BIERA - Ritchie Market
Our experience at Biera was wonderful and would recommend it to anyone for a special and fun night out. There is a vibe and the street noise was a bit much, given that we were seated near the open patio but we could still manage to hear each other. The server was excellent, describing every dish and making suggestions. The ambiance is unlike anything else in the city because of the wide open space and visible brewing taking place simultaneously. A real treat.
Excellent date night spot. Casual yet intimate. Excellent food, small plates are delicious and a little pricey but the quality of the food makes it a nice treat! Obviously, the beer is amazing! the Servers/staff were all so friendly and knowledgable!
The food was incredible. This is a must visit for any “foodie” the ambience was just mostly loud inside the restaurant. The Patio looked as if it would be a great lace to sit on a nice day/night. The service quality was very poor
We had an amazing experience at BIERA. Food was delicious, staff were attentive and knowledgable about the menu and the atmosphere was lively for a Thursday evening. Will definitely be going back.
Not a huge selection of meat selections but the food is deliciously cooked, and their beer is tasty. The whole experience left me wanting to return asap.
The waiting staff were very professional and accommodating. The beer selection was impressive and could satisfy different tastes. The wine selection was very limited and expensive. We had the sourdough bread with butter and lard spreads. The butter was overly salty, but the bread was excellent on its own. We ordered the lobster mushrooms, which were excellent. I’d return just for that dish. Then we had the short ribs: good but with some fatty bits.
Great service with only issue was small food portions for price
Great atmosphere amazing food good service
Very nice change
Best restaurant in the city in my opinion,
Food presentation and flavor is outstanding and love the share factor
Nicely designed facility. All servers were excellent, very committed! Food was great, portions maybe a bit small (ceviche), but fine. Very limited selection for non-beer drinkers. Almost no wine. Aperol cocktail welcomed. Quite loud, expected for the reflective design, not an issue, more lively. Have been to the patio before and it is excellent, great heaters.
Every dish was delicious and was different. Most dishes has fresh salad or vegetable which we enjoyed
Delicious food. We love doing small plates to share a bunch of menu items, and this place was exactly that type. The restaurant is very nice. Beautiful patio as well.
Without a doubt I would recommend Biera! The food was not only inventive but every bite was worth savoring. We were a party of four and although some had preferences between us there was not one dish that anyone said they would not order again or was lack luster. Our only disappoint was dessert. They were out of the doughnuts so we had fig icecream, the marshmallows and one other (sorry I've forgotten which one). None really were special. But it's a quibble after such spectacular fare. They are a beer place so if you are more into wine..the list is short. 3 whites and 3 reds.
Great food, very poor service
The food, location, service, atmosphere - every touchpoint was fantastic. A great way to celebrate my birthday with family and friends!
Food was a disappointment. The chicken was very salty, the Korean short ribs where ok, but nothing special. We ordered the Sourdough appetizer and are still in shock at paying $12.00 for a slice of bread. The service was very good, but I do not feel food justified the price.
Fantastic restaurant- all of the food we ate was amazing
We ordered sourdough followed by steak tartare (which was excellent) not realizing we had more sourdough toast, the short ribs were good and rhubarb dessert was very good. Our experience could have been better without all the sourdough!
The beer was good too.
Weird brewery rules. 10 taps but you can only get 3 on growlers. And then, no growlers, just howlers, just custom howlers provided by Biera themselves. I have lots of glass, don't need more. If you don't want to sell beer in bulk then don't sell it. Don't just make it harder to get.
The share plates where to small given the price - value for money...
Best Steak Tartare in the COUNTRY! What an incredible dinner!
Great place to celebrate my cousin’s 18th birthday - the waitress was especially attentive and kind
Innovative menu, informative staff, unique venue. Most importantly, delicious food and drink! Highly recommended for all occasions
Hipster vibe which isn't my thing. However great service and good food.
Beer was fine. Food tasted good, but the portions of the food was really small for the price that they charge.
It was advertised as for sharing, it was just not much to share at all.
Creative sharing plates and a nice beer list. Limited wine. Food was ok but not as amazing as I would have hoped. Lively, nice patio.
We ordered 7 different types of dishes and they were all amazing. Our party of 6 had no issues with any of the food. It was great
This is a brew pub with outstanding food. All plates are sharing plates, but share away! We were four and we raved about the mushrooms, pork, chicken, ceviche and, well almost every we ate (the donuts were "iffy"). Great beer and simply amazing service. We'll be back without a doubt. The noise grew after 0730 but we're getting on (in our 70's) and it makes it difficult to hear - but then all we were doing was making good sounds about the taste of the food!! Go if you get the chance.
Great food and service. Perfect for a romantic night out.
Great Flavours! The beer was very good as well.
Good eats, good service, very loud making conversation awkward. Had to move our chairs and lean in to hear each other.
It has been difficult to get a reservation here so we were happy to finally get in at a reasonable time on a Saturday evening. The hostess did not even ask if we wanted to sit outside on this lovely evening. That was kind of a disappointment. The sessional ale I had read about wasn't available unfortunately. However, the beer we did order went well with our selections. The morels were amazing and the squid had a very interesting sauce and was perfectly grilled. The risotto was amazing and so unusual. Our little table couldn't have held all 3 dishes at the same time but it would've been nice to be able to have more than one dish at a time. Also, getting our 2nd beer took a long time and our meal was almost over before it arrived. Amazing and creative food but the service was average.
A delicious and trendy eatery in the Richie Market. It's a busy place and reservations are a must. Blind Enthusiasm brewery is on tap and coffee and tea by Tranacend really round out the beverage choices. The food is delicious and the staff are excellent at helping reccomend quantities to order as it's a "sharing style" of eating and you'll want at least a taste of it all! A bit expensive for some plates as the portions can be a bit smaller than you'd want them to be, but the flavors are amazing and will leave you wanting more!
Servers were excellent! Very knowledgeable and friendly. Food was delicious but on the pricer side. Still would go back again.
New favourite place to go, everything was amazing! Great food, service and drinks. Spent two amazing hours there, and can’t wait to go back!
Great spot for any special occasion or anyone looking to try some new food and drink. Highly recommend! Great food, and incredible service.
Food was fantastic and nicely spaced out in it's arriving at the table. Staff were super accommodating to "saving" the patrons off the patio when a storm rolled in and had us seated comfortably inside to finish our feast. Overall a wonderful dining experience!
I dined there with my daughter and her husband, in from Wales. Everything was wonderful. Biera exceeded our expectations. Our compliments to Christine and her staff.
