The two-story restaurant, spanning 8,000-square-feet, is located in the heart of restaurant row in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. Upon entering, there is a bustling bar and on the second floor, a vibrant dining room, both connected by an arresting illuminated sculpture inspired by Siena Tavern's olive tree icon.
Bar Siena is the perfect location for weekday lunch, dinner, happy hour or weekend brunch. If you're looking for something a little sweeter, stop by Bar Siena's side-concept and walk-up window, BomboBar, located on Green Street. Grab a coffee, bomboloni, gelato or hot chocolate to go!
Short Rib Lasagna

Black Truffle Risotto

Ok. Food wasn’t that good at all. Very pricey for the quality. Drinks were ok. Honestly, there are by far better restaurants around the area. I was very dissatisfied with the food and service. The hostess was very nice but our waitress had no personality and was rude.
Perfect day and perfect occasion
Had a great experience dining and drinking with friends. The drinks were delicious and the service was excellent!!
The service is terrible. I booked a reservation on opentable and they turned us down due to the fact that the kitchen was “closing soon”. Even though we had a booked reservation!!! They sat a group right before me and the manager had terrible customer service when discussed this problem. He was rude and had no understanding or concern when dealing with customers. Never going back here.
Amazing per usual
Food was very good as always. Limited menu because of the Covid 19 limitations, however, everything they offered was selected in great taste. Something for everyone. The chicken was very good for sure as was the octopus appetizer. Sat outside and enjoyed a most beautiful patio!!!!~
We were celebrating a couple of friends having just moved to Chicago! We sat outside and it was really pleasant, quieter than inside.
We loved the food. We had the avocado toast and lobster Benedict. We were sat in the street near the curb so our table was tilted and I got to sit right next to the gutter. Was not thrilled with that but the service was great & know that it is a difficult time right now with Covid and the government taking our rights away to make a living. So I will definitely dine again but will request a better seat.
The patio was pushed out into the street so there was plenty of room between tables. I was such a nice night, we will definitely be back.
Food and service were great as always.
Pretty good. Been here a few times - nothing you’re going to write home about but great place to get consistent food and have drinks with friends
Food was delicious and it was so lively. The only issue is that they are not enforcing people wearing a mask. When people walked out of the restaurant or to the bathroom people were walking around like it's nothing.
Great service and food. The cocktails were amazing. Felt safe and healthy during our time as well.
Great intro back into restaurants post shelter in place. The food & service were amazing. The social distancing was a bit shaky. The tables seemed too close but we lucked up & got a corner out of the busy front area. Wish there were more small meat plates but the overall selection was great. It was a bit pricey overall but again, worth the taste.
Another wonderful dinner with my girlfriend. This dinner was perfect, and being able to share it with her made it a evening I will never forget!
Sat outside - highly recommend if the weather is right
Great spot with amazing food. I go there a lot!
It was decent but no real social distancing rules implied
The food was excellent, but when I pay $200 for dinner for 3, I want it to be an event....with time to enjoy my cocktail, and then receive my appetizers. For dinner to be delivered after appetizers are finished, and I'd like to be given the opportunity to order a second drink. If I want to eat dinner in half an hour, I can go to McDonalds. I've never felt so rushed through a meal - and for no reason. They were not busy, but staff needs to be trained on how to time the delivery of a meal. Very disappointing. Fabio would lose restaurant wars because the front of the house was terrible.
Creative menu, great wine selection. Really enjoyed this place.
Food was overcooked, place was basically a nightclub at 9pm. Overpriced because of the location but the food was not up-to-par of West Loop standards. Restaurant smelt like soap in a bad way. Overall, not a good experience.
Consistently good food. Brussels sprout salad and grilled octopus excellent. A little pricey for portion of size. We shared but don’t have big appetites. Our server Allison was great!
Lively atmosphere and good food. The service was great as well.
I recommend Bar Siena in the future. The ambiance is fantastic. Upstairs seating is great for a date!
We came here to meet my friends who were in town. We ordered two pizzas one with meat and one without. Had the kale salad and donuts.
The food was great, the ambiance was great, and the service was quick.
Everything was great especially the bar tenders! Great service from them
Very good food. Best to make it a tasting menu sort of thing. The cotopus was very good. The cacio e pepe pasta was truly wonderful. Then we shared a pizza was was also very good. It was a lot of food but pizza was wonderful left over. Atmosphere is fun and lively. Felt a bit rushed however. as soon as you were done with a plate someone rushed over to take it even if it had a little left on it. Went on a Saturday night so it was pretty crowded. Would go again I'm sure.
So many amazing options on a Friday during lent. even offered to help make adjustments to the menu to avoid meat! Thank you!
Yesterday was the first time my friend and I had dined at Bar Siena. After hearing great reviews time and time again, we decided to give it a go. Food was great and so was the service, but not for the price. To start off, I ordered a glass of wine and the sweet corn ravioli. That alone totaled $35. The entree dish came with only 6 pieces of ravioli. For a $20 pasta dish at another Italian restaurant in the city, you could feed at least two people. Unfortunately, after my entree I was left hungry. My friend and I decided to order the bomboloni for dessert and that was the highlight of the meal. Overall, a glass of wine, entree, a shared dessert and tip cost me over $50. For lunch, that’s a little excessive. I will probably not be returning.
Lively, busy and fun place for brunch! Wide range of menu choices and interesting choice of cocktails.
Jonathan the bar tender was exceptional. Good food suggestions and really great drink suggestions Really made our afternoon fun
We had a great server, whose name I cannot remember, but she was always right there with a coffee or water refill and made some great recommendations for breakfast.
With so many brunch spots in the neighborhood it was tough to decide, but we will definitely be back!
My go-to place in the area. Good food and drinks and crowd. Service is great and very attentive management.
ate at the bar on Sunday 02/23/20 around 10:30 A>m till noon.
the bar tender that took care of us.
male- 25 ish
short blond hair.
good job in your employee training.
Great food, great service!
Went here to try another Italian place for date night and it was not the best fit. Most upbeat music and bar/drinks scene. Good food though, very pleased with gnocchi and carne pizza. Willing to remake pizza when there were ingredients not listed on the menu on the pizza when delivered to the table. Overpriced wine menu, would be hesitant to go back at night time.
We had a great meal. Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive. My only complaint is that service was a bit rushed. Entrees arrived before we were finished with our appetizers which is my pet peeve. However, the short rib lasagna and lobster pasta were excellent.
The staff was excellent, and helped us with our stroller. Our server had great recommendations and and seemed very knowledgeable. Will definitely go back, and would definitely recommend!
Our waiter was energetic and fun, the food was great, and the surrounding area was perfect for a night out. We ordered the charcuterie which came with honeycomb, homemade jam, and plenty of cheeses and meats. We also got the half chicken and a pizza. All great.
I don't remember our server's name but he was amazing! We had a not-so-great experience there the last time we went but his service made up for it. Food was very tasty and came out rather quickly despite it being crowded.
