Friday lunch 12-3pm
Nice table, friendly service, Angel Hair pasta was soggy, “chef’s special creation” pork dish was tough, the small Spatchcock was minute, they forgot one main course on a table for two (hard to explain) and the prices are more appropriate for a fine dining restaurant rather than the basic trattoria this is. Good wine list though.
We were there at 6.45 and our service was excellent, but friends two tables down, had to wait over an hour for their meal which was not good, having sat down fifteen minutes after us.
Our drink waiter spilt the water three times on our table creating a very uncomfortable table.
I felt the tables were too close together and with so many people, it made the restaurant very noisey and hard to hear conversation at one’s table.
I thought the food was delicious and adequate in size.
Our birthday party of six all enjoyed everything we had. The two chef's selections were excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. This restaurant is a winner for just about any occasion.
Food was mostly good, but overpriced in my opinion. Skirt steak was lovely, Gnocchi, not so good. Service was patchy.
Food, wine and service excellent as usual. Been here many times and has never disappointed.
The only reason I marked the service as low was because the waiter (dark spikey hair) was not very pleasant and did not set the table correctly. Pasta is eaten with spoons and forks, not just forks. He also forgot our drinks order.
Everyone else and the food was very good thanks.
Our best meal while visiting Sydney. Excellent food and wine and wonderful service
Fabulous restaurant. Been many times. Never had a bad meal. A true gem!
Great little authentic Italian, superb service and quality. Went back the next night also...
Great ambience and very intimate! Delicious food and great service.
Excellent menu options
Excellent service.
Excellent overall experience.
Never been disappointed by Bei Amici. Great food and congenial ambience.
It was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised with the ambience, food and service. I will be recommending Bei Amici for sure
Bei Amici continues to excel. It is a wonderful place to relax with friends over a fine meal. The service is outstanding. You are treated as a valued friend, not simply a customer. The preparation, presentation, and flavors of the menu items are outstanding. The atmosphere is casual and lends itself to great conversation.
Wonderful small neighbourhood restaurant - excellent food and service
Exceptional food with great wine list and service - a keeper.
Although we only tend to come to Bei Amici on special occasions, it never fails to live up to our last amazing experience here. Much nicer and more ambiance than a number of hatted restaurants.
A bit noisy when it is full house. Otherwise a good place to hang out with friends or neighbors any time.
Nice food but slightly pricey wine list. Went for the Tuesday Chef's special
My favourite place in Sydney! Amazing food and ambience
The food here is delicious - not stodgy traditional Italian, rather it's a little innovative with fresh flavours. The service is professional without being obtrusive
It was a busy Saturday night for the restaurant, so a bit noisy, but the service and food were excellent. Will definitely come back again.
Beautiful authentic Italian food in a casual and friendly setting. We chose to go for the chef's set menu (ci penso io), which is just $40 for three courses on Tuesdays. Lightest gnocchi I've had - would thoroughly recommend.
Dining alone presents some particular challenges, but I found the service welcoming and attentive and the food was excellent.
It was the best gnocchi ever, loved every course , don't know why we have not discovered it before , will definitely be back , don't want to rave too much or we will never be able to get a booking
Excellent suburban Italian restaurant. A little cramped but the food is really nice. Wine prices are a little on the high side for a suburban location but service is attentive without being overly intrusive.
Amazing as usual - bei amici is probably the only restaurant in sydney which serves you great food (flavour and execution) and provides a great service without being snob or/and starve you. It is not a "tapas style" restaurant ... it is good, refined and yet not obnoxious food. It's the perfect restaurant that incorporates art de vivre, friendliness and good value.
Bei Amici certainly lives up to its name. Beautiful friends indeed!
Every visit we've made to this classy restaurant is similar to visiting a very long standing and trusting friend's home. The service, food, wine selection and ambience are outstanding. The attention to detail, the professionalism of the staff and the sense of fun ensure a fabulous experience.
