Billie H. Ratings and Reviews
We are from Geraldton and it was first date night away together from our 3 year old son. We wanted somewhere nice with soft ambience , different cuisine, but not too tossy. The food was creative, healthy and diverse, the wine list complimentary and the service excellent.
Read the reviews but we weren't quite sure what to expect. The place was certainly buzzing on a Thursday night (late night shopping) and actually quite noisy. Once the bloke and I retreated outside, though, peace was restored and we were able to appreciate the attractive setting and decor. The host was affable, charming and knowledgeable and the dishes he recommended utterly decadent and delicious, as was the wine. All in all, a most agreeable experience and we will certainly be back soon.
It was the noisiest restaurant I have ever been to. Even if you're not there to have some chats the noise is just annoying and spoilt the evening. The food while is quite out of the ordinary, is not something one would rave about. Would I go back again? No. It is just not the place for an enjoyable evening over food.
My most highly rated Resturant around at the moment.
Fresh ingredients always.
Wine list of quality and not overpriced.
Staff is always friendly and efficient without being annoying.
I have not anything to complain about...it is busy and a little noisy.
Which creates a pleasant ambience.
Billie H's food is fantastic -- always delicious, always innovative.
The waiter recognised us from our lunch there several months ago, even remembering some of the dishes we ordered. Her service is perfect: recommending things, filling glasses, but not being obtrusive; and her smile is dazzling and genuine.
Love the fact the kitchen is run by a woman who refuses to allow any of the traditionally accepted male bullying and bad behavior in her domain.
All the staff seem happy.
Beautiful tulips on the tables an added bonus.
See you again very soon.
Great food, wine, atmosphere and service.
It would have been awesome had it not been for a couple of inconsiderate idiots at the next table but not something the staff could really do anything about.
That said, a thoroughly enjoyable evening ... I will definitely be back!
It was refreshing to experience such quality food presented and cooked with care but no pretension .
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly ,a little problem with the noise of a crowded lunch time but settled as we stayed a long time .
thank you for making a special celebration memorable .
Great food, a little pricey, interesting wines, a bit dark and noisy. Instead of serving us oysters which they decided were not perfect, they told us and asked us to choose something else. The kingfish carpaccio replacement was very tasty, but for all that effort with the dish there was not much fish so some of the tasty accompaniment was wasted.
Food was good but not amazing and over priced for what you get. For example, Fremantle sardines (it's plural) on sprouted grain loaf was $17, which is fine but it was one fillet which we had to fight over. More like loaf with a fish that swam by. $19 for mushrooms. I shouldn't have been surprised Perth tapas menus always gouge your wallet. A very esoteric wine list — the Italian Pinot Nero was very good.
The food was great - tasty, refreshing and with excellent flavours. The service was attentive. The wine list was extensive but extremely expensive. The number of Western Australian wines seemed limited but also expensive.
The music was too loud. Our two teenage guests volunteered this comment without prompting.
