Very enjoyable. Food exceptional. Had the great pleasure to meet Cory and had a photo taken with the other chefs. Recommend the degustation. Look forward to visiting again.
Friday night here felt buzzy yet not over crowded. Loved the building and ambiance, staff were charming. Everything we ordered was a surprise, I’d like to come back and try the shared dishes.
The vibe of the resto is business casual, professionals dine in type of feel. Although the food was good, the service was so slow. We had to wait nearly an hour for our mains which is steak - medium rare that shouldn’t take long.
And waiters giving us dessert menu when we haven’t had our mains yet. Overall I would go back but hopefully they have better service and quicker chefs.
Too expensive, no complexity to dishes to justify cost

Caught up with a friend during lunch. We made a booking but was not busy. The food was good but quite pricey. Service was polite but I sensed they were not entirely pleased that we had a light bite since we were both not hungry.
Great service in a fantastic location. The wine list is very expensive. Have a pre dinner drink upstairs at Smoke Bar beforehand.

Uber cool architecture but is sadly let down by the overpriced menu serving small portions. Left Bea disappointed and hungary More style over substance. There are better value restaurants along the harbour front just not with the view which is what you're paying for.
If you have tons of cash to help burn - this is the place for you - otherwise go elsewhere.

Matt Moran - you need to address this. Arrogant waiter - Yan & food very average, Smoke great one day & abismal the next.
Great Aussie food but on the pricey side. Amazing location and perfect venue to have dinner with the sun setting in the background.
Underwhelmed & disappointed. As we’ve been to Matt Moran’s other restaurant s & had certain expectations but unfortunately left with unpleasant experience.
The concept is "casual fine dining" and it's hard for me to accept that the two can go together but as most people don't dress up anymore I guess it was inevitable that a restaurant of this calibre would eventually give in.
Having said that most people dress up! And the food is amazing. And the view, especially if you can get a table at the edge, is, while not quite as spectacular as the bridge, still pretty cool.
We arranged to meet at Smoke before dinner at Bea, but could not get service until I cornered the Manager who suggested that I queue at the bar and order my bottle of wine and four glasses there and carry them to a table. I was not happy with that and eventually I was able to get service from a charming female hostess. Despite having a table reserved at Bea I still had to give my credit card in order to get my bottle of wine and then they had trouble charging it to my dinner bill at Bea despite being told it was no problem. The service was pleasant but very slow and the signature duck dish was very dry and undercooked. It had to be sent back.
I think the chef is trying to be too clever.

Sadly we were disappointed. The food was presented beautifully but that was the better part. Really lacking in flavour and VERY overpriced for the serving size. The restaurant was stuffy, possibly the western facing windows with no cover? The staff were polite but nothing I wouldn't have expected. The meals were served too quickly after each other. Overall...boring food and a letdown
Thoroughly enjoyed the food. Service was excellent, although a little bit too attentive until we we had placed our order. The wine list was diverse and had an excellent array of choices. The sommelier had brilliant knowledge and her recommendations turned out to be spot on. Also impressive was the knowledge of the waitstaff of the menu. The ambience was good. There were a lot of people in the restaurant, but this did not affect our ability to share an intimate meal together.
Staff friendly and capable. Not a restaurant for the moderate income earner. Cheapest glass of my wine preference was $22 a glass. 2 whole cooked carrots on a plate with a fancy name but not particularly fancy to taste $12. Menu difficult to work out. Not a large selection of entree,mains. Had to wait in line for the ladies toilet for 10minutes that is after walking up. 2 flights of stairs. No bathroom ammenities on the restaurant level. Who designs that. ??
We had the shared menu. Great choice and lots of food. Service was great and the Wine Waiter was experienced and very helpful.

The food lived up to expectations so hats off to chef. Amazing. Some had the "feed me" menu and my only negative comment was that the fish dish and meat dish came out together. Would of preferred separate so as to enjoy the white and red wine we chose more. Staff also need to be able to answer any questions about the menu instead of having to go and check. Otherwise a very pleasant experience and yes, I will be coming back again.

Bea was nice but not awe inspiring. Great view but cannot be seen when seated due to the height of the balcony! The wait staff were overly attentive to the point we felt bombarded at one point with information about the food we were eating and the wine we were drinking. I found a long strand of hair in one of our sides ordered as part of the Feed Me menu (degustation). The Barangaroo House inspired chocolate dessert that was a house favourite was not my favourite unfortunately.
Food was good but service was abysmal. Initial drink orders on arrival took 15 mins. Had to remind waiters re drink orders on a number of occasions. Wine glasses were rarely filed without a prompt to staff. We made our feelings known at the end of the night. For the prices charged the service was nowhere near an acceptable level. We were there for my wife's birthday and to have our guests commenting constantly about the lack of service did not make for a great evening.
Went here for our anniversary dinner and the staff were lovely. Food was nice and light, not too heavy.
Despite great expectations, Bea met almost none. Clearly trading on the location and Moran’s name, everything else was average to downright lazy. The food was adequate but uninspiring, and wildly overpriced. Simple dietary requirements seemed to pose too much of a challenge and eating with an odd number of people with plates ‘made to share’ between 2 generally left us shortchanged. Staff seemingly ignored a deafening metal gate slamming intermittently, and were hard to attract for assistance.
Barangaroo house did something special for our one year wedding anniversary celebration! The staff are so friendly and taking care of us very well!

We had the ‘Feed Me’ shared meal which was very good and enough food to be comfortable at the end.
The occasion was noted by the staff and they looked after us very well.
Was looking forward to trying Matt Moran’s new ‘baby’ . Was neither fabulous nor bad.., enjoyable... less formal than we expected. Had the chefs menu. The scotch fillet was yummy, especially loved it with the side dips of tarragon emulsion & another delicious butter mix. Lucky I didn’t ask what it was till after we’d finished. It was crushed crickets! I’m sure with some spices etc. anyway who knew how delicious crickets were! Other highlight was the chocolate caramel dessert.
A terrific venue, sitting on the balcony so noise was not a big problem though the thumping bass of the background music was a bit hard to ignore.Food was excellent and staff very helpful and friendly.
The menu includes unusual items like fire ants and crickets. So if you’re into experimental food and the exhorbitant price that comes with that experience - go for it.

The service and waiter need a little more training on but you are only two weeks old.
The service for the value of money don’t match. Little things like making sure your napkins are placed on lap when seated and folded when you make a trip to the bathroom.
Love your stereo system, great sound and it sets the ambiance nicely.
Loved everything about our visit to Bea... will be back :)
