Bells at Killcare Restaurant & Bar
Great value for Tuesday night special, as the food was really good
Excellent ambience, food and wine to celebrate our wedding anniversary
Lovely lunch was so enjoyable. Staff very friendly and service was great. Love the food and the atmosphere so nice. Would definitely love to stay for a few days also.
The degustation menu was excellent, good choices, with great service and flexibility for allergies. The pace was very good, plenty of food served over a couple of hours. Highly recommended.
Loved Bells, setting beautiful, service wonderful and food delicious.
Not being from the Central Coast it was our first time at Bells and I was thoroughly impressed with all facets of the establishment. We will be back and will recommend Bells to whoever I advise CC restaurants to.
I was disappointed. I’ve lived on the coast for years and Bells has a great reputation. Service was great but very limited menu both for locals night and spring menu. Food was good but definitely not outstanding which was what I expected. Not sure what all the hype is about.
The staff were excellent and very attentive. Food was delicious and the staff explained everything. Highly recommend and would look at returning in the future.
Good food and friendly staff the food fairly roved but wine really expensive
A little underwhelming to be honest - nothing ground breaking.
Great lunch with a tasty menu and fantastic service
This place is top notch. Superior quality every time and the service is excellent. Incredible wine list. Love the locals night.
Bells was fantastic !
My husband and I went there for a beautiful Wedding Anniversary dinner and we were looked after from the minute we walked in the door. Service was on point and food did not disappoint. Highly reccomend 😊
I love going to Bells. Outstanding service, outstanding food as always and it’s why I keep going back!
Such a nice way to spend time with friends. Thank you
Enjoyable evening, tasty fare & attentive friendly staff. Recommend😊
We've had lunch here several times over the past 5 years and enjoyed the range of meals and excellent service.
This was our first dinner at Bells to celebrate our 39th wedding anniversary.
The service was friendly but not exceptional as previous visits. Eg.
• No complimentary chef starter was provided 😦
• We were not offered any additional bread 😯
• The empty bottle and plates were not cleared promptly even though the wait staff had been back a couple of times to top up the water 😐
• The wait staff had no knowledge of our visit and special dessert request even though it was noted in the online booking 😕
The dinner options was somewhat limited and pricey.
We shared a main sized pasta dish for entree. The noodles were very long and thick and quiet difficult to eat. The tomato based sauce was lacking seasoning and required a good hit of sea salt and pepper. No parmesan cheese or ground pepper was offered 😣
The flavours and presentation of the mains was very good.
The dessert range is good. I had the 3 scoops of gelato/sorbet. It was delicious, but the accompanying biscotti was way to thick and almost a tooth breaker 😐
My wife had the cassatta which we've had many times previously and is her favourite. Unfortunatley, this chef has changed it 😯 the raspberry centre was very small and the pistachio praline has been replaced by a biscuit crumb 😣
The latte coffee was ok but no accompanying biscuit was served as in the past 😣
The ambience was ok but unfortunately there was a table of two nearby that had an annoying loud laugh and a frequent 'smokers cough'.
Overall we had an ok time but think lunch is a better experience. We only hope that the chef / management hasn't changed the lunch menu too much.
Lovely meal in a beautiful setting with a delightful waitress- what more could you ask?
The room was a little cold and the food was good but not exceptional; in particular the duck was tasteless and I regretted ordering it. The service was good.
Incredible service, absolutely delicious food and wine, perfect ambiance, comfy seats for a pregnant lady!
Thank you for the excellent service, special attention to making our occasion great and including a young child. Much appreciated.
Just a great place to have a meal - the food and the wine list are exceptional and the service is always first class. Thank you.
We have been guests of Bells for many years. The food & service is always excellent. Possibly the best restaurant on the Central Coast.
Food was nice but menu limited - service was excellent and ambience very pleasant
Locals night at Bells on Tuesdays delivers value plus with two courses and a glass of wine for $45 per head. There was no compromise with the quality of the food and adding a dessert is just $10 extra. There is no better quality and value than this on the coast. Very happy to recommend Bells restaurant.
An excellent evening for our group of 10 on the "locals night". The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing, with a good choice for everyone. We had a great time and would certainly recommend Bells to everyone.
Had 14 guests for the family feist on Sunday and returned with my wife this week for locals night.
We are always greeted warmly. Food and wine are extremely good.
The level of service is consistently high.
A great place to share a sunday roast with family or close friends.
The food and service at Bells is always excellent. It’s not cheap but for a special occasion it’s worth it.
We had a beautiful experience last Friday (31/5/19) at Bells.
I was celebrating 30 years of friendship with my two friends and we went for the Fish Friday deal which was superb!
Fantastic meal and wine... and I must say that our waitress, Zoe, made it a day to remember.
She was fabulous to say the least. Through our conversation with Zoe, she found out that we all had started flying together exactly 30 years ago to the day, hence our celebratory lunch.
Zoe asked the chef to write 'Happy anniversary' on a plate and along with 3 yummy chocolates she delivered them to us with our tea...what a lovely touch!
Above and beyond service..... Zoe is a real asset to Bells....treasure her...she's the epitome of excellent customer service. Thank you.....we hopefully will be back soon :)
A beautiful location for lunch. Service was excellent with very experienced staff. The food was delicious.
Absolutely! Good service and food was great! We had the Sunday feast which was fantastic but way too much food haha!
Going to Bells is always a treat, and this Tuesday was even better than usual. Extremely welcoming staff, I thought locals night might make them drop a notch as the usual Sydney hoi polloi weren't around, but super professional in every way. Food was stunning, wine was great, table in a lovely position. Couldn't be better. Week done, Bells!
It is over two years since we dined at Bell's. Then we found the food was good but the service boarded on aloofness to the point of arrogance.
With I lake alternatives on the Central Coast we decided to try your restaurant again. This time we found the service was what we expect in a good restaurant. It was excellent. We will return
The food is to die for! Beautiful setting, fantastic service...what more could you ask for...
We went to Bells mid week for Locals night. Walking in it kind of had the ambiance of a nursing home. Clearly an older demographic. In our late 30s we were the youngest group there.
It was very very quiet which wasnt a bad thing it was just lacking a little atmosphere.
The food was good, it was my first time to Bells and i must admit i had pretty high expectations and i wasnt blown away. It was nice, not amazing. I had the cauliflower soup entree and the barramundi main. Neither were wow dishes and not unlike something id make at home.
Id like to try more of their menu before making a proper judgement on the food, but if you are after somewhere with atmosphere this probably isnt your place.
Id go back maybe on a weekend next time.
Fabulous decor and a lovely atmosphere however, we were less impressed with the service. Unfortunately the waiters were tardy with the matching wines for our degustation (which completely defeated the purpose!) and forgot two pots of tea and petit fours which were ordered to complete our meal. It seems tasting the wines at the bar was a more important exercise to them and we were ignored countless times.
The food was enjoyable and left us happy and satisfied so it was just a shame that the service didn’t live up to our expectations of a 5 star establishment.
Amazing food, wine even better!
Staff were friendly and helpful .
