Excellent service, one of a kind experience in Chicago!
Ambiance is amazing food is good but a lil to pricey for me
Excellent ambience and presentation. Great quality of food and service. Kids friendly. Our family's favorite restaurant. My kids loved it so much they gave it 10 stars. Thank you!!!!
The service was amazing, staff was great .....and the food was simply amazing! I’ll definitely be back
Great atmosphere, food and service.
Server was Very rude. Poor delivery! Food overall was great
This has got to be one of the most amazing and unique experiences I’ve ever had IN MY LIFE!! This restaurant is definitely an over the top experience. We didn’t want to leave!
Our waiter Alan made our dining experience even better with his great personality, his amazing knowledge about the restaurant and his sense of humor. He was too cool and we’ll definitely be returning to this restaurant again.
Word to the weary, yes the prices are a bit expensive (to some) but once you see how the foods and drinks are served - you will not regret coming here!! It’s an all out experience you don’t want to miss!
Great restaurant to visit with family, friends or date night! We'll be back...
Amazing. Interesting. Such a unique experience. We loved every dish and enjoyed our server very much.
Amazing food, amazing service, and amazing staff 👌🏻
Awesome experience. Want to get a group next time so we can try more appetizers
Loved the presentation but menu should have the same variety as the serving trays
Drinks were amazing!!!!! I wanted more but didnt want to pay $26 for props ive already seen
The first time coming here and I am glad to have made this choice. Not only were the plates outstanding, the flavor was good as well. I thought it might just be all about the display, yet I was delighted to see how good the food was, and an overall excellent service.
Pricey but fun and eclectic.
I had been to the Miami location several years ago and loved the concept and the food. I have wanted to take my family there for a long time. I finally had a chance to do so this weekend and frankly found it disappointing. My wife loves cotton candy and I have always gone to great lengths to procure it for her. I thought Barton G’s would be awesome. They ran out. How does one run out of cotton candy? It is spun sugar, air, color, and flavoring. We were one of the few diners in the restaurant and the kitchen could not find our order: an expensive order of fried lobster turned cold and greasy waiting for a steak. Our server was nice and did her best. We spent the same amount (over $500) for three at a Michelin starred restaurant the next night and had a beautiful night. As much as I would like to say it was worth it, it was not. To make matters worse, my son and I each got lost looking for the bathroom. A few dollars on a sign would have helped. Save the expense: get a few clever drinks at the bar and wig stand covered in cotton candy at the bar and eat at one of the hundreds of other restaurants in Chicago. From: a lost customer.
Just over the top. A special treat!!! My 11 yr old granddaughter was really thrilled. Great for adults and children. Very attentive staff.
It was just okay. Presentation was cool but the food was nothing special. You’re paying for the presentation, as the prices are quite steep. Dessert we ordered the dollar dollar bills y’all and the accelerant didn’t burn off, it did not taste good at all. With a $39 price tag for dessert not worth it at all.
A bit pricey but worth having dinner for the experience. Hubby and I enjoyed each and was in awe of the presentations. Love the look of the place
I enjoyed every moment from start to finish.
Music was very loud, food was very average, some selections were cold. The price was excessive for the quality of the food and overall it wasn’t the experience I expected. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful.
The whole experience was positive. I didn’t think the menu choices for the dinner were good. Meatloaf is not really part of a menu of a fancy restaurant. Would’ve liked more appetizer choices. The presentation was great though. So this is an experience more than dinner.
Great presentation of food and drinks. The right amount of food, the drink were AWESOME!!! but I I didnt like the chandeliers and the bathrooms were plain!
The meatloaf was tasteless and undercooked. The mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes from a box and the green beans were oily almost greasy. I expected something truly fabulous to be done with such a simple meal. It wasn’t even simply done correctly. The presentation was beautiful but rushed.
Amazing customer service! Absolutely loved dining at Barton G! It was a great culinary experience.
Over the top presentations.
I had the best time. This restaurant is definitely a great place to go for a special occasion 😁
Loved the food presentation. My rib-eye came with a 3 foot tall fork. Unique experience.
I have been at the Barton G in Miami many years ago, this was definitely a bit dated and not as elegant. It is very much a tourist place but worth going one time for the experience as the presentation of everything from drink to food is very unusual. In that respect is worth experience. Witt all of the fine restaurants in Chicago I will not be going back there personally.
Birthday and Nniversry
Went there for brunch with my sister. Many different food options at the buffet. It was very relaxing which was nice.
Even with a reservation we didn't get seated till a half hour later. It took another 15 minutes to get a menu, water. It was too warm in there. Had to ask the manager to crank up the AC. He was very professional and obliged. I had the lobster and chicken pot pie and the Buddhalicious cocktail. Both were good. If you're looking for sophisticated gastronomy, this isn't the place. I don't consider this upscale dining. Too kitschy for my taste and overpriced for what you get. I took a friend there for her birthday and she loved it so that's all that mattered.
Everything about this place is over the top. The plates. The decor. The price. Even still, I was impressed with the quality of the food.
Presentation of food is very fun and impressed everyone. However, the very expensive meal was in the C+ category with the exception of my fish which everyone found uneatable.
I'm sorry to say all three families of us will not be returning. We have no problem paying for a costly meal at the fine restaurant if the food is outstanding. Since there were 10 of us, we ordered about all the dishes on the menu. The only good item was one of the desserts. Everything else was just kind of ok including the steaks.
Our reservations were for early afternoon so we were the only customers at the restaurants initially. Our waiter Terence was courteous, professional and even gave my Mom a birthday hug at the. Inclusion of our brunch. He was attentive but not overbearing. The food was fresh and the presentation was just as impressive. The decor was innovative and modern. All in all, Mom had a great time and even requested I bring her back for her birthday next year😉!
Food was excellent. The “pomp and circumstance” of the dishes is both extremely fun, novel and over the top. Definitely a great place for an impression.
Super fun for a celebration with great service
The experience was great. The food was good but not great but the presentation made up for it. It’s a must for a fun night
Service was excellent, presentatiion was amasing and so much fun!! We had an amazing time. Food was delicious! Great place, so much fun, great music, great atmosphere. We loved it.
Love the Lobster MAC & Chesse! Great champagne! 4 stars
