I had a wonderful time. Having the best table in the house made my hens lunch perfect. Thank you.
Party of 11- we had an enjoyable lunch, delicious food and wine in a beautiful setting.
Great wine, food and service. We had a wonderful afternoon and would recommend to anyone to visit here.
Beautiful place, lunch, and service. Would eat there again.
Service was quick and efficient with friendly staff.
Food was a good serving and very fresh, loved the Rigatoni, it was cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing.
We started with the antipasto plate to share which was filled with lots of different nibbles to try and they were all fantastic and a great way to try different things.
The atmosphere is very lively, friendly and an outstanding place to meet up with friends.
Helpful staff, lovely location but best of all the food was delicious. What more can you ask for? Browsing the books is a bonus!
A very pleasant way to pass an afternoon. The food c a me quickly and was very nice. Better sitting outside as inside noisy and dark.
Fabulous location for lunch in the Southern Highlands. A lovely venue, with great food, wine and lovely staff. Gorgeous gardens. With the benefit of a great wine cellar and book shop.
45 minutes between entries and mains
Steak was tough
Burgers wasn’t at a great standard
Beautiful food and great service. Lunch was very busy and all tables full. Staff were fantastic and work well together to ensure you were looked after. Lunch was served and considering the number of people there was no delay and was served in great time. The whole atmosphere is beautiful, books bountiful and will definitely be back.
Tranquil relaxed setting with wonderful service and menu. We can’t wait to return again.
The bookshop was wonderful, the setting gorgeous and the food doesn't disappoint
We loved our experience at Bendooley as we always do. In particular the waitstaff were professional and attentive. Even though we were in the last sitting of a long weekend we were treated with care and consideration. Thankyou
Six of us had lunch there. I was an excellent experience as always.
Excellent food and service . Was accomodating even with a kid
Amazing food, very generous pizza size!! Delightful waitress, prompt and efficient, but also didn’t feel rushed. Only down side was that the noise level (we were inside) got quite loud at points and we had to raise our voices to speak with each other.
Staff need to trained in hospitality and service. Very sloppy bordering on dangerous. Our server dropped a steak knife on the ground and then kicked it across the restaurant floor and left it there for some time seemingly forgetting it. Glasses were dropped and glass shattered onto an adjoining table. Another staff member loudly announcing to the entire restaurant they were sorry and everything was ok!? Surely a quick cleanup and a discreet apology to those affected is all that is required? The anti pasti board was put on a pizza stand on our table which ensured nobody could see what was on it. The selection was not mentioned in detail on the menu nor when it was served. No additional napkins were offered after we dropped ours on the ground. The venue is lively and set amongst a lovely backdrop of trees and vines but the poor service obviously from a lack of training is embarrassing and does not match the price point and expectation of what the experience is going to be.
Very disappointed. We were seated outside in the direct sunlight and had to rearrange the umbrella and table to sit in the shade. Food was very bland and the service was awful. Waiter knew nothing about wine when I asked the difference between two reds. We were so excited to have lunch here and were very let down.
Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere, with very friendly service
Great food, beautiful venue. A great place for a lovely meal.
Such a beautiful day sitting outside the book barn at Bendooley, great service, great atmosphere and so relaxing walking around the bookstore after lunch. Try the blue cheese pizza, even if you’re not a fan of blue cheese, you’ll thank me later!
This is a most enjoyable experience and does represent good value for money though it at times can be noisy
Pizza was amazing and the hot chips great service, scenery and busy venue. Lots to see and could spend all day looking out at the vineyard and or bookstore. Amazing we are considering having our wedding venue here xx
Bendooley was exceptional. The food, the wine and the service were magnificent. The beetroot cured salmon and the king fish were divine plus couldn’t fault any of the dishes ordered by 8 of us.
Great food and service only issue was the noise level in the back room and the unavailability of afternoon coffee which was offered as takeaway only due to a wedding setup.
Very disappointing experience. We were seated right on top of the open fire on a 20 degree day! The smoke was so dense in the room by the time we left, we were all coughing and were very concerned about the 4 children in our group. I suggest the restaurant rethinks its policy on use of the open fire as there are real health and safety issues here. The service was also very poor, with a real lack of training and professionalism being displayed. This restaurant has the potential to be amazing, given the food and location, however a lot of work needs to be done on client service.
Good food, great atmosphere. And the book store is a real hidden gem!
Wish we had known wine tasting needed a separate booking to lunch table reservations as that was on our list of to-do's here. But that just means now we have a reason to go back 😊.
Every time we come here we are always impressed by the service from when you step in the door to the food options and wine selection. Perfect place for lunch for a special occasion, day trip or if you are just in the area
The best dining in Highlands. Lovely autumn seasonal menu. Staff are always well mannered and attentive. Great rustic atmosphere in beautiful country setting.
Bendooley Estate is always a brilliant place to dine, the food is fantastic, the prawn Linguine is excellent and the wood fired pizzas are really different. The citrus samosas for dessert are outstanding and the "Bendooley Estate Rose" is one of the best we have tried.
The setting is amazing, set in a vineyard with a cool contemporary wine tasting room with a "Jules Verne Contraption Fireplace" is unique
Make sure to go here, it never dissapoints...
We were celebrating a special birthday and we had a beautiful lunch and the staff were amazing. We will all be back for sure.
Thank you for making this a birthday to remember for a special friend.
Have been many times always take visitors, food and wine is always excellent and value for money, staff are always helpful and diligent.
Great lunch and service. Lovely dining room nestled in rows of books.
Food was absolutely exceptional as always. Staff are very attentive and provide good advice. Atmosphere is always relaxed and not loud at all. Booking is very easy online.
Lovely leisurely lunch. Service was very good and the food was excellent.
A great option for lunch on the Southern Highlands. Good selection of food and beverages. Attentive staff. Pleasant setting and atmosphere. Give yourself an extra 30 minutes to browse the bookstore.
Charming venue, seated amongst the bookshelves with beautiful garden surrounds. The food was 10/10 and the service was unpretentious and spot on.
Wonderful for a warm atmosphere and delicious food
A charming and peaceful restaurant in an attractive and immaculately maintained setting. The food is excellent, the service unobtrusive and effective. And the accompanying bookshop is a delight.
Always a great meal. Super friendly staff and delicious food and drinks
