Bardea Food & Drink

The service was lacking this night we went. Food was messed up once and drink orders were never entered therefore we waited longer than we should have to get them and then were asked to leave due to another reservation waiting. We would've been done had we gotten the things we ordered at a decent time.

Such a great experience at Bardea, as usual. Snapper tartare was mind blowing. Love the sharing plates. Excellent food, service and ambience.

Amazing service along with incredible food then ending it with the perfect espresso martini! The avocado is my favorite dish ever! We also enjoys the dry aged NY Strip, fennel pastry, rutabaga pave, and the amazing desserts not there names but it was a bread pudding, then Reese cup, and the amazing croissant donut!!! I love this restaurant and the unique flavors I get to keep going back to and trying!!

My wife and I had an amazing dinner at Bardea this past weekend. We made a reservation because we didn't know how tough it would be to get in with the limited capacity, and we wanted to make sure we had a spot since it was our first date night since our son was born. Bardea did not disappoint! Baylee (sp?) was our server and she really took care of us. She knew the menu in and out and made great recommendations ( I think 4 or 5 of the plates we shared were her recommendations). Each plate was really really delicious, and we only had to stop ordering to save from rolling ourselves out. From start to finish, the experience was special and a great way to celebrate our first night out. Thanks to Baylee and the rest of the staff!

The decor was pleasant. We got seated right away with our reservation. First tapped beer came warm and flat. The second beer was at the end of the keg. The mixed drink I had taste like grocery store mixers. Portions were appropriate but food just didn't have that fine dining taste. It didnt ruin our evening but it was not the best dinner.

Very nice place, love the Tapas style plates, the bread was amazing, we also had the meatballs, wings, mushroom tart, gnocchi, and the assagi. The service was great the tapas style plates made it fun since you got to try many different things as oppose to just having one big meal. Would deff recommend for a fun date night with good food.

Food was immaculate, our server was knowledgeable about the menu items, drinks were out of this world. If you’re debating making the trip to Wilmington- DO IT. Absolutely amazing experience!!!

Bardea is one of our go to spots and we can always count on an amazing meal. This time was no different! We had an awesome Christmas Eve dinner. Our server was great and hands down one of the best espresso martinis I’ve ever had. We have wanted to try the spare ribs but we are 0-2 on them being sold out. Hopefully next time we’ll be able to try them. Also, the graffie dessert was so good!! We almost ordered a second one ;) We have also ordered take out a number of times during the pandemic and they do an amazing job packaging everything. They are also strictly following all of the COVID protocols and we feel very safe going to eat at Bardea. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

Fabulous food, as always. Sampled multiple items. The gnocchi, buratta & prawns were terrific.

Food and drink were fantastic. Service was excellent. The staff wished us a happy anniversary when we arrived. All around a great evening. Would highly recommend.

We had a lovely dinner and drinks at the bar with Zach. The Nonna meatballs, grilled romaine and raviolis were delicious. Accompanied with the bread board they were even better! It's our go-to spot!!

Arrived and told outside was inside. Not close. Out of fish. No non meat option. Out of gnocchi. Out of grilled romaine. Other food was good. Distance from kitchen and bar to tent impacted service and food arriving hot. Would wait until guaranteed inside seating.

Excellent, professional service. We sat in the heated garden and it was nice and cozy! Loved the grilled romaine dish and the pizza of course!

Phoeniminal as usual. This time we tried a few new items. Noteworthy dishes: duck and the avacado small plate.

Best food I've ever had in Wilmington! EVERTHING we tasted was delicious. Love the small plates menu because we got to try a whole bunch of things. We celebrated my fiancé's birthday there. His menu had a cute note on it from the staff and they brought out sparklers and two glasses of Sprite (we don't drink alcohol). The music was great and the staff shined! I totally recommend you run there and grab a bite. We'll be back very soon!

Waiters were good with knowing the menu. The fish was amazing. Also the bread was warm and delicious.

Arrived early and noticed a nice table was available when I inquired was told that was reserved. Did not notice I could select a individual table when I made the reservation. I hate to say it but I have noticed that when I go to a high end restaurant like Bardea with a black friend we usually get the seat near the kitchen or bathroom. Not the same treatment as when I show up with a white date.

Food was excellent and Bailey was an excellent waitress however due to the way I was treated upon arrival I will never eat there again and would not recommend them to anyone I know.

Every single menu item is exquisite.

This was our third time at Bardea, which has never failed to disappoint! A good server can make all the difference, and Bailey's enthusiasm and knowledge of the food added to a good experience. We ate every bite of our Bronzino, and what the chef did with rutabaga brought tears to my eyes! Always interesting to see how the chef makes almost inedible veggies into masterpieces. Lovely ambiance, and it was clear that social distance and other precautions were followed closely. Again, thank you Bardea, for being you; for being open in these trying times and giving us something humanizing to look forward to. Wishing you continued success.

Best restaurant in Wilmington!

My husband and I are originally from Chicago, so we know good food. In the eight years of living in Delaware we have struggled to find a restaurant we love that is consistently good across every dish, every time. Because of this, I was skeptical to try Bardea, expecting it to be another disappointment. I was so happily surprised!

The atmosphere is nice: candlelight, wood floors, a fun wrap-around bar in the front, and wide banks of windows for people watching. The service was good; our server was very attentive while not hovering, and she was able to answer all of our questions fully and accurately.

The best part, of course, was the food. Bardea's menu is meant to be shareable, and we tried five of the dishes. I couldn't believe how flavorful everything was. There were a few things that we were unsure of--like pasta in a pistachio cream sauce--but it was all amazing. The wines were also lovely and not the run of the mill options you get at so many "upscale" restaurants. The prices were pretty spot on as well--good sized portions of amazing food for a reasonable price.

We ate on a Thursday night, during Covid, so I can't speak to the noise level when the world begins to turn normally again. It was very quiet when we were there--only a handful of other diners.

We're excited to return to this restaurant! I would encourage you to not hesitate; it's the best we've had in eight years of living here.

Great service. Mediocre food. Portions have gotten smaller over time. Calamari was tough and tasted burnt. Pasta was over al dente. Ribs are tasty were tender.
