The Tavern's décor has a slight tribal influence with original artwork, artefacts and a striking main bar which forms the centerpiece of the bistro dining area. There is ample seating on the deck overlooking the parkland area, an open kitchen with a fabulous woodfired pizza oven and a large children’s room.
The amazing sports bar has a massive 15m video wall and outdoor deck. There are 40 taps across both bars, a gaming lounge with 25 of the latest machines and a drive thru bottle shop on site.
Great and helpful staff that greet you and rake you to your table.
Great atmosphere and prices.
We really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely come back and tell friends and family about it.
The service was excellent and the food was delivered quickly. Family friendly with the children’s playroom. Prices were a bit higher than expected but overall an enjoyable night.
We love the wood fired pizza here! The pizza in the kids meal is better than the little frozen pizzas you seem to get everywhere else, good value food that tastes great, with a great atmosphere for families.
Great Food, great venue and really friendly staff. I can recommend a visit its worth the drive.
Beautiful new pub, but overpriced and average food. Drinks also really expensive. What ever happened to a quick cheap pub meal?!
We took the family there and we all had a great night. Very friendly service, excellent food and a beautiful venue. Well done - we'll be back.
I wouldn't recommend going at night - the mosquitoes were ravage and the staff didn't try doing anything to help all the customers being eaten alive.
Had one of the topped schnitzels - was pretty good though a little pricey.
Tables are way too small for 4 people. Meals are overpriced. Staff were lovely.
We went for Australia day lunch, good atmosphere however would have thought that it would have been more Aussie themed especially food, maybe suggest an Aussie buffet, sausages rissoles, lamb, pavlova, lamingtons etc. The raffles we're great and it was nice to support local school Baringa State Primary School. Overall we had a lovely lunch.
The only things I found uncomfortable were very noisy even though it was not totally full and size of table I felt was too small for four people
Modern decor well set out, gaming room, sports bar, and huge bar which faces the table's. Lots of greenery lovely view out to the park. Service was excellent a lovely young lady called Megumi. Dinner was very well presented, and cooked to perfection. Many thanks Baringa Tavern for a great night out.
Veranda sitting is very pleasant. Noisy inside. Staff are friendly. But I feel that could improve on the customer service side. Kitchen large, clean and open viewing. Colour decor is cool and fresh.
Very enjoyable night. Will be going back with other family members.
Eating area is beautiful and nice design, however the food really let us down. Food was very average, meals were very small for the price and not great value for money. Bar staff were not friendly. Serving staff were lovely and the girl taking the orders was great! Unfortunately we wont be back unless the meals got bigger.
Friendly and attentive staff. Tasty food but I feel it could be priced a little lower to represent better value for money. Tastefully decorated establishment
As soon as walked out, one of the staff offered to take the cake from me to put away, and when it was time brought it out with candle lit and took a photo, our meals were delicious, the manager is so friendly.
the grazing plates were amazing, our group ordered 5 and really enjoyed them all. Wood fired pizzas were a fail for us, two were almost burnt and the other two were really underdone.
Excellent family venue, our weekly regular treat - just a 5 minute bike ride away. Only criticism is that more entertainment for kids is needed - currently only the small games room that is really just a "pokies training area" , with coin-operated machines for kids entertainment. A larger area for kids with some decent activities available would be great.
We ride our bikes to the venue, for a variety of reasons, some decent bike racks on the open side of the venue (facing the park) would be fantastic and possible encourage others to bike instead of drive there also. We currently lock our (4-5) bikes to a bench seat outside the TAB part of the venue, not the best.
Pizza dough undercooked
Kung pow chicken lacking heat and flavour
Drinks way overpriced
I was very disappointed in food choices and cost of food. Food to me was fairly expensive for what it was. I had a pork belly noodle egg broth $20 in a small bowl whichI had only 2 small pieces of pork belly as big as my middle finger and half a hard boiled egg the rest was mushrooms and noodles. Very poor. I wont eat there again as it was so noisy, we left and went to IGA for a coffee and peace and quiet.
The staff were very good I had no problem with them it was just the food and noise of the place.
The food was terrible! I do g want to be that person who complains but it was extremely disappointing. The place itself is lovely and the staff were lovely too but the food was awful... none of us enjoyed it
Beautiful new area for Baringa. Steak dinner was perfect, calamari salad was yummy, Pork, belly, plums and potato was delicious, the coriander and tomato verdi just didn’t work on that plate.
It was our first visit to Baringa Tavern. The decor and set up was fresh and comfortable. The prices however were not as expected. We felt it was surprisingly expensive for the drinks from the bar
eg: $14 for a Glass of an average Mascato and $7 for a Beer Totaling $21 per purchase. For a Tavern in the middle of Suburbia offering no water views etc a little disappointing. The Food was well presented and tasted nice but was also a little on the pricey side for the location. Not sure we will bother to make the drive in again too soon. The staff were also a little lacking on the welcoming and friendly customer service side even after we searched for a team member and then waited to be acknowledged to locate our pre booked table and the place was very quiet so the staff were not rushed off their feet. Over all I hope things improve at Baringa Tavern and wish you every success.
Great service and food
Like the proximatey of the tavern but was dissappointed with the quality of basic meals. We dined there recently on a wednesday night so it was nt overly busy.I had ckicken snitzel which was overcooked and dry.The garlic bread was delivered cold.My wifes chicken nibbles were overcooked.Too much like Bell vista tavern.Parklands tavern seems to be the pick of them for mine.
We were made to feel so welcome and the outlook, interior and food are wonderful. A good kids room is always a winner with us, thank you!
Went for dinner and trivia. The trivia was great fun and will go back for that.
Dinner wasn't as enjoyable. I ordered the Barramundi and the fish was half the size of what it was a month ago when I ordered the same dish. For the prices they charge we won't be having dinner there for a while. Trivia was really great!
Still needing some fine tuning following opening. Tables to be cleared by staff instead of guest taking dished from the table. Staff need to follow up with guest as to quality of their dining experience once they have commenced their meal. Duty Manager was wonderful on the day.
Our second time to Baringa Tavern was just as good as the first time. Friendly staff and delicious food. I’m not vegetarian but chose the Grain Bowl on the first visit and the vegan pizza on Saturday. Both delicious. The rest of the table had steak, fish and other dishes. We were very happy and stoked to have somewhere so “nice” nearby to bring our friends and family
Best steak I have had in a while.
Staff were very attentive.
Great new venue.
The only thing I was disappointed with was the Menu. There are 3 Taverns (Parklands, Bell Vista, Baringa) in proximity of where I live, and they all have the same Menu. So to have some variety we have to go further away to other venues. Perhaps the Owner should vary their menus??
Sorry won’t be back. Food was not nice, my husband ordered Parmy which was VERY dry, waiter offered more hollandaise sauce to go with it. Other food was ok but not great. Menu was not good. Cocktails ordered took a very long time to arrive, had to ask twice where they were. Staff were friendly.
Was not very good as all. Food was disgusting, chicken was dry and tough. Another meal was cold and had to be remade
Was off to a bad start. Specifically asked for an indoor table but was seated at a very small outdoor 4 seater for 4 people. It was very windy and loud outside due to the storm. The table was completely unlevel and had to put a shoe under one of the legs to level it out. Out of 3 of the starters only 1 was worth it. The charcoal bao was fantastic, the squid was not cooked properly and the duck spring rolls were flavorless. The mains were all very nice, and could not fault them, as were the drinks and bar service. We believe these are just teething issues and with time will improve. So in saying this it will be quite some time before we return. Parklands tavern (run by the same management) will remain our go to tavern. No faults at all there.
I will give this new establishment another chance but it wasn't the best first experience. I reserved an outdoor table and they sat us halfway in/halfway out the door in a thoroughfare. Then they served one of my friends drink to the wrong table. Then they tried to say it wasn't paid for. One of the meals another friend did not enjoy, but the other 3 were great.
The food and service was good. Only downside was that the venue is extremely noisy
Burger had flavour just a touch dry. But of sauce or relish would have picked it up. Otherwise it was great
Better than expected after other poor reviews. Staff not as welcoming and friendly as they could be.
Yes if they have kids . Think it's a perfect place but bit dissapointed for just myself and partner , along with my parents who came along . I'm going to do a 'sandwhich' review because there are some good and not amazing feedbacks.
We are fans of the Parkland Tavern (not sure same owner?) Bigger space there, each section for the particular vibe your going for and we knew Baringa wasn't going to be as big but was a bit dissapointed with the seating sections.
We booked outside as I thought like most places would be quieter and a laid back feel but we were placed on the edge of the entrance to the deck area , right under speakers and next to family tables so was pretty noisy to us which always deters us at any place. I did think of requesting to move but there was a table that was fully outside only a metre away from us, it still would of been quite noisy , I think it was mainly the music we had to battle with . It felt a bit cramped too. With Parkland and Bellvista tav we were comparing the menus. Nothing wrong at all with the menu but was expecting more to be on there and where's the specials at? It definitely has more a 'posh tav' feel so we thought perhaps they don't need to do specials. Still would be quite nice to see though.
Visually it's very beautiful inside and out . The service was good, no complaints. The food quality was great . 2 parmi's , 1x steak and 1x pizza. Although woodfire base was so much tastier the pizza my partner got again preferred parklands flavour options (sorry!) We will have to give this a second go though to try the other flavours out. My steak was cooked perfectly - medium rare.
We all walked thinking 'yeah that was alright' even though it was good food I think the ambience wasn't quite suited for us .
We probably would make the extra 10min drive to parklands only because of the size that we can sit outside and it be more quiet for ones who want to be away from noise. Didn't hate it but wouldnt rave about it either.
Meals were small, pizza had very little toppings on it, chicken ka pow dish had a few bits of capsicum and spring onion but no real vegetables and were not real warm on arrival to the table. Probably won't go there again.
