Big Moe's Diner
At Big Moe’s we are not called BIG for no reason. We offer the best in taste and quantity till the stomach is content, with the finest tasting luscious steaks and burgers grilled to homemade perfection.
Big Moe’s offers a great setting with all the bells and whistles that come with a 1950s theme diner. We are talking about a 1950’s Cadillac, Chevrolet style booth seating, vintage record albums and big juke box players, all of which are iconic features of American diners.
Asides from the memorabilia, our surround audio system playing classic rock and roll hits are bound to put a spring in your feet, and when the food arrives even your taste buds will be doing the twist!
Food was good however plate came through dirty and the service was pretty awful. Particularly 1/2 members of staff that we had to go to the bar to get the attention of and even then they sat on their phones for another 10 minutes before bringing our bill.
Awesome place! Great decor and music too! Menu selection was fab... a very successful birthday outing!
Delicious plenty of delicious food it's halal, very happy about all
Good service from waiter but average food which was a shame
Stylisches Burger-Restaurant, nahe U-Bahn Aldgate East gelegen. Aufmerksamer Service. Abzüge für eiskalte Klimaanlage und schlechte Pommes
My first experience at the Whitechapel branch. The chips were over cocked and weren't steaky/chunky enough. the group ordered mainly chicken but I ordered beef. Very bland no spice no salt just bland. I'll go back to the other branches but not this one I'm afraid. Seats were torn and faded needs replacing. Having said that the staff were excellent and serving with a smile.
Went here for my friends hen do and so glad I choose it fitted in prefectly with the 50s theme. Great food good service and fun atmosphere. I will definitely return.
love big moe's, was expecting a bit of money off after we paid 250 pound, but it's fine. i always go there and i still will go
Me and my girlfriend went for a meal here on 30th March. Was served instantly even though their was a group of rowdy kids that she was also dealing with! She handled it so well and was super cheerful and chatty. We sadly didn’t get her name but she was blonde and was talking to us about her tattoo idea of a fox and a rabbit on her back (I hope you go ahead with it!). We didn’t wait long for food and it was excellent. Not too noisy and great value for money. Will definitely come back again soon!
We had to wait one hour for our food and drinks and they still brought he wrong order. Waiters were not really friendly. Food wasn’t fresh and didn’t have a lot of taste. Very unfortunate because the pictures online are completely different from reality.
We had a lovely meal and a wonderful evening. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
We would definitely come back again and recommend this restaurant.
First and last time I will visit Big Moe’s. Food wasn’t the best, cheesy chips were bland and tasteless, the hotdog was hard and doesn’t seem fresh at all. I wasn’t aware that they even charged service charge too! overpriced and poor quality food.
Good burgers and nice shakes. Staff were great, but as with many places now, could've done with more of them, so service was pretty slow.
Regular to the place perfect for a solo meal and a reunion with friends, compliments to employee Martina always looking after me.
The food was tasty, reasonably priced, good portions!!
Our Waiter Ali was very kind and friendly, more friendly than a lot of the staff. Very helpful and great customer service!! Thanks again Ali!
Service was pretty poor as was the quality of food - I would not go back!
The service was poor from once we came into the restaurant. We sat for about 25/30 mins before asking someone when we was going to attended too. The food then arrived and my burger was RAW. We did complain to the manager at the end when he asked why we didn’t want to pay service charge.
Great decor and good selection of dishes. Everyone enjoyed their meals, especially the milkshakes! Sadly we were too full to try the desserts.
Very nice place with a fifties feeling. Good food and fun place to go to.
Very disappointing. We wanted something quick as we only had a short time available. It took 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive and at least another half an hour for food. The food looked like it had been left standing for ages. Everything was tasteless and overcooked.
Didn’t like the food peri peri chicken was terrible, burgers were well overpriced hardly worth it wings just full of tobasco sauce and vinaiger the smell alone ruined the rest of the food cost 120 for 8 people for that price I was not happy not to mensioned the oily chips
Food was nice but not the warmest (Chips got cold quickly).
Food didn't take long to come out but service for additional drinks and extra sauces, etc. was very poor.
On the plus side the Diner experience is great, authentic seats and decor, and lovely milkshakes.
the sliders were great. Menu is a little burger heavy but it's a Diner after all.
Would go again but with lower expectations
Only good thing was the soda and ice cream float. Don’t waste your money
Incredible decor, good food, great staff. A little pricey but was worth the drive I think.
Great tasting food. But not the supersized american style burgers i was looking for. Also very pricey. Need BIGGER burgers at reasonable price.
We booked as we always walk past and think its a fun novelty american diner and decided to finally go. We asked to be sat in the 'car booth' and they saved that table specifically for us which was great and a nice touch
My second visit. Reserved the table 15 mins before but fortunately it was quiet and were seated straightaway. Food came quickly the chicken wings are AMAZING!! The lady who served us was friendly and made some jokes with us adding to a cool atmosphere. Good value great desserts :)
Dreadful service. Had to ask repeatedly for our missing food via 4 different members of staff. The waiter forgot to put my sons food order in whilst the rest of us got ours. They then did the same thing with deserts and accused us of lying about having ordered them.
When asked to bring over a birthday cake for my daughter whose birthday it was, they didn’t bother to clear the table and decided to bring the cake with candles lit singing happy birthday whist the birthday girl was in the toilet!
Would definitely not visit again, it’s a shame as we really enjoyed the food and have been going there for special occasions for years! It has really deteriorated over the years and the service just gets worse with each visit.
Would definitely never go there again. The most recent visit was the last straw, no wonder the place was half empty on a Friday night when the line used to be hanging out the door!
The food was good, the staff was friendly and the prise was okay for what you got
Great service! Very friendly and helpful staff! Service was immaculate. Will be going again definitely!
Great atmosphere - got to sit in a convertible for lunch. The service was friendly and fast apart from getting the bill at the end. The food was typical American diner with old school American hits playing in the background. Food was good value - not too big but also not little leaving you hungry.
This was my first visit to big mo's and it will not be my last, oh boy, it was heaven on a plate, the staff were great and were happy smiling all the time.
True authentic American diner, I know I've done a few.
Just was not worth the price we paid for. The portion sizes are TOO SMALL. We spent over £70 and none of us were full. We had to eat out and desert somewhere else. For £10, my brother got a burger, a portion of chips, and a few pieces of salad. Kids meals weren't worth the price of 5 pounds either. I mean if you're gonna make the price expensive, at least give food that's worth it.
I'll be completely honest! Food was average, lacking and low quality, place was filthy and would never go back there again. Oh an milkshake was lovely !! I had a peanut butter and banana shake.. yum!
Overpriced, burgers good but the fries were dire. Service was all over the place. Nice decor, great for families.
Food was delicious. We received one meal in out party and had to wait about 10 mins for the other but overall service was good. We will definitely be back when visiting London.
An American diner all round - plenty of burger and chips options, red and white decor, booths. Good fun and friendly staff.
Food was amazing - I was just sad there was so much of it that I couldn't eat dessert! The atmosphere was fantastic, 50's diner style but didn't feel at all tacky. We sat in a huge booth that was dressed up to look like an old-style American car. The menu looked amazing, and when the food came it looked just as good as the pictures - tasted great too! Prices are reasonable for London. It's a really fun place to eat and I'd love to try some of the other things on the menu.
For a diner being American you're expecting the usual American flavor & standards but it had some modifications on a American menu and it was disappointing.
Excellent burgers and shakes. Service was attentive but slightly sporadic.
