Service was fantastic but we found the food to be a let down and overpriced. The flavours were just too overpowering and not enjoyable. Every dish we had was just way too heavy.

However, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Interesting food paired with a good wine list in a modern setting. Great little local restaurant turning out excellent food. Highly recommended for dates and groups alike.

Waited over 35 mins and 3 requests for extra bread.
The food is delicious.
Quite cramped and each table had to shout at each other to be heard

Service was fantastic, staff squeezed us in after an error on my part in making the reservation for the wrong day.

We had the duck breast which for $40 had an expectation that it would be great - unfortunately it was chewy and left about 1/3 on the plate. Everything else we ordered was nice however the duck was not very good at all. No one asked us how the meal was, otherwise I would have been happy to share our experience of the duck dish.

Waited for 1st ordered glass of wine longer then 5min.
Waitress too mechanical no warmth, uncomfortably forceful in getting the food order.
The restaurant is shared plates venue so the plates should be coming at once or after 1 another usually. We ordered 4x simple dishes but was a long break only after the 1st dish (which was pita bread, veggie sticks and a dip)...no attention to our table...well, table?
Tables...hmmm we were seated on hi top chairs in the window looking onto the footpath and our backs to the crowd.
Value for money?? Overpriced for serving sizes, location and a non-hatted venue...you're paying for industrial interior look, thick fibre hand towels in deco glassed plants' toilets and non edible food arrangement.

We had an early dinner here before the comedy at Factory Theatre. It was perfect location. Really cool fit out and feeling to the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and took the time to go through the menu with us. The wine was reasonably priced but good. The food was all really tasty and a little bit different to your usual fare but all tasted great. Would definitely recommend

We were pleasantly surprised by Barzaari, standout dishes were chicken & 7 spice msakhan, tarama in pickle, tiropitakia, southern calamari ,sheftalia (sausage in pitta). The food was all freshly cooked to order and the homemade pita was the best I've had in along time. the sydney rock oysters were beautifully fresh but we felt the roe on top made them a bit too salty. The gin and tonics were good but expensive, we would have been better off having a bottle of wine but we didn't have time to linger. The service was nice but maybe a bit too quick to clear dishes and drinks. It's ambience may not be for everyone because while it's nicely decorated and lit inside the noise of planes landing and taking off is quite intrusive. Perhaps later when the restaurant is full, it wouldn't be so noticeable. We were glad we weren't seated outside where we had booked.

Short and sweet but it's all you need to know - food won't blow you away but is excellent with some wonderful vegetarian choices. Bit pricey. Reasonable wine list.

Beautiful meal and the service was very good. Our beef unfortunately was very tough but given the standard of the rest of the food, appreciate that this is not normal for this restuarant. I would still go back as they dealt with it very well.

I had been looking forward to our visit for some time. The quality of the food was beautiful but the portions were small and the price is very high for what you got. I think the serving should be bigger. I do not think $30 for a bit of cauliflower is good value. There was a cold breeze blowing from the open door

The food is fantastic, every mouthful is a flavour sensation making you only want for more. The fusion food style provides for a unique experience that is a cut above the rest. The service is lovely and the staff are helpful in assisting you to select the very best from the menu.

Really nice little restaurant but service was a little disappointing on the night we were there. We were at a nice table but were hidden around a corner and I think just got forgotten about at times.

Food was also good without being great and we were never told that everything was supposed to be share plates so it was a little awkward when everybody’s meal turned up and it was clearly not meant to be an individual meal!

Overall, a nice restaurant and would go back if in the area but with different expectations.

Barzaari, it’s Barzaari it is still open.My partner and I dined here Friday 6.30pm seating, when we arrived there were only a couple of tables already there. Our waitress said we have you sitting outside, the sun was beating down on the tables outside and it was a hot Sydney evening. We asked politely could we sit inside as it is too hot, she looked at the iPad and said no sorry they are full. We said well what about the bar, again no we are fully booked tonight. This didn’t put us in a good mood to start our dining experience. Reluctantly we took our seats outside squinting in the blazing evening sun, did I mention that Barzaari outside seating is literally on the footpath of Addison Rd in front of a bus stop. For those who aren’t locals this is a busy thoroughfare for cars and buses. Our waitress was nice enough, however, when we ordered our food we asked was that enough food. She said yes, in fact it was way too much food. We were completely stuffed in fact we left an ample of food behind. It would have been better if she had advised to cut out a dish.
Completely stuffed, we asked for the bill, not a cheap dinner at all $306.96 for two people, we had a $100 voucher that still didn’t take the sting out. When I went to pay there were still empty tables inside. This made my blood boil. I said to the waitress, just a word of advice both of us are ex hospitality workers me an ex chef and my partner front of house for prominent Sydney restaurants that is no way to greet customers to give them a good experience. There are still empty tables inside. She just looked dumbfounded when I gave her feedback and said sorry with a shrug of her shoulders.
This whole experience could have been handled completely different.

Not good value for $100+ paid. The Bites were tiny for price. However, staff were attentive & knowledgeable. Street location is very grotty & industrial, certainly not comfortable for outdoor dining.

The night we visited the restaurant was quite empty and hot. We had a booking, but were sat in a corner with another loud party next to us, so we could barely hear each other. We were really hot without air conditioning and the tap water was served room temp...no relief for a 36 degree day. However, the food is really amazing and the portions are what you would expect for the price. We would definitely try again.
