Yes if they have kids . Think it's a perfect place but bit dissapointed for just myself and partner , along with my parents who came along . I'm going to do a 'sandwhich' review because there are some good and not amazing feedbacks.
We are fans of the Parkland Tavern (not sure same owner?) Bigger space there, each section for the particular vibe your going for and we knew Baringa wasn't going to be as big but was a bit dissapointed with the seating sections.
We booked outside as I thought like most places would be quieter and a laid back feel but we were placed on the edge of the entrance to the deck area , right under speakers and next to family tables so was pretty noisy to us which always deters us at any place. I did think of requesting to move but there was a table that was fully outside only a metre away from us, it still would of been quite noisy , I think it was mainly the music we had to battle with . It felt a bit cramped too. With Parkland and Bellvista tav we were comparing the menus. Nothing wrong at all with the menu but was expecting more to be on there and where's the specials at? It definitely has more a 'posh tav' feel so we thought perhaps they don't need to do specials. Still would be quite nice to see though.
Visually it's very beautiful inside and out . The service was good, no complaints. The food quality was great . 2 parmi's , 1x steak and 1x pizza. Although woodfire base was so much tastier the pizza my partner got again preferred parklands flavour options (sorry!) We will have to give this a second go though to try the other flavours out. My steak was cooked perfectly - medium rare.
We all walked thinking 'yeah that was alright' even though it was good food I think the ambience wasn't quite suited for us .
We probably would make the extra 10min drive to parklands only because of the size that we can sit outside and it be more quiet for ones who want to be away from noise. Didn't hate it but wouldnt rave about it either.
Meals were small, pizza had very little toppings on it, chicken ka pow dish had a few bits of capsicum and spring onion but no real vegetables and were not real warm on arrival to the table. Probably won't go there again.
The table we got was not what we booked. Then got moved to outside just as meals were arriving to a table with people already on it. Staff really couldn’t care. No apology. The meals were well below average and very over priced as were the beverages. May give them a couple of months to see if they improve otherwise we will give them a miss.
Great place comfortable, friendly staff, nice kids room!
The pizza was we ordered was burnt, plus we pre bookec an outdoor table and we were told we could not outside.
Overall shot place to eat
Nice new tavern and well presented until we got inside to be seated and was greeted by the seating waitress who was not that happy and mumbled at us. When my husband brought our drinks to the table the wine glass was dirty. I wiped around the rim of the glass on a white serviette and the residue was black, not sure what that was. Clean glasses are a must at a tavern. The food however was really nice and well priced.
Staff need a bit of training.
Food was a bit average. Meats over cooked and pastas under cooked.
Food all came out at different times.
Enjoyed our first visit. Will return.... maybe sit outside next time. Way too noisy!
Lovely new establishment, shame the service was lacking. I understand its pay at the counter type dining but this really lets down the dining experience. There seemed to be ALOT of staff just hanging around- meanwhile the line for food took 20+ mins
Really enjoyed the freshness of the complex. it wasn't cluttered and everything was each to locate. I love that you do the wood fire pizzas. I will definitely be back for those. Gotta love the deck area too!!!
Beautifully cooked rump steak, great decor, fantastic kids room.
Menu option and quality wasn't what I was expecting, fancy menu without the quality. Would be better if it was nore pub style option and pub prices. Was cheaper to buy spirits than beer.
Being only open for 2 days there will be teething problems.
Quite exspensive and small meals. Drinks exspensive and my son asked for only a small amount of ice and he was told that they have to fill glass up with it.. so it was a glass of ice not CC and for the price of top shelf it was disappointing.
It was a nice place, food took forever but would have been understandable if the food was good... Found my burger really dry and had to eat. A lot of money for a burger if it's not any good. And my cheese was hard and gross
Great venue. Was noisy but it was opening night. I had the pork nelly and one piece was beautiful but the other was dry and unfortunately nobody could have pizzas as the equipment wasn't working. The above can be expected being an opening night. Had a good time and will be back.
Opening night. Friendly staff. Relaxed feel. Modern tasty food. Will definitely be back.
The Thursday afternoon was the first afternoon I had off work for a while and I noticed that the pub will be opening up that exact day and did promise my friends to grab them along with me.
So I made a group chat and added 10peeps into it and as soon as I got the confirmation booking for my table, there wasn’t one little problem the whole night.
We love hitting up love places and we were all so shocked on good the tavern looked from both inside and outside. Yes the food took awhile, we were in the peak rush of an grand opening restaurant, but the drinks were served fast (even the cocktails) all the food come out together and was perfect 👌
Everyone loved it and the night was amazing, thank you Baringa Crew who did an extraordinary job on opening that tavern.
Baringa Tavern is a credit to Sam and all the Staff. Will certainly be back, only negative comment my group could find was probably the food - Menu seem to be the same at all the Taverns and needs to be changed. Adult serves of spaghetti bol, nice roast - bring nicer Diane Sauce - just a bit more variety . Will still be back cause was really nice
