special for $15 = great value and delicious. Will be back
Pizza was absolutely amazing, beautiful quiet spot perfect for a date night or catch up with friends in Croydon. Beautiful 48 hour fermented pizza dough - my husband is a pizza conisseur and he loved it! Paella was really delicious but could've done with a bit more flavour, rice and seafood were cooked beautiful. Wonderful service waitress and owner/chef? Very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return!
I had been wanting to visit Elizabeth St Croydon for ages and was very glad I made the effort
I loved the whole concept and the staff were really friendly and service really good.
The only comment I would make is I think (in my humble opinion) that the oven is too hot hence lamb a bit dry and the pizza looked a bit too charred
I would like you to take this as a constructive comment
Most people don't come back! I certainly intend to as I loved the whole concept! Good luck
A little hidden gem in the heart of Elizabeth Street! Everything we ordered was tasty, generous and really good value. The only thing I commented on was that the lamb was a bit fatty for my taste, but very tasty none the less. Well worth a visit and great for families
Upon arriving, it was noisey & no one offered to take a drink order. After a long period of time I got the waiters attention & we asked for him to take our drink & food orders. After repeating our orders multiple times, he still returned again multiple times to check our order. When our food came out my husband’s meal did not arrive so we asked where it was & were told “the kitchen didn’t get the order”... so it was made & came after everyone else had finished. Our waiter seemed rushed, panicked & lacking confidence. The food was delicious overall however the duck was a little dry. Our night was spoilt by the lack of service & attention to detail.
Noisy bit cool vibe casual place to eat. Recommended to go but disappointed. Meals came out at different times. Many people ordered the lamb half was fat and meat was tough. Looked like just fat on a plate. Flavours were good.
Excellent food, cool little location.... Will definitely return!
We booked for two at 7:00pm. We arrived on time. The 2 very young and obviously inexperienced front of house staff struggled to deal with the fact that they had no table for us. So we reluctantly sat outside in the cold. Resigning ourselves to the fact that we would be dining outdoors (despite being under dressed for such an activity) we waited and waited and waited some more. Over 30 mins would pass before I decided to venture inside to see if I might be able to order a bottle of wine. Strangely I was told to go back to my seat and that the waiter will be out shortly. I was having none of this and asked if we could just have a bottle of the Clare valley rose. I sat back down and waited for another 10 mins until one of the young waiters arrived with 3/4 of a bottle of the wine I ordered and ONE glass. After a few minutes of some confusion we were told that it was the last of that wine and asked if we would like to buy it at a reduced price. This was the last straw and we decided to go elsewhere.
I feel very sad for those two poor young employees. They clearly had no training and or support.
My question is this.... why bother to be a part of an online booking platform when you pay no attention to it????
Why were those two young girls left to run a busy restaurant unsupervised???
How can you not notice from the kitchen that one of the very small number of tables is sitting unattended by your staff??
We ended up going to another local western suburbs restaurant.
Great value for the tasty food. Was looking forward to the chicken but went for the duck instead, which was tasty. The drinks are reasonably priced. A delight to have so close to home. Want my first time and won't be the last.
We had lambshank, which was not fall off the bone, and Chateau Briand steak which was excellent. All the desserts are really good
We were told our reservation was ‘lost’ despite receiving email confirmation. We were seated outside, and the heater was out of gas. After waiting 20 minutes for our order to be taken I went inside to order. 3 of the menu items weren’t available. All of our dishes can separately despite wanting to share all our plates. When I went inside to check on our wine after 30mins we were told there wasn’t any left.
The eggplant dish was nice but the pork belly was not as described. It was over cooked and dry and was missing the apple described in the menu. The chicken was under seasoned and lacking in flavour. The poor, inattentive service combined with the awful food made for one of the worst dinner experiences ever. I love to support local business but I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We will certainly be back.... speaking to other patrons at the restaurant they suggested lunch was well worth a visit.
Well done guys !!!!
Service could be quicker and more attentive. Food was good!
Most expensive potatoes (wedges) i have ever bought $12 for a handful of potatoes very unreasonable
The waitress was very caring and was willing to assist my wife and I with our son in numerous ways. The food was delicious and we had a pleasant night out. Billy's Table continues to be the best restaurant I have been to.
Brilliant food great service and very reasonably priced - definitely going again
Loved the new menu..
No complaints, we r croydon peeps and love Billy’s table
Recommendation; u need a lower priced red for those nights when locals just wanna great meal and value bevy
Apart from the fact that food service finished at 8.30pm (on a Friday), it was great! Interesting menu and wines, generous serves and friendly, efficient service.
The food is absolutely amazing! I especially loved the woodfired flatbread with goats cheese, the warm garlic hummus on the generous share platter was super yum, and the pizzas and desserts were amazing. Everyone loved what they had. A lovely cosy restaurant and great service too.
Food was lovely, and the wait staff was fantastic but my friend had finished her main course before my main course came out. We had both ordered pizzas as main courses and they arrived on the 30 mins apart. Its not very a very enjoyable night when youre forced to eat at different times to those on your table.
Excellent food, every dish was incredible. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would absolutely recommend!
Fantastic tasting menu with excellent selection of drinks
A cold night, restaurant was cold ceiling fan on high ?? door open ... we were freezing ! Had to ask for fan off and door to be closed. Please create a more warm and inviting space especially in winter! Two waitresses for 3 tables but dirty plates, glasses sat piled on our table. Had to ask for desert, bill which then took forever in the end just went to counter to finalise. Ceviche was too cured, beans and cauliflower too charred chicken quite nice .
The idea and space are there but Bill needs to sort the front of house and make some tweaks in the kitchen and the people will come as we really want something like this in the area!
Food was very yummy- GF pizza base was one of the best I had ever tasted and lots of other GF options.
The desserts were to die for- brownie and pav we’re delicious!!
One of the best meals to be had in a long time - not pretentious just wonderful flavors , and generous - thank you Michael and lovely wait staff
Lovely rustic environment and food. Good staff. Had run out of coffee and limited wines to choose from, but if these are rectified, it would be 5 star all the way.
very pleasant experience. Food was very good - bread absolutely fabulous with dip. Interesting and very reasonably priced wine list. Will definitely be going again.
We enjoyed our first dining experience at Billy’s Table, which is a stones throw from our house. They have a comprehensive menu with plenty of options to chose from and we enjoyed the wine selection as well. This place is worth the effort if you want to come to the west 👍🏻
Food was absolutely amazing - delicious, fresh and thoughtful. A delight to find a variety of vegan friendly options that did not lack the flavour and range of the non vegan.
Can’t fault anything.
Everything was great, food, wine, service and vibe.
Amazing food and atmosphere, very attentive staff was a lovely evening. Love the online booking system
Fantastic food, great family venue. Really enjoyed the experience.
What a great find is Billy's Table and just a short walk from home. A truly local restaurant with friendly staff which make you feel like you're at their place for dinner. The cauliflower is not to be missed! Charred and seasoned so well with a perfect hazelnut and almond sauce! Yum! In fact all the vegetable dishes are taste sensations! The desserts were to die for and the presentation was fabulous. Well done Billy, we will definitely be back.
Food was delicious! Great to be able to choose toppings for kids pizzas to keep everyone happy. A bit tricky to manage share plates for the adults plus kids on small tables but looking forward to coming back to try the banquet kid free. Great to have a dinner venue back on queen street!
