Our waiter was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food was good, but not as good as I expected it to be given the recommendation I had been given and the price of the meals.
I usually have a great experience at Barolo- it’s one of my favorite restaurants. Love the ambience. But neither of our meals hit the mark this time. I had the beet salad appetizer which was supposed to come with goat cheese and walnuts and it had neither. My pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil had an “off” taste - not flavorful full at all. My date’s gnocchi was over cooked and mushy. I was very disappointed this time- not sure if the kitchen just had an off night?
We are truly sorry that this time something has not reflected our usual quality standards. Honestly, I can't give you a precise explanation of what happened. But based on your many rewarding experiences, we would be happy to repair the event and show you that it was just a single and isolated unfortunate episode. Thank you
Food was excellent. As well as the staff.
The restaurant was very busy but the staff was friendly and courteous and worked hard to get us seated as soon as they could. The food was excellent, and we had a great time. I'd definitely take a group back again, although hopefully on a quieter night next time!
The first time we went to Barolo was 3 years ago for our anniversary , they said ownership has not changed but we were very disappointed ! I fell in love with Oso bucco from this recipe ! Not sure what happened to the chef but it was absolutely terrible !!! Mostly fat and a plate covered in sauce with no substance . I did bring it up
With management and he took it off our bill, which we did not ask for , so that was nice . Honestly , we won’t go back ! I was just thankful our guests from the east coast had to cancel at the last minute ( migraine) because I’ve talked this place up and it would have been embarrassing .
In town for a few days, wanted a really nice Italian restaurant. Barolo was listed. We were really early, but Manager greeted us and seated us. Definitely did not like our table. Considering we were not walk in. Seated in the middle, right by the waiting area. At least put up a divider or plant etc. Strongly did not like! Other than that, the food was amazing, the service excellent.
Got in on a last minute reservation, and we’re able to get an outside table which we preferred. Service & food was very good, but received the wrong meal (which was disappointing - was looking forward to a wild-boar dish & received sea bass - which honestly would have been ok had I not had sea bass for lunch)...
Didn’t want to wait for a remake, so had the sea bass. Not charged for meal) - an honest mistake????
Our waiter, Kevin, was excellent and the food was outstanding.
Very good , Portions are small but very good. Service was great.
The food was great but our service was terrible. It was our first time dining here and we will not be coming back. Our waitress was rude and sarcastic. It ruined the night.
What an awesome place to eat!!! The food was excellent, the waiter knew the menu and the specials very well and a great place for a romantic dinner as well. The service was outstanding... I will definitely be going back...
Food was excellent, service was excellent even with a large party behind us that our server was handling.
This is our second visit to Barolo. We had a great time. Really loved the veal carpaccio. The service was outstanding and Kevin was very helpful.
Great service, good food
A nice place that celebrates being upscale with a very nice interior and atmosphere. Wait staff are always professional and courteous, allowing time for conversation, you are never rushed.
The best Italian Food in Seattle. The service was perfect. We enjoyed our evening completely. If you want the perfect evening for a couple or a group, this is the place.
Simply put, Barolo is a Fantastic Restaurant. Food, service, a complete wine list for every taste Barolo has it all and more. Enjoy!!
Great! Very accommodating and made it a special evening
Our server was excellent and the food was delicious. We had to wait for a table that could have been prepared much sooner. And, we were not informed about why we were waiting. I called ahead to say that my guest would be early and was told that would be fine. However, we stood waiting for at least 10 minutes when the table, which was available when we arrived, was finally set, and the hostess seemed annoyed. My guest particularly enjoyed the fettuccine with crab.
Table was perfect. Food was delicious. Server was delightful.
Fabulous in every way. Great service and great food. No better place for Italian cuisine.
Very arrogant waiter. Long delays in service and poor. Antipasto was burnt.
We are very Sorry for the bad behavior of the waiter who served you, here at Barolo we are very careful in providing a high level experience, we would be delighted to be able to show you the authentic Italian hospitality, if only you give us the pleasure to have you here again
Great food. Loved everything we ordered. Waiter was friendly and cute but had to many tables to give attentive service. Would definitely return
Always delicious and great service too.
We loved our server. He was very helpful with wine selection and the menu. He suggested the Gelato with EVOO with sea salt and it was delicious!
We will definitely be back.

Terrible service, awful food, bad cocktails, overpriced, overrated.
We are really sorry to see an unhappy customer. Base on the few words spent, we are not able to understand how something like this could have happened. Barolo takes its customers and its standards very much into consideration, this is shown by the high approval rate. We would be very grateful if we could have another chance and have the honor of getting you back here.
Service was great. Food was just average. Restaurant had techno music playing in the background which was weird.
An innovative menu in subrurb an bucks
Kevin provided us with an amazing experience! It was our first time at Barolo and we will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our time there. Had the lobster risotto and it was good but not great like I expected. I thought the crab pasta was much better. Artichoke appetizer was great! Went for the panne cota dessert and I’d highly recommend that.
Stumbled onto this place 2 years ago and had a great experience. And I was really looking forward to dining here on our return trip to Seattle. It was everything I had hoped for. The food and flavors and incredible, and paired with a good Barolo wine, it just can’t be beat. I live in Southern California, and I will return to Seattle one day to dine here.
The waiter was very unfriendly and only spoke 2 words to us the whole time “yes” and “no”. Very disappointed in the service here and would not go back
The atmosphere was pretty nice and we really enjoyed the modern but classy soundtrack. Cocktails were great and the antipasto plate was very tasty but could have use more grilled bread. The main courses were inconsistent in that I had an amazing steak that was perfectly cooked but my wife had one of the specials which came with clams, risotto and halibut. The halibut was good but it the clams were honestly just gross. Outside was very chewy and the middle was something of a weird chalky mush. Not appetizing. The risotto was ok but the texture seemed a bit off. Then my wife found a rock on her plate and that was just...different. Service was fine but the food was pretty slow. The tables did also seem a little close together for the price you pay. I should say they did comp much of our meal due to finding the rock in the food. I can’t recommend them due to our first experience there. That said, it seemed like it was probably an anomaly that this was our experience. We may try again in the future.
We had been to Barolo before and loved it! This time, the food and service simply wasn’t up to the same standards. Which could have been because it was Tuesday night.
The original waiter who greeted us was warm and engaging. But he then turned us over to a different waiter who was professional, but aloof and unenthusiastic.
My husband ordered the lamb, which was over cooked. I got the gnocchi with pheasant ragu, and found it unpleasantly gamey, and the fine cube of the meat had a strange, rubbery mouth feel. We loved the sautéed calamari in the past - barely breaded calamari “steak”, tender, so good. This time around, it was lukewarm and rubbery. I love French 75s, but found the Italian 75 disappointing and overly sweet.
On a positive note, my son’s ravioli special was very good, as was the gnocchi margarita my daughter, and eventually I, ordered. And the focaccia was lovely.
It was my birthday, so we treated ourselves to a nice dinner prior to going to see Wicked. All in all, we paid $250 for a special dinner that didn’t turn out to be particularly, well, special.
great food and service. we had the same waiter two nights in a row.,
We went for our anniversary and they had printed us a personalized menu which was a nice touch! The house made pasta was amazing and the service and ambience is always great.
We love Barolo! Great Italian dishes, beautiful decor, good service. Momma Lee greeted us like old friends- know her from other restaurants and she always knows us.
Quite honestly the food is a little(and I do mean only a little) overpriced for the serving size and further the service was poor. Two different items we ordered, at two separate times, were repeated back to us by our server but never made it to our table. Upon receiving the check we weren't charged for them so I did not make a fuss but the attention to detail bordered on careless and I most certainly won't be back.
Horrible service and not worth the money. I have never been made to feel so unwelcome at a restaurant. Our meal was rushed and my whole experience was awkward. The food itself was pretty good but I can have good food at home.
It was absolutely amazing!! 👍
