Regular treat with my wife
Went for set menu. Not as described on your website. Horror of horrors! Wedding anniversary lunch and my wife finds a LIVE WRIGGLING WORM in her cod.
Meal and occasion totally ruined!
Received credit for my wife’s first and second course. I was left wondering about the fish I had eaten?
Main course choice was limited to cod or gnocchi. Therefore only one choice for carnivores. This is the 21st century and a supposedly Michelin chef cannot source and serve food properly cleaned and prepared. I have not encountered worms in fish over my 75 years!
The whole meal should have been credited together with a real apology.
We didn’t make a fuss-some would have done!
Very small portions drowned in sauces. Lacklustre food but superb service. What a shame.
Excellent food, service, elegant and outstanding place. I highly recommend......
Beautiful restaurant with great service and excellently prepared food. First time but it won't be my last.
Really good food and great service.
As ever an excellent experience. The ambiance is formal but not overly so and the space makes every table really quite private. The food was uniformly good though the portions are modest except that part of my wife’s meat was uncooked. While this was disappointing the response was to prepare her entire meal again, very promptly and at the right standard. This almost made up for the problem. The staff are always courteous and welcoming especially to our young (but well behaved young daughter!) .
Best risotto I have ever eaten ! Great desserts as well . Friendly service
We were a party of 6 people attending a lunch. The food and service were top notch and the waiting staff very professional. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we would definitely return to dine on another day.
Cosy restaurant and perfectly worked for a late dinner to celebrate my birthday.
Booked for Valentine's day and was glad to have picked this restaurant. My Fiance loved the place, food and service. We are Vegetarians (No Egg or Fish) and they were able to accommodate our requirements to ensure our night is not ruined. Definitely worth a visit.
Fixed price lunch on a Monday. Restaurant quiet. Very nice room - comfortable and light even with the amount of old wood panelling. Food was okay but not inspiring. Poached egg starter was a bit of a runny mess in quinoa; seabass and tiramisu dessert were fine. I would return but hope for something more memorable.
Haven't been to Brown's in many years and certainly prior to Beck. The meal from beginning to end - with one exception noted below - was superb. The menu was both creative and tasty and well presented. The wines by the glass were also superb. The exception was the martini - in a city that I believed was known for its martinis this was a grave disappointment - watery and not cold enough is hard to achieve. Will try again but perhaps without the martini
Good food and well presented. Waiters attentive without being intrusive. A good experience
excellent，menu change every week，never disappoint me
Absolutely amazing food and impeccable service. Pricey, but if you’re looking for an evening of culinary delight and attentive service, then this is the place to be.
The setting is lovely but the noise level was rather high (perhaps because of the wooden floors?). The servers were very pleasant and respectful but obviously very harried. They worked hard and did their best but the restaurant is obviously understaffed. The food is very good but not especially creative. It’s a very good place to go for solid upscale Italian.
The head chef at Beck at Browns previously gained a Michelin star as head chef at Apsleys, and is continuing in the same style here with high class Italian food based on luxury ingredients. I was particularly impressed with the signature fagotelli carbonara and by a stunning winter greens risotto with white truffles. The wood-panelled dining here is attractive and service is slick. Beck at Browns is a class act.
Great ingredients cooked perfectly presented well on the plates served delightfully by knowledgable staff.
All in all damn good
Attentive and nice staff. Delicious food ,mmmm the risotto calm and beautiful surroundings. Perfect place for lunch to wind down after shopping.
Excellent meal and service from the staff at the restaurant and starting with champagne.
Lack of good service. Waiters working very sectorized and unable to do anything for other tables than their own , resulting in extremly slow service.
Beautiful setting and lovely staff, but the service is slow and the portions tiny. Went out for more food after dinner 🤷🏼♀️
Outstanding in all respects
What an amazing lunch we had. My client was very happy.. the service was good but slow at times but the food was absolutely delicious. The scallops is highly recommended.
I will definitely be back here again
Our first visit to Beck, although we are frequent visitors to the hotel and the Donovan Bar and we were happily surprised with our evening at Beck.
Our starters were fresh and every mouthful was delicious, as were our mains.
Service was excellent.
Loved the Decor, very cool and understated.
We were however sadly dissapointed with our dessert, the Tiramisu was not to our taste and we had to leave after a spoonfuls which was a shame.
We'll certainly return, albeit for a special occasion as it turned out to be an expensive night.
Perfect for a classic Italian dinner with elegance, impeccable service and exquisite dishes. An experience worth repeating.
The food and service were exceptional. We have lived in Italy for many years are were delighted to have good Italian food in Central London.
Excellent food and service many thanks. We came for a lunch time treat, and it was a treat, we were a bit disappointed that he menu was all fish. But it forced us to choose something different and it was great.
AmaIng food and service the sommelier was amazing
Good food but overpriced compared to other good Italian restaurants, and there is a very expensive wine list and a rather pushy sommelier who got on my nerves by trying to tell me what wine I might like after I told him my preference. This space used to have good décor when it was a Hix restaurant but now it is overblown and really makes you feel you are eating in a hotel....which of course you are but it needn't be so obvious. Won't be going again.
We were visiting London from California and were lucky enough to find Becks at Browns Hotel. The service was fantastic with Angelo Lorea taking extremely great care of us. We ordered the octopus salad and it was one of the best we have ever tasted. I had the Cod and was not disappointed. It was perfectly prepared with fantastic flavor. I hope they open up in Southern California. Our best meal in London!
The setting is very comfortable and a lovely atmosphere, the service was first class and the food exceptional. This is a treat and should be visited by anyone who loves quality food.
Went there for a business diner, service was excellent and good price for some nice wine.
Have tried the new linguini alle vongole... excellent!!
5he food is simple and excellent... i will be back.
Ask for a booth/banquet table ideal for date and business meeting which sometimes are a bit the same anyway ;)
Welcoming and efficient at reception - took coats to cloakroom; excellent positioned table; staff very efficient and knowledgeable regarding the extensive menu/wine list.
Service was at all times attentive, discrete, friendly and overall exemplary.
Standard of the food was excellent and well-prepared with a suitable time between courses allowing a relaxing meal - nothing was hurried.
We went to try the new restaurant in Mayfair with my partner and the food was fantastic, service was fast and efficient and very caring... loved that they replaced the nakin of my partner when he went to the bathrooms, they did a special side dish for me that we mentioned during the order. The wine selection is great, some great italian wine maybe need to improve on the french selection. I would not be surprise to see a Michelin star coming there soon but i wonder if it is not too casuak for the guide...
We were there on a Sunday evening for our anniversary, and it seemed like they were short of staff. We had to ask repeatedly for a wine list, more water, bread, and the bill. We also saw a fair bit of animated discussions between the staff related to delivery of food to other tables. Several meals were left sitting, while ours came out and went back into the kitchen. The food was very good, but expensive if you don't get the discount offer we had. Several things on the menu were not available (2 items we tried to order). The staff who were there were very friendly, there just weren't enough of them.
