"It is most certainly a gourmet establishment with a menu from top to bottom that is exquisitely creative with tastes and flavors and choices that make selections so joyously difficult--and with a wine list to match food and pocketbook. Consider this the now best Italian restaurant in the state. Three cheers for Biagio the chef."
"Concealed jewel, but easily accessible off the parkway. Esteemed staff that goes about taking care of your every need, especially the maitre d'. Exceptional menu with meals that make you crave for more. The homemade pasta dishes are unequaled to any place in the state. This is an elite restaurant that I will entertain my family and my business clients at. Head chef will go above and beyond his means for satisfaction of customer."
Good dining spacing, masks in place. Food was good, a little rich, but a good experience. To charge extra for anchovies on a caesar salad is excessive to me. Everything else was good. Service was very attentive, but not over-bearing.
Highly recommend a very elegant dinner experience!
Great experience all around. Awesome presentation with all 3 courses and prepared expertly.
First time eating at Biagio's and will definitely come again!
Food was awful Olive Garden is better. Service and drinks were ok.
Both the food and drinks were wonderful. Our table chose fish and veal entrees; all 4 dishes were cooked perfectly. The waitstaff was attentive, but not overbearing. It was an overall very pleasant dining experience due to the staff and the friends we dined with. The only negative would be that I would have liked to have seen a drink menu. Benefit of the doubt with COVID, maybe this is something that we needed to request.
First time eating at Biagio's. Prime time, Saturday night. The service started off al little slow, but each staff member did their part. I believe this was due to it being busy. Our waiter and one of the managers made good recommendations on menu items and wine pairings. The food portions were very hardy and the quality was top notch. Nice ambiance in the front rooms, we were seated near the kitchen. I think the restaurant did a very good job, spacing out guests while accommodating the number of people they did have for a Saturday evening.
The pork entree was tough. Other entrees were very good.
The food was very good as was the service. With Covid I had wished the people capacity of the room we were in would have been at State mandated protocols rather than a full house. I was also concerned that our waiter initially had his mask down when speaking to us but later was in compliance for the rest of our dining experience.
The food was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the mood for authentic Italian. The service is incredible. I felt like they were knowledgeable on all the recipes.
Went out for our anniversary. From the moment we got there, we were very well taken care of. Service was spot on. From first bite of dinner to the last bite of dessert. If you want to go out somewhere special, make it Biaggio's.
It was the celebration of my birthday and the first time that I dined at Biagio’s. Everything was divine! I look forward to eating there again.
Everything was delicious, the waiter was top notch. Biago’s never disappoints.
Biagio’s continues to be my favorite restaurant in Connecticut. There are so many high quality menu options that it’s a struggle figuring out what to order each time. Plus they have my favorite dessert menu and the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend for birthday dinners!!!;)
Disappointed. Overpriced. I left hungry. Ordered lobster ravioli and recieved 6 small raviolis in sauce for 23$. Average taste. Pleasant ambiance and service - no complaints there. Just portion size IMO is not worth the money charged.
I would go back the food was great! The outside seating area was beautiful.
Unfortunately, everything was just Okay. I expect abit more than okay in a nice restaurant. I was here years ago and don't really feel the need to go back anytime soon. The pros are that we got seated promptly, got a drink and bread fairly quickly. The bread basket had 4 small pieces of delicious bread with a tiny plate of hummus/ diced tomatoes combo- very tasty. When they brought more bread, they did not bring more of the Tomato spread. Had to ask 3x for it. That's a con.
Salad was good. Ordered rib eye special (medium). It was rather charred and more like medium well but it was edible enough to not send back. Served with 2 miniscule purple potatoes that were over- nuked and a blob of greens on top of the steak- con.My spouse had lobster ravioli- only3 given with a little side piece of lobster in the shell. He definitely could have eaten a few more ravioli. He said it was ok. The meatball appetizer and Apple torte dessert he ordered, he liked. Pro. So I realize Saturday is a busy night. But our waiter (Carlo? I think?) was nice and polite but non existent when we needed him. Busboys served food and left. We had to ask for grated parm for ravioli and peppermill for steak. Had to ask for second cocktail. C'mon!
I want it all when I go out to dinner: Nice ambience, good food and good service. With Covid, I realize seating is not always as optional as we would like. We were seated directly under the open window that views the cooking. Very noisey.
Someone kept screwing with the lights. so about 4x the lights were blaring so bright, it was like daytime and next minute it was so dim, you couldn't see!
Crazy. Just stating the facts.
A nice night out with good friends and with good food. Each dish is a work of art. Never disappoints !
The food and service is impeccable!
I had Sea Bass, which was delicious, a tender white fish that was perfectly cooked. We ate outside, where it was a quiet cool night.
The lunch we had there was absolutely delicious. We had the Prix Fix special which included 3 courses and was reasonably priced. I highly recommend Biagio’s
First time there and it was excellent. Our waiter provided impeccable service and I requested outdoor dining and was accommodated. We will definitely return in the future
Excellent food, selection is always varied and interesting.
First time for us eating out in a restaurant for many months. We always love Biagio's and because they now offer al fresco dining, we felt just like we were back in Rome. They have sectioned off an area outside and built a lovely pergola, and surrounded it with plants and bushes so you would have no idea that it previously was the sidewalk. As usualy, food was excellent. They had spaced the tables out appropriatly and waitstaff all wore masks and did a great job. Can't wait to go again.
Wait service was terrible
Ask for 3 separate checks. Calculated everything wrong and then became argumentative. Verydelayedwithnew billing. Spoke with. ? Sloppy dressed owner ??? Who also argued with us
It definitely is not Fine Dining
Good food; great staff and service. Unfortunately we were sitting quite close to an extremely loud woman who was talking incessantly to a woman across the room which made conversation with my dinner partner very difficult, I now know all about her youth in Brooklyn, the death of her husband, her fondness for tennis and her condo on the Intracoastal in Florida. Kind of annoying!!
Great restaurant with attentive staff
Dining during Covid is usually a challenge. Management did a good job in distancing. Food was very good and service was excellent.
We frequently visit Biagio's and always find the food quality, ambiance, and service to be outstanding. You will never be disappointed with anything ordered on their menu or take out meals! Enjoy!
Always a treat from the welcoming staff throughout each course of the dinner. Bravo, many thanks
Food was overly salty and tasteless. Wait staff did not take dirty dishes away before the next course. This place used to be my #1 for business and personal. Not anymore. Gave feedback via email and received no response and food did not improve. Will not be returning any time soon.
Our waiter was NOT attentive at all! We don’t need much attention but bringing us bread and checking on us would have been nice! He never came back to us once our food was served (by someone else)...never asked if we wanted another cocktail!
He was horrible! I would love to post his name but he never told us...he seemed to be in a rush the entire time! We asked to sit outside and they sat us in front of the window of the liquor store next door....just horrible!
We will NOT return!
Everything was perfect. Marco is the best. We will return.
Great food and service with outdoor dining experience
Been to Biagio’s numerous times, and this time was no different, the food , the service, all exceptional. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to go again.
Well done.. we did enjoy our meal and quick visit with owner.
Recommended restaurant and will be added to our normal rotation of dining out.
We were there for the first time 2 days after the storm. Unfortunately, they did not have electricity, so we ate on the patio next to the parking lot and liquor store. They did the best job possible under the circumstances, and the food was very good. We look forward to going again during more normal times, post covid!
Was a very pleasant atmosphere, food was delightful and the wine selection was great.... will be back when in the area.
Great food and service
