Food tasted fantastic, not cheap, but definitely feels worth it. Typically you don't see many Mediterranean inspired fine dining, so this takes those cheap eats' wonderful flavors and kicks it up beautifully.

Food quality is as great as ever. Service is a bit haphazard. Waited 15 minutes for our table. Ordered cocktails that took 25 minutes to come. Had to remind hostess and our server, and they finally came. Took a while to have our order taken, and waitress seemed ambivalent. But food was really delicious, and that’s why we come.

Good food, great service, prices are high portions are small.
No need to wait months in order to dine there, plenty of great Middle Eastern restaurants all over.

Bottom line, waiting 3 months for a table for food and service you can find in many other places isn't worth it, especially with the ridiculous 4% health surcharge.

Amazing food. We ordered to much for just two people. One dip, one appetizer and one entree enough for two people. Dessert was amazing. Similar to Baklava.

I took my girlfriend for her birthday. I thought the food was amazing, which is why I would still refer a friend. However, I was pretty annoyed that we were served the wrong food. We didn't realize we received the wrong appetizer till we were halfway done with it. For that reason, we didn't ask for them to take it back. Also, my girlfriend was pretty hungry and didn't want to wait longer for the food. Also, I didn't make a big fuss about it. It was just a bit disappointing because I had heard so many great things about this case.

From the baba ghanoush & grilled prawns to the lamb flatbread and porterhouse cut - everything about Bavel is amazing. By far one of the best dinner’s I’ve been to in LA. I took my girlfriend here for our 3rd anniversary and she was over the moon.

We had a late reservation which would’ve been ok if they hadn’t sold out of everything we wanted. We were disappointed, but what we did have was still excellent.

Didn't love my experience at Bavel. If you or someone you are dining with has a nut allergy the menu is VERY limited.

Bavel is by far the best restaurant in LA right now. I had to go back the following weekend just to make sure it was real, and it was. I was blown away by everything on the menu from the lamb neck, to the duck hummus, to the baby quail. The service needs some work, but the ambiance was great! I highly recommend!

WOW! We ordered 2-4-2-2 2 spreads, 4 sides, 2 Entree's, 2 desserts. Everything was amazing. My favorite was the scallop crudo. For our party of 4 we ordered 2. The wine was on point with our meal.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable, about the food and was super friendly.

Another blissful evening on the patio in Sharae’s section with a Half Aged Duck as my date. Could it get any better? I think not.

The place has high ceilings with cascading ivy, carrara marble tables with beautiful wood seating to accent beautifully. The cocktails were delicious and the food is a nice interpretation of Mediterranean cuisine. The noise level is very high, so be prepared to speak loudly at dinner. Our overall experience was good until the end when the manager asked us to leave our table. We were at our seats for 2 1/2 hours, which is a little longer than the average dining experience but not unreasonable. They said we could move over to the lounge area and that they weren’t “kicking us out” but they didn’t escorted us, they simply pointed to the direction in which we could sit, but there were no seats avail. A place that cares about their patrons would have displayed apologies and offered to relocate us to their lounge area, escorted us to the seats and offered an aperitif, not say “ we are not kicking you out but we are backed up so we need this table now thanks.” I wish I could say that statement was exaggerated but it was verbatim, that is in fact exactly how the manager stated it to us. Not how I wanted the night to end especially after a 300 dollar bill. I have never ever experienced that before, not in LA not anywhere in the world! It was embarrassing. I expected a little more from the owners of Bestia. Unfortunate.
